-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following day, Mereoleona and Cillian, having learnt from last evening, accompanied Zoro until they got to Heaven's Arena. On the way to the hotel, in the reception hall, in the hotel room, during breakfast, and Cillian, on behest of Mereoleona, even accompanied Zoro to the bathroom.

"Arrghhhh... You both've been following me everywhere just 'cuz I arrived a 'lil late yesterday!! I've already told you I was looking for you as well! It's just a straight line 'till the Arena, leave me alone 'till there at least!!!"

"..."

'Maybe just this once...'

'There's no way someone this strong would get lost again right?'

'On second thought...'x2

"Absolutely not!!"x2

Seemingly mentally affected by the simultaneous double rejection, Zoro backed off and went along with the group to Heaven's Arena.

Once at location, while the trio patiently waited in line for their turn to register, small scuffles were occurring on a regular basis along the lines to the receptionists. Unsurprisingly, upon seeing the group's getup, everyone maintained their distance.

After all, most people who were causing problems, only did so for some quick cash, seeing the very real swords on Zoro's waist and the aura each group chat member emitted, all the low-level crooks left the trio alone.

...

15 minutes later:

"Good morning, how may I help you?"

"Good morning, we'd like to register as fighters please."

"Sure, can you give me some names?"

"I'm Cillian, the one to my right is Mereoleona and the on to my left is Lostoro."

"What the hell are you talking about, Cill-?!"

Before Zoro could finish, Mereoleona, immediately perceiving what Cillian intended to do, swiftly covered Zoro's mouth with her hands, terminating any attempts to rectify what had been said.

"Please ignore my friend. He's been out on the high seas for a very long time, and I'm afraid it may have affected him... mentally. I hope the Arena's fights can perhaps reignite his 'lost' spirit," Cillian said in a lamenting tone, while pointing towards his forehead.

"You M@th$erF-" Acting even quicker than before, this time, Mereoleona rear-naked-chocked Zoro.

"As you can see, it's truly sad..."

Fully convinced by Cillian's acting, the young receptionist bawled her eyes out:

"I hope he can find himself in the Arena! Best of luck 'Lostoro'!! Just don't forget you can't use any real weapons, including your swords, until the 200th Floor."

Quickly finishing their registration, the trio went towards the stands while awaiting for their attributed numbers to be called out.

...

A few minutes in, a calmed down Zoro commented:

"Are you sure this is the place? Most people here are barely stronger than the average navy soldier."

"I'm sure, although it's like this on the 1st Floor, there are some people on the 200th Floor who could contend with you and some of the Floor Masters could even beat you."

Slowly releasing his aura, Zoro asked:

"Can you take responsibility for that?"

Not interested in engaging in a dispute with Zoro at the moment, Cillian replied:

"Keep in mind, though, that I'm talking about the current you, not when you learn nen. On the same note, we should start searching for someone to teach us."

Ignoring the latter half of Cillian's statement, Zoro asked:

"Does knowing how to use this so-called 'nen' really make such a difference?"

"I'm not sure you understand Zoro, nen has no limits. If someone had enough nen, they could even grant wishes, nen can even be represented and improved by feelings and emotions such as love, hate or even gratitude. Although you don't have any information on it, let me give you a little sneak-peak: In terms of overall potential, nen is superior to haki, haki being your world's main power system."

"Haki?! Are you certain about that? I've only seen it mentioned in the swords master's journal I received."

"You don't have to believe me, you'll know eventually if what I'm saying is true or not. Just know that all powerful people in your world have acquired and mastered haki. Obviously, this includes Dracule 'Hawk Eyes' Mihawk as well."

While Zoro was extremely shocked, Mereoleona, who had initially shared the same thoughts as Zoro and had been secretly paying attention to their conversation, was lost in deep thought as well:

'If Cillian's right about this, maybe he's also right about Acier... No worries, I can't do anything about it now anyway. If this 'nen' thing is as miraculous as Cillian said, I'm confident I can save Acier with it as well.'

Suddenly, the microphone rang:

"Fighter number 103, fighter number 103, please report to Arena 47 for your next match."

"I repeat, fighter number 103, please report to Arena 47 for your next match."

Immediately after, two other announcements came out:

"Fighter number 104, fighter number 104, please report to Arena 98 for your next match."

"I repeat, fighter number 104, please report to Arena 98 for your next match."

"Fighter number 105, fighter number 105, please report to Arena 99 for your next match."

"I repeat, fighter number 105, please report to Arena 99 for your next match."

As the other two announcements finished, Cillian said:

"Seems like I'll see you both on the next Floor."

"Yeah... let's go moss-head! You're lucky you missed my Arena number by one!"

"HUH?! What are you screaming about you crazy woman?! I guess your luck has gotten into your head!"

"What did you say?!"x2

...

On Arena 47:

Slowly, both fighters took steady strides, meeting in the middle, one, a young white-haired man, the other, a seemingly mundane middle-aged man. Seeing that both fighters were not the talking types, the referee instantly commenced the countdown:

"3...2...1...Fight!"

Same as last chapter, this one was mostly written in order to set up future character growth and give a little info dump as well. Next chapter will be more action-based.

Hope you all enjoyed the chapter
