Chapter # 31

"Are you falling for him?" Mother's question shocked me. My heart began to race. I could feel my cheek shading with a crimson. Unwanted sensation rushed in me which I ignored.

"Mum.. What are you talking about.?" I couldn't believe it.

"Look, Love. Me and your father were also forced into an arranged marriage but we end up falling for each other don't we?" She told me about a tale which happened in an arranged marriage, not a forced one. I told her already, If it was one, I would have given him a chance if he hadn’t forced himself upon me.

"Mum...it's different, you guys had an arranged marriage not a forced one; on gunpoint, not to mention. I... we... are different. This is complicated between us." I sighed, telling her why we could never be together.

"It's alright love, give him and yourself time. He is your husband now. He is trying, at least he apologized for me and tried to assure me would take good care of you so many times now."

“He did?” I asked in disbelief.
