Nen, Part 3

This time, Cillian felt that, since Wing was more prepared, the overall initiation process went much smoother. He couldn't help but look forward to Mereoleona's future power as well.

A few moments later, similar to Zoro's situation, Mereoleona could, almost immediately, control all the nen that she had subconsciously released on a fundamental level.

After consolidating her current state and the Ten around her skin, Mereoleona released her mana and nen at the same time, creating a fiery pressure suppressing all those in the room. If any regular human were present, they would feel as if everything was burning, even the air in their lungs would be aflame.

A few seconds after the release of her nen and mana, Mereoleona had found a way to effectively combine both these separate powers, in the process of synthesising her new and improved mana, a lion's head and mane, that no ordinary person would be able to even sense, manifested behind Mereoleona and roared a majestic and primal tune.

'This increase in power has surely helped Mereoleona progress by leaps and bounds. From the looks of it, it seems as if her nen was distributed between her mana and body, strengthening both. Although she's still not at the level she was at the start of the cannon events, Mereoleona's training speed is definitely going to be significantly faster.'

'On a separate note, the unorthodox group chat's naming sense sure is accurate, both their nicknames were manifested during the show of their new abilities...'

'Great Sage, do you know what'll happen when I awaken?'

'Thanks, Great Sage. No use worrying about it now.'

Seeing that Mereoleona's awakening had clearly finished successfully, Cillian asked:

"Congratulations Mereoleona. Only one more person to go, Wing. Do you want to take a break?"

With a wide but cheeky grin, Mereoleona replied:

"Thanks, Cillian."

Wing then said:

"No need, I feel like I'm on a roll. It's best to just be done with this so we can go through the basics of nen later on, all together."

Cillian then replied:

"If you insist, let's start right away then."

Having just said that, Cillian took off his medieval upper-body's garments, consisting of, a simple-looking necklace, a cotton white t-shirt and a light blue jacket he had bought with his 50th Floor prize money.

Completely exposing his upper body, everyone present couldn't help but marvel at his perfect-looking, but scar-ridden, body. It seemed as if Cillian's body was flawless. Each of his muscles were defined by sharp contours, his back, wide, his chest, full, his waist, narrow and even his arms were big and perfectly simetrical, showing no signs of favouring one side over the other. It was truly the Gods' warrior's physique.

Snapping out of his daze, Wing placed both his hands on Cillian's back and slowly brought his nen into Cillian's body, gently circulating it. Just as Wing had thought, Cillian didn't have any aura nodes either. Having predicted this would happen, Wing instead focused on what made Cillian unique, such as Zoro's sword-tutored body, or Mereoleona's mysterious energy.

Having circulated his nen in Cillian's body multiple times already, Wing couldn't find any unique feature, it was as if everything was... perfect. Seemingly having an enlightenment, Wing focused his nen, not on one aspect, but everything, akin to Zoro's initiation, but distinct at the same time.

Once Wing had found the way to go, he started by evenly distributing his nen all over Cillian's body. Strangely enough, two thirds of his nen had been unknowingly transferred elsewhere. Upon closer analysis, Wing discovered a part of his nen in Cillian's brain, what he didn't know, was that, that "part" was a fraction of the third that went into Cillian's mind. The last third of Wing's nen, went directly into Cillian's soul, strengthening it and giving it the ability to manipulate the properties of nen.

Instinctively feeling that he had provided sufficient nen, Wing stopped circulating his nen and took his hands off Cillian's back, laying down, exhausted from doing three back to back unique initiations.

Cillian, on the other hand, was having a profound mental conversation with Great Sage regarding his awakening.

'Great Sage, what happened? What's new?'

[With the superficial knowledge of these abilities from master's memories, and the powers master's gained through the entity "Unorthodox Group Chat", it's been inferred that:

All aspects of master's being: body, soul and mind, have been evenly "baptised" by nen.

Master's body has received the ability to manipulate life force, in other words, has awakened. Master's mind has been nourished, being able to process the world around him even slower if necessary, such as during battle. Finally, master's soul has been reinforced, strengthening all "spirit" and soul related abilities, such as Observation Haki.]

'It seems like I've reached a whole 'nother level.'

(A/N: Heyy~, Temporal_Daoist here😁!! Anyway, I've been, for the last few chapters, trying to come up with a quantifiable method of ranking nen mastery/strength (It's been really complicated, for example: Meruem is stronger and has more nen than Isaac, but Isaac has better nen mastery, so how do they rank?) So, I've decided to adopt the hunter association's system and further expand on it. But, since it's not completely accurate, it's going to be slightly different from cannon. For example, the Zodiacs are between 3-4 Star, both old Issac and Meruem are 4 Star, Killua by the end of the anime is 1-2 Star, and so on. After thinking a little, I've come to the conclusion that the difference between old Isaac and Meruem was more on the physical/biological side, not on the nen aspect. This new parameter is only for nen.)

'Fantastic, with my overall power now being peak level three, I'm sure I can contend with peak level 4 or even retired level 5 adventurers! My observation haki has also broken through! It's a shame neither my cursed technique or my basic body refining scripture have received a boost, but at least I've unlocked another stat.'

Satisfied with his improvement, Cillian did the same as his group chat members and released...
