10 Fight again. Coward's ingenious Plan

With my and Max's help, Alice and Lucy accepted the Survival Quest and choose their respective weapon and skills.

Alice chose the Staff for a weapon and Heal for the skill. Of course, I advised her after analyzing her stats and what she could do. I asked even herself if she could fight which I got a negative response. So I made her a healer.

As for the cute Lucy, I told her to pick the Fireball and staff as her option. Given her high MP, she was most suited to be a mage. Thankfully, the system was considerate, so her staff was suited to her size. Ah, she looks like a cute Loli from those animes. Ahem. I need to keep calm.

"So you will be the tank and protect them," I instructed Max. Since he already chose the shield for both options. He needs to stick with them until he escapes to a safe zone. Maybe then he can change his style. I also gave him a goblin's dagger as I could get myself a new one soon.

Then me and Max taught them how to use their skills and staff. Thankfully they learned it fast. Because my time was limited.

"You should close that hole with your shield. And I will be taking the key with me." I told them as I prepared to continue my quest. I told them I would clear the underfloor myself. They offered help but I refused as they could harm themselves. "And you can try to learn skills in the meantime. Well, then I will be back in a while."

I opened the lock and peered through the door. Thankfully there was nothing in the hall. Then I looked at Lucy.

"T-there are many scary voices on that side..." She pointed out to the end of the hallway where the basement was located. I think I know where the rat nest is now.

"Thanks. Be safe." Then I locked their door from the outside.

I arrived at the third door. I activated the Stealth and slowly entered the fourth room. The light flickered on and off. Then I saw two short green figures - trainee goblins. One was holding a cub, the other is a dagger. I already knew they were here. Because the map started to show them after I discovered them, it also applied to Lucy's family. I could check them with the map now.

Hiding my breath, I stealthily approached the two monsters, and with a swift backtab, I killed the one near me.

"Gah?!" The other one alarmed looked around. It saw a shadow approaching him as the light flickered. It was frightened to death. It lunged toward the shadow, which was me.

"Take this. Fireball!" I threw a fireball at the goblin's face. It groaned in pain and stumbled backward as it lost balance. I sliced its throat using the chance and half decapacitated it.

After making sure they were dead, I looked at the notifications.

And the fight went well too. I'm becoming more accustomed to fighting now. Well, I can't become a pro in just two hours, can I? I'm not the Number 1 ranker or a Main Character from animes or novels.

Well, now, I have to exterminate the rats. But for that, I need to think of an efficient plan. A plan with no risk of me being injured or dying. Well, I already have two. Impressive isn't it? Well, that comes from an experience.

Oh! I got a brilliant idea! Why don't I combine both plans and create the perfect plan?

More than thirty goblins were walking around them. There were also many dead bodies of people. It was probably the work of the goblins. A horrible smell also enveloped the area.

Ticket Room.

There were four people hiding inside the room.

One was the ticket lady, two were probably ordinary people and a guard.

"I hope they escaped safely." The guard thought as a worried expression appeared on his face. "But these three will expose us sooner or later. Dammit."

His concern wasn't without proof.

"Hick! Hick!" The other two people were a couple. The woman was sobbing in fear. The Ticket lady was the same. After all, they saw a horrible scene with their own eyes. Many people were killed in front of them.

"The man is in fear too..." The guard thought as he noticed the man's hands and legs trembling.

"P-please someone saves us..." The girlfriend of the man muttered as she hugged her boyfriend tightly. "H-honey... Are we going to die...?"

"N-no... "The man replied. "I-I don't know."

Guard decided to help them a little. "I am sure the government is already on the move. We will be safe, milady. But please just don't speak. All three of you."

The Ticket Lady looked at the Guard and smile. "Thanks, brother Jack."

The guard, Jack simply nodded and gestured for them to shut up.

"I hope nothing will happen." The guard thought. He checked the internet just now. It was filled with countless news. Many big cities were destroyed as unnatural phenomena were happening across the planet. Thankfully the internet was working. He at least understood what was going on.

He browsed through the news and found the Survival Quest. Then he accepted the quest himself finally getting what the window in front of him was.

As a sword appeared on his hands, the other three were surprised. "Shush." He reminded them not to make any voice.

"I will explain some things-"

"Heeey! You dumb, stupid, scary, disgusting Gooobliiiiiins!"

Suddenly they heard a loud voice. Their expression went pale. Who was this idiot? They all had the same question.

"Cooome! You idiots!"

Then they heard the voices of running footsteps. The goblins probably went in that direction.

They sighed in relief. While imagining what would happen to that idiot.

"Wait!" Thought the guard. "Isn't that where they went? The underfloor? Oh, you idiot!"
