Forgot The Words

Ethan

Being in the bedroom with Demyan, in my bedroom, in what used to be our bedroom felt so painfully real and raw that a part of me wished I could wake up from this and it could all be a dream.

I would have preferred for it to be a dream honestly, because once he had calmed down and come to his senses he would probably leave the first chance he got. That would be the stark reminder that tonight was real. That he truly had been in my penthouse, holding the ring I had worked hard for a whole year to afford and two months to design.

I remembered the dedication I had to find the right jeweller who would design a ring better than anyone in the family, better than anyone in the world had because I simply wanted Demyan to have the best. The best of everything because to me he had always been my number one.

He had always been everything and so much more.
