24 A Dance

"I believe these women are the ones that are visually suited to stand next to His Highness," Lucius smiled at Prince Maximilian. "Do you agree with me?"

When Eve heard this, she looked at the other women and realized that Lucius chose the most visually pleasant ones.

She did not know if this was a good thing or not.

Eve lifted her gaze and stared at the Prince who was talking to Lucius.

"So you think that one of these women is going to become the next princess?" Duke Kier asked.

"I do," Lucius said with confidence.

The man's facial features remained constant, even when he was lying; the same tiny dimple on his right cheek and the slight twitch of his eyebrow were still evident.

In fact, he still looked exactly the same since the last time that she saw him.

He still had long black hair that fell sleek around his face and deep brown eyes that seemed to hold a world of secrets and hidden desires.
