-------------------------------------------------------------

The sea of flames spread all over the Shinto section in Fuyuki City.

Nothing escaped from the destruction.

Everything that was left is the ashes and death of the victims as the fire consumed them in pain and agony.

There is a child, a girl whose age was either 6 or 7 years old, who got unluckily caught in this chaos and wanders around to find an escape from the fire while glaring at the ugly-colored sky with her blue eyes which are filled with little stars, it resembles the night sky that was once free from light pollution.

'Why did this all happen? Are my mother and my father got caught in this fire with me as well?' The child can't remember anything, her thoughts are filled with questions about why this is happening.

But, it never leaves a second thought to give up her life.

Even if her memory got lost along with the image of her family, her own identity, or how she got into this place called hell.

Taking over by her instinct, a common instinct that every living being has, calling a will to live, even in a such life-threatening situation that the child is involved and has no clue why.

Her breath turned heavier when she breathed constantly the air that is mixed in chemicals and it will kill her slowly if she keeps this up. She never gives a second thought to collapsing here and now, even her feet started to feel some strain from walking.

It feels like an eternity for her when she saw no one, a positive emotion came over her as she finally saw someone like her.

A man who is walking in the place like her and carrying a boy in his clutches, she instantly knew that this boy was a victim like her in this hell they walked in.

"... Please, ... Help me..." Her voice wasn't in good condition. The man didn't hear her pleas and was too focused on that boy under his arms for keeping him safe, while her hand stretches out towards them despite knowing how far the distance was.

The man walked away, unaware of the second person who wants to be alive as well like the boy under his arms.

Why didn't she get the privilege to be saved as well?

Was this her fate? Was this the punishment that is giving to her when she committed, which she didn't remember?

'Am I not worth to be saved? Should I just die along like the rest!? I refuse this kind of fate!'

Her eyes are filled with tears with anger.

'I don't want to die here! Please! Please come back!' Words that came nothing out of her mouth when she wants to yell her heart out.

The man didn't turn his back on her, the distance was too far between them.

'Is this my fate?' The nameless child lamented. She claps her hands together, praying to whoever hears her. She wishes to live desperately.

If there is some kind of miracle that needs a price, then she will offer anything to live the life she deserves.

Her willpower has been reaching beyond this world and the time axis, due to a hidden power in her that she wasn't aware of as the criteria have been made. It reached a distant place that belonged to those who shifted humanity to what it is today.

The throne of heroes.

An entity has heard her prayers and decided to come to earth, like how an angel descended to earth ages ago for their lord's command.

Everything was too white for the child's eyes when a person appeared and stand in front of her, she tried to look at him but to her luck, the fire smokes and the heat damages her eyes and make them blind.

"Are you the one who answered me, Child?" He spoke with a soft voice to the pitiful child, while from the inside he was confused and angry to his king who he served in his time. The information he gained, didn't come from the corrupted grail as he sense that the inferno was part of its play.

He's disappointed. (Always has been to his deadbeat father but to his king? Honestly, he wasn't very close to her, and along with other knights of his round who didn't know what the king was truly thinking.)

Her wish is to erase herself from being a king because she wasn't worthy to rule Britain. The history they shared together was it all, but a fluke?

He wonders what did the Magus Flower even pour into her head? He shook his head which is filled in thoughts.

First things first, this child who summoned him in such critical a state was sure not to scoff off even though she didn't come from a Family who harness with their study about the mysteries of this world and beyond, he feels her magic circuits were forced to be open up for the first time to summon him.

It felt so warm, it's like her soul never gave up on life even though she was forced to die here.

This is really a miracle for her that she called the throne of heroes.

The child didn't give him an answer. Her vocal cord was damaged when she breathed the toxic air. But he can hear her thoughts from the invisible contract between them.

'I don't want to die here! I want to live!'

He realized that this child whose soul was filled with willpower and strength to not want to bow down to death just yet. The knight's morals didn't vanish as he was determined to fulfill her wish and he has an idea of how.

He still made his decision fast, "You want to live. This is your wish, isn't it? What I am going to do is something, a heroic spirit like me would rarely do for a human like you as it is a taboo of the world's will. So I ask you, are you willing to give up part of your humanity? There is no turning back." The knight told the temporarily blind child who weakly nodded her head with no hesitation.

