Chapter 14: Bharat’s paternal relatives

They arrived at Rajgarh Metro City precisely on schedule at 8:00 p.m., and the passengers began disembarking from the train in a line. When Bharat and his family emerged onto the station platform, they discovered a relative was there to greet them.

In addition to being Bharat's uncle, Mr. Bhaskar was Mr. Brahma's biological brother and a high-ranking police officer.

Upon greeting them, Mr. Bhaskar stated: "Greetings My nephew, sister-in-law, and beloved brother since you haven't been here in almost ten years, I have truly missed you. Even though you spoke with our parents and us over the phone, there is a big difference between the two, and it feels to us like we have almost lost contact. When I last saw you, Bharat, you were just seven years old and quite small. You've grown a lot since then, and you also have nice muscles. Please let me know how everyone is doing these days, Brahma."

Mr. Brahma stated while wearing a serious face: "Right now, brother, nothing is good, and it seems like time is not on our side. We have been experiencing terrible things nonstop for the past few months, which has caused me to have a heart attack and numerous other health problems. We were also compelled to leave our ancestral house in Rajgarh Town and relocate to Rajgarh Metro City."

Mr. Bhaskar questioned, seeming surprised: "What happened, brother? Tell me, is there something bothering you that caused you to leave our ancestral home in that manner. No wait, I know you're all tired after the long train ride, so let's head home first and tell me everything that happened on the way."

The three-person family then traveled with Mr. Bhaskar, who had reserved a private vehicle for them. Although he has a police jeep as part of his job, he enjoys using his personal vehicle to travel when he is not on duty.

So, they got into Mr. Bhaskar's vehicle and drove to their new location, where they met up with the remaining family members at Mr. Bhaskar's shelter. Bharat was thrilled because he was going to see his grandparents because he had not seen them in such a long time that he had practically forgotten their faces.

Mr. Bhaskar, Mr. Brahma, and Mrs. Arundhati conversed amongst themselves while Bharat sat in the front seat next to the driver.

The breathtaking view of the city opened up when they were driving through the center of the city. Bharat had visited this place over ten years ago, the last time he was here was when he was just seven years old. The city's infrastructure had also seen significant development over the previous 10 years, with the addition of massive buildings from numerous multinational corporations, skyscrapers, the metro railway network, and bullet trains, among other developments.

Although Rajgarh Town was extremely isolated, Bharat was born and raised there, where all the contemporary conveniences were available. However when we compare it with Rajgarh Metro city the difference was immense in terms of infrastructure and buildings which is the most eye catching thing about a city apart from that Rajgarh Metro city was way ahead in all the departments of education, medical facilities, sports culture etc. hence for Bharat this was a very new experience.

Mr. Brahma recounted everything that had happened to them over the previous few months. Regarding how he stopped the illegal transaction carried out by the NGO, which turned out to be one of the criminal organizations headed by Tiger Bhai, who had threatened him and after he disregarded his warning, the criminal boss imposed restrictions on his family. After that, he was fired from his job and was unable to get employment at any other organization, making his life in Rajgarh Town a living hell and not just him, his son was turned down for college admission despite having excellent academic standing. He had a heart attack as a result, so in front of his brother, he let all of his grievances out.

When they reached home Bharat met with his Grandparents as they were so delighted to see him after such a long time and hugged him.

When he was a kid around five years of age most of the time he used to spend with his Grandparents as his Grandfather used to tell him stories about aliens, demons, princes and all kinds of magical beasts so he was very fond of them.

Additionally, he met his maternal aunt Mrs. Malvi and his maternal sister Priya, who was just a year younger than him. Despite the fact that they merely stood there as a formality and never smiled or said hello, Bharat did not seem to mind since it was his first time seeing his extended family in a long time.

It was only via Mr. Brahma's connections and assistance that Mr. Bhaskar, Brahma's elder biological brother, was able to secure a job as a police officer earlier. Additionally, Mr. Brahma purchased the home in which they were living with their parents and had it registered in Mr. Bhaskar's name as a present, enabling him to reside in Rajgarh Metro City and take care of his parents for a higher quality of life. Because of his deep regard for Mr. Brahma and his family Mr. Bhaskar wanted them to stay together.
