23 Vanessa's Birthday

(seer POV for now)

(The world's calendar is the same as ours/ real life just to make things easier and more understandable)

A couple of months have passed since I turned 18 on October 17th, it is now January 23rd.

Every year many people get prepared and excited for Secarlla accepting enrollment, but that is a long way, enrollment starts on September 1st.

That is still a ways away from today, I don't know what to give Vanessa besides making a nice dinner, but that is not a gift and is more of a requirement. I've said this multiple times but she has done the most for me and I don't know how to repay her, all of the heads have.

The only thing I can think of giving her is some jewelry but I don't know what kind of design she would like, I could make it with my mystical powers. After tampering with my powers It is the power to create or do anything, of course extremally simplified but that is what the power does.

I have created my world where time stops while being in my world. I also trained in it from time to time but haven't sat in there for more than a couple of days because I feel it is a little inefficient to practice without my teachers and bringing them in would cause a different set of problems.

My idea is to give her some jewelry made by me to compliment her dress, I don't think that will be enough so I am debating if I want to do that because she might turn me down or make our relationship bad or awkward.

I decide to use my powers to make a nice silver necklace with a red jewel in the middle.

I haven't gotten extremely proficient using my other powers so I can't create anything only small objects, teleporting, and my world (the only reason why is because it was given to me with those powers so I didn't have to learn it from scratch, but I don't know that )

What do I want to do? You will have to wait until then.

Well, I start by preparing a special meal, which consists of a nice salad (with vinaigrette mixed with my blood). Then a potato soup (also mixed with some of my blood), and after that, I bring out the main entrée a lobster and a side of oysters, with a marinara sauce (also mixed with my blood).

You may be yelling at me "they're all going to taste the same because the iron in the blood will overpower a lot of the food" no because it has a lot of spices and I didn't put a lot of blood just a bit.

I make sure to ask the servants to not wake her up at her normal time and let her sleep in, I also trap the air so the scent doesn't leave this area so she doesn't smell it.

After that, I finish making her a birthday cake and put some small details on the top that she might like.

Besides cooking the rest of my day is training and going to her banquet, you always have to train, one day I will be strong enough to assist and help Vanessa, but for now, I must attend her banquet and be by her side.

(POV Switch to Vanessa)

I woke up and check the time, I realized I slept in.

Surprisingly, no servants went to wake me up but putting that aside I walk out of my bedroom and into my bathroom to get ready for today.

Since today is my birthday I must do a little bit of preparation. I guess the servants didn't wake me up because they are preparing for my birthday.

The banquet is going to be held at midnight so I have a bunch of time even though I got up at 11:00 am.

A lot of it is formalities and bribes, the other heads also give me gifts and chat with me for a bit, which is generally the best part of these banquets. The gifts don't mean a lot to me because a lot of them are to get me into good graces or to show how much they "want a marriage". Other times it is just because it is my birthday which is fine I would rather it be that way instead of getting myself it for something else.

I've talked with a lot of the families and I can tell they respect me and I think most of the gifts will be genuine this year, so that will make it a little better.

I also have Seer with me this year, the other years were fine but it wasn't as big of a deal because I am turning 100, which is a big deal for vampires. Since Seer turned 18 it wasn't as big of a deal as turning 50 for vampires but it is still a big deal for humans so we just celebrated it with the family and the other household but not a public celebration.

As I walk through the halls I see the servants scrambling to make the house clean and get the house ready for her birthday party after the banquet.

With the hustle and bustle, I see many servants go into the kitchen and out of the kitchen I wonder why?

Well putting that aside I make sure I have everything and start to get into the carriage and we go to the banquet center. We arrive and it was a big place with really fancy walls, table covers, and many food and drinks lying out on the tables for anyone to have. I walk in and make sure there is everything that is needed and started practicing my speech.

After a couple of hours, I see Seer walk in and help set things up. I see Seer start to walk up to me and he tells me that the banquet is about to start.
