Chapter 12: Faceoff with the Gang members

At this time, a black Scorpio car approached from the front and got stuck in such a way that it blocked the path of the car carrying Bharat and his family. The cab driver had to quickly apply the brakes to prevent colliding with the vehicle. Eight persons emerged from the Scorpio with chains, rods, hockey sticks, and other weapons as soon as the vehicle came to a stop. Those guys had huge, protruding biceps and brawn, and they were wearing masks.

As he appeared to be the gang leader, one of the men approached and motioned for Mr. Brahma to step out. Mr. Brahma boldly exited the car, realizing they were trapped and would not be able to leave at this point. He then asked: "What happened? Who are you guys and why did you park your vehicle in front of the cab so abruptly there could have been an accident."

The man said: "You should worry about yourself first Mr. Brahma since you have dared to say no to Tiger Bhai". 

Bharat also tried to get out of the car however Arundhati felt scared and stopped him and said: "Don't try to get out of the car and sit here quietly let Dad do the talking."

Bharat said: "Mom let me get out since dad is still sick and I will not talk, I will just stand by his side."

Saying this Bharat also got out of the car and stood beside his Dad.

The man said: "You cannot leave town without Tiger Bhai's permission."

Mr. Brahma said: "Tiger Bhai is the reason behind all of this, so why are you obstructing our path now? After all, I was fired from my job and my son was turned down for college admission despite being a straight A student at all. He has also blocked all of my options for earning money because no one in this town will hire me anymore, so we will have to leave to find employment in other cities. So I will go out of town since this is a free country and you people do not have any rights to stop my movement."

The man got angry therefore he decided to teach Mr. Brahma a lesson for his insolent speech so he started to punch Mr. Brahma and Bharat was just standing beside his Dad as he was already very annoyed as to why this man was talking so disrespectfully to his Dad.

At that moment something changed and Bharat felt as though his senses of observation had been sharpened, enabling him to perceive the man's intention and even the smallest movements and the man was about to strike his father in the heat of the moment as he was raising his fist to strike Mr. Brahma. With superhuman speed, Bharat advanced and blocked the blow with an outward flick of his right hand before striking the opponent in the face directly with his left hand. The man fell down on his back and felt like a truck had clashed with him along with that he experienced immense pain and then five of his teeth came out and the nose started to bleed and Bharat snatched the metal stick from him.

Since they knew they were just three regular citizens up against the gang members of the crime lord, Arundhati and Brahma were taken aback by Bharat's sudden action and yelled at him to return. However, since the deed had already been carried out, they were powerless to stop the inevitable from happening.

The gang members behind the leader were taken aback by this abrupt move because they did not anticipate any resistance from a sick man and his son. However, upon witnessing their boss being attacked, all seven men became aware of the situation and launched their own attack on Bharat at the same time. Despite this, Bharat did not exhibit any signs of fear, as he appeared to have some confidence in himself and ready to face the men on his own.

As all those men were sprinting in his direction to attack him he felt like he could perceive their actions at exactly what they were trying to do or where exactly they were trying to aim beforehand so Bharat very easily dodged the vertical swing of the hockey stick of the first man who came at him and shoved the metal stick at the man's balls with full force and the man sat down holding his balls then the second man came at him with a metallic chain however he blocked it with the metal rod and thrust it to pierce the eye of the man next he strikes the third man on his head with full force and the man was caught unawares since he wasn't expecting it then Bharat nicked the fourth man on his groin subsequently hooked at the fifth man then the next man was actually taking out his revolver to use however before he did Bharat already attacked at his hands with the metallic rod as if Bharat already knew what the man will do ahead of his time with his heightened perceptive ability and before they knew it all the gang members were on their back groaning in pain in just less than one minute.

When Brahma and Arundhati saw their son defeat the gang members with such precise, lightning-fast techniques, they were both taken aback. It seemed as though Bharat was a skilled fighter who was using his own fighting technique.

However at that point of time the police siren could be heard from far ahead so all of the gang members got up hurriedly and escaped on their Scorpio since none of them wanted to get caught in police matters.

Next the police came and saw that Mr. Brahma's cab was parked in the middle of the road also they noticed the Scorpio car's escape so the police car stopped and interrogated Mr. Brahma.

Police officer asked: "Mr. Brahma, did something happen here? I saw the Scorpio car and recognized it as the crime lord's gang members so if something is bothering you then tell me I will definitely help you I am an honest police officer and already know about your loyalty since I am also a local here in Rajgarh Town and I also know about how the crime lord is bullying you so whatever is in my capability I will try my best to help you with."

Mr. Brahma thought in his mind "No I cannot reveal about the attack just now to this police officer since I do not know him and he may be corrupt also I have a train to catch right now so I should not get involved in this police matter."

Mr. Brahma said: "No Officer, nothing is bothering us. We were just going to the train station and had to stop due to some malfunction on the cab which is fixed now."

Police officer said: "Mr. Brahma, I had the pleasure of speaking with you once in the past as a police officer since I knew you from when you worked as a regulatory officer at International Premier Bank (IPB). And I know how honest and innocent you are however you may not remember me but I do remember you clearly and I also know about the fight which is happening between you and the crime lord so if something is bothering you and you want police assistance or want to launch an FIR against Tiger Bhai then we will help you on this."

Mr. Brahma confirmed: "No officer, all is fine here at the moment and nothing is bothering us officer also we have to catch the train since we are going out of station so if you excuse me officer we will depart now."

Then Mr. Brahma departed the scene with his family in the cab.

On the way to the station Mrs. Arundhati wondered and asked Bharat: "Son, have you been indulging with some kind of unpleasant people and getting into a lot of fights?"

Bharat said: "No mom, you already know my friends, they are very good and kind people also I am very introverted as you know and do not like to mix with people."

Mr. Brahma said: "The way you fought those men it seemed like you were an expert so tell me truthfully if you are learning any kind of martial arts lately if so then I will ask you not to engage yourselves into all that because you still have got your career ahead and I do not want you to have a criminal record due to which you will have problems getting into jobs in the future."

Arundhati also wondered: "Yes son, since when you were so good at fighting how were you able to fight with all those men all by yourself."

Bharat said: "Mom I do not know what came into me. After they threatened Dad I just lost my temper and punched the man. However when all of them came over me all together I felt like I could predict their moves exactly where and how they were going to attack so I dodged and in defense attacked them with the metal rod."

Mr. Brahma did not think much about it and warned: "Son this was an exception which happened and you were lucky that nothing happened to you. I do not know how you learned that kind of martial art in spite of never having a fight before, however i will warn you never try to indulge in a fight like this in the future or you may get into a situation wherein you will not be able to save yourself."

Bharat agreed with his parents as they were very tensed and concerned about their son's career due to the current circumstances.

Bharat also wondered about himself "What was that incredible and powerful feeling back then it felt as if I could predict all the moves of those men and also I do not feel any exhaustion after the fight as if it was nothing for me. I wonder if this has happened in the heat of the moment or if this was something else."
