1 The End

".... wake up"

I hear some one try to coax me from my sleep. I cannot recall the name used but deep down I believe it to be mine. Slowly I open my eyes. "*Gasp* What are you?" I see the faintest outline of four things sitting around me all looking at me. I feel something tinge inside me unable to take my own eyes off what lays before me I believe it to be some sort of longing. I push it farther down than where it started inside me in an attempt to overcome the shock I just suddenly received. "Give us where what and how?" The man(?) in the middle said. The voice and shape provide no inclination of what gender they to be but man will be what I go with. "Well!!" Another shouted in anger. "I don't understand..." I reply with my voice shaking.

"Let me explain. We made an error in a recent experiment calling your soul to us. We want to pay you back by allowing us to place you where ever you want, with whatever 1 thing you want, how ever you want." One of the other two beings stated. "Hurry if you would please." The last one commented. "We need to continue our experiment." I look around to see if any thing in the room could help me with my request. I don't remember much from before I was summoned. Well I don't remember anything actually. So let's see how far I can take this. "I want to go to a place with swords, spells, and adventu..."

"Done!!" The second being shouted again. Almost knowing what I desired most. "I would like to be reborn if possible as the most common race in this world. What I want is knowledge." I finish my claims as quick as I could. The being to speak last simply laughed as my final demand be made.

"We must discuss for a moment." The man said carrying a look filled with curiosity and content. With a wave of one of there hands I felt exhausted unable to maintain my consciousness I faded into a deep sleep.

"How many times does this make?" "Oh I think this is the 15th time we have brought him back to us with no luck." "With such high hopes the last time we sent him off when he said we looked familiar." "HOW MUCH LONGER MUST WE WAIT!?!?" "This is why we decided to give him something as a jumpstart for this time." "Cease your nagging. Knowledge is too much for him at this point in time." The conversation hit a halt. All of the beings began thinking of how to please this request, this thirst for knowledge. "Maybe we can ask to clarify when we wake him next the other two requisites are no matter in the long run." "Might have to suggest an alternative request as he is unable to control all knowledge we possess."

"Let's see how much these worlds we are sending him to are influencing him." "If he ask for what he can contain we will grant it if not our brother may be lost forever. Our counsel might just have to carry on without him." "After all he did you wanna just abandon him only after a measly millennia. That's unfair to him seeing as we all took countless to form." This counsel began to argue for a short while after some hasty words. All ended in agreement to test their brother.

"Fine let's begin our test. Awake..."

They call for me again. This time I snap awake as fast as I possibly can with fear in my heart. "I apologize for my rude asking. I just didn't wanna go to my new place of belonging without knowing anything about it. I wouldn't mind knowing things from where I came..." I spat out in a frantic manner. I was about to continue but one of them brought up a hand in silence. Another wave and two tomes were produced out of thin air. "Knowledge cannot be given only obtained. If you want to know then gaze upon the pages lying in these books and all that you want to know will be provided." I shake my head in denial I'm something so small how can this be happening. The tomes shrink as the approach me becoming the size of an average book but lacking a fullness.

As I open the first book, "thank you oh great ones." Not looking away from the book I gaze at the single page with no words lost in comprehension. "That is universal knowledge from your past place of inhabitants." This is not possible all that which was known on a single page. It felt like I was staring into a deep chasm unable to even imagine the bottom. Some time passed resulting in less and less comprehension comes. Soon after nothing more comes into my mind. Or I think it's my mind. I reach for the second book. "Hold on." One of the beings cried out to halt my progress. "Yes sir did I do something wrong." I asked quizzically. "Not at all. Just making sure your mortal self can withstand staring at the abyss for so long don't want to break you." "I feel fine" I said and made quick work of the next book without much trouble just slight pains in my mind. "With that you will now be born in to your new life enjoy." "Thank you, D——-." I shouted out without thinking and faded out from where I sat.

"He remembered my name." The being began to cry. "No matter how many more millennia we will bring you back brother."