The shield knight closed his eyes, "I see... If this is your resolve." Then he placed his forehead on her forehead for being connecting with this child.

"This will be painful for you, so please bear with it."

The little girl feels at ease when he puts his forehead against hers, it gives off a sense of safety that she cannot describe but somehow feels warm in her chest. Then the pain came over and cried out her voice as her body fell in such pain that she calls torture, while the white-haired boy keeps her tightly in his arms. To protect her from masses of fire that keep spreading around them.

It was a success, for her to become a demi-servant or a demi-human in his perspective because her human heart still remains inside of her.

The knight senses something, a unknown being comes towards where they standing. He quickly draws out his sword from his sheathe as an old man appeared out of nowhere, and the knight pointed his sword towards him in hostility and protects the girl behind him who is still in recovery from the process.

However, the old man just chuckled and eyed the child strangely, then he grinned as if he won the lottery.

The knight didn't know what this man was thinking but he has a bad feeling about this and instantly know he cannot escape from the crazy old man. "Hahaha, no need to be stiff around though as expected of your kind! A boring person who likes to play as if he is justice itself." The old man said.

He just blinked his eyes while the crazy man keeps laughing without a care of the world.

"What do you want from us?" The knight asked in demand, and with that the old man turned comically serious.

"All I want is to aid you with this child for no reason at all and with no price." The dead apostle bluntly said without emotion which raised an eyebrow at him.

"There is no such thing as 'no reason and with no price' from the likes of you. I would like to hear the real reason from your breath, bloodsucker." The Knight glared at him and he chuckled in defeat.

"As expected from the knight of the round table of King Arthur who was tasked to find the holy grail for his king, Galahad." The old man said casually his true name, Galahad had the sudden urge to bash him with his shield, but sadly he couldn't do it so because he'll slowly merge the nameless child's soul. "You can say that this oddball right here is a beacon of hope to an old friend of mine who likes to tinker in beyond human's reach and the reason why you are here with her. Let's just say, he was someone who didn't hesitate to be the enemy of our world system."

"Is that so?" It was the only thing that Galahad can say since he was a man who spoke in few words and sentences but understood the reason why he was summoned by this child.

"Well, I don't understand what's going on in his head. " The old man time told him. "Now then, since you're with her, virgin boy... Do you really have the intent to turn her into a demi-servant for the fourth time in a row? This is getting old."

Galahad twitches his eyebrows together when this old man called him 'virgin boy' in his face.

"The fourth time you said...? Then you are a Wizard who wields one of the second magic and of course, I want her to live because she is a child who has the right to live, since this was her wish."

The Wizard Marshall chuckled, "Why didn't I even ask for it? And before we are going, I fill her something useful for her new world." Then he gave her a spatial space bag which is filled in with books on magecraft and school books from beginners to experts, and so on.

To make sure, if she travels worlds on her own someday and the books he was giving to her will be helpful at least to know the basic.

"Then this is time to say goodbye here from now and make sure to grow strong enough to overcome whatever comes in your path."

The man pats her grey-colored hair gently.

'Where are we going? What's going happen to me?' The child asked anxiously and Galahad reassured her.

"Somewhere that you may call it home I assumed." He told her.

"Ah, one more thing." The dead apostle coldly smirked at him with a knowing look, "Don't you dare to abandon her from your stupid ideals. It's time to relearn everything that you considered to be "

Galahad looked tense as he said that to him while the child was very confused though she was very tired from the pain as she decided she wanted to sleep but before that...

'Who are you? What will you do to me?' Asked the nameless child cluelessly, the two men's blinked their eyes and the old man laughed heartedly at her.

"My! Pardon me for introducing myself, child of hope. My name is Kischur Zeltrech Schweinsorg, Zeltrech if you can call me when we meet once again in the far future. Sadly, time is not always on our side but we will see each other someday."

'You're weird.' The child thought bluntly that Galahad also agrees with her then she drowns herself in her dreams that are woven by love, hope, and beauty. Zeltrech took her in his arms when Galahad vanished into her consciousness and he rested alongside her while the Wizard Marshall secretly smiled himself.

'I hope your journey will be a wild ride unlike that boy, you started to hate him. It's fun to watch him but since you existed, things will be upside down in that world that I shouldn't meddle in the first place. But eh, who cares about that? After all, you are the treasure of a dear old friend of mine who needs some nourishment to become a heroine with a blank page.'
