Black Heaven Ⅰ

"Now, get into posture," Seljin ordered Zeth in a stern manner.

Zeth obeyed Seljin immediately and got into posture.

"Severe all your connections with the world that you know of and try to sense Gin," Seljin guided Zeth.

Focusing only on Gin, Zeth felt as though he couldn't sense the physical world anymore.

Zeth thought, 'This feeling, it's weird. I can't feel a thing; all my senses have been dulled. Wait, there's something...'

Zeth's senses were now cut off from the physical world, allowing him to tap into the world of cultivation. He could sense lots of starlight-like dots everywhere surrounding him; these dots were orange.

Zeth quickly put all his thoughts away and started focusing on this energy that he was feeling.

Suddenly, as if this energy had sensed that something was trying to absorb it, they quickly moved over to Zeth.

An insane amount of this energy swarmed around Zeth's body.

Surprised by what was happening, Zeth remembered Seljin's words, "Imagine invisible pathways in your body which will guide the Gin that your body has absorbed next to your core."

All of Zeth's focus now drifted into his body as if he had entered it.

Zeth started following Seljin's guidance; he started imagining vein-like pathways that guided the Gin next to the core of his body.

The core was a translucent sphere exactly in the middle of his body.

The Gin that had just entered Zeth's body was now everywhere around the core.

Remembering Seljin explaining the next step, "After that comes the hard part of forming orbitals, but it's also a very dangerous process. One wrong step, and your core will be broken, leading to you being paralyzed for the rest of your life." Zeth's focus was at an extreme level now.

"Control the Gin and compress it into one singular sphere."

Zeth then controlled all the Gin around his core and made sure that nothing hit the core.

After compressing all the Gin together into a sphere, controlling it was hard; sweat could be seen on Zeth's face from the outside world, but nonetheless, his focus hadn't decreased, and he exerted all his efforts to control the sphere.

"Now imagine a path around your core that this sphere follows, and then release your control over it; let it flow in that path, and now you have an orbital." This was the last step that Seljin had taught Zeth.

With that, Zeth started imagining an orbital path for the sphere.

After that, Zeth released the sphere, which moved at a speed that couldn't be traced with the naked eye.

Fortunately for Zeth, the sphere of Gin followed the path that was designed for it.

Just as Zeth was about to stop focusing on his body, he felt another type of purple Gin in his body.

Zeth thought, 'This is... It's the Gin that I've been controlling for the past six years.'

'Unlike the Gin I had just absorbed, this one seems stable, as if it's a part of my body.'

Zeth suppressed the urge to form an orbital right away with this Gin; he thought, 'I can't form an orbital right away. I don't know if that guy outside could sense it and if he has any alternative motives. Let's just suppress it for now in my body.'

With that, Zeth's consciousness returned to the physical world. He opened his eyes only to find a black substance covering his entire body.

He exclaimed, "What is this?"

Suddenly, he puked more of that black substance.

Zeth was confused about what was happening.

Seljin, standing next to the falcon, seemed to be petting it.

He saw Zeth waking up and said, "How does it feel to have all the impurities wiped out from your body?"

Still in a daze, Zeth found out that he felt that his body had grown lighter.

He then stood up and thought, 'I can feel it; my body has grown stronger.'

Zeth looked into the sky and found out that it was already night time; right now, it seemed that he had spent a long time forming the Orbital.

He then smelled something disgusting coming from him; it was the impurities that came out of him.

Zeth looked at a waterfall nearby coming out of the mountain and thought, 'I should go take a shower.'

After taking a shower, Zeth could see Seljin sitting down in the dark night.

If it were the old Zeth, he wouldn't be able to see clearly in this darkness, but due to the enhancement resulting from forming the first orbital, he could see, and not just that, the coldness of the night didn't affect him.

Zeth went to sit next to Seljin.

Seljin asked, "So, what's your primary element?"

Zeth opened his hands, and a ball of fire formed between his palms.

Seljin nodded, acknowledging the fact that Zeth was capable of forming fire on his own without any guidance.

Zeth continued sitting while staring at Seljin.

Seljin talked, "What is it?"

"I was wondering, sir, why did you choose me as a slave and teach me all that?" Zeth asked.

Seljin closed his eyes for a moment and said, "It's because of your eyes."

"My eyes?" Zeth was confused.

"I can tell from looking at your eyes that you are suitable to learn my art."

"The art of alchemy." Seljin continued

"It's some knowledge I picked up in my youth. Just by looking at someone's face, I can tell many things, like the fact that there's a goal you want to achieve... Vengeance."

Zeth was completely shocked by Seljin's words. Inwardly, he thought, 'Back on Earth, I've heard about a similar thing before, people being capable of face reading. It was called physiognomy.'

"Enough talking. Now we have a long day tomorrow. Go get some sleep," said Seljin, standing up and going to sleep next to the falcon.

Zeth thought, 'Today was a long day. I've done so much and learned what I wanted. I am one step closer towards my goal.'

The following day,

Zeth and Seljin could be seen traveling at a high speed on the falcon.

Zeth no longer needed Seljin to protect him from the high speed of the falcon. Zeth had already mastered doing so on his own by using his Gin as a shield.

Seljin was clearly satisfied by Zeth's learning speed.

"Where are we going, master?" Zeth asked, referring to Seljin as his master, which showed how much Zeth respected and acknowledged him.

Seljin answered, "We're going to the Black Heaven Fortress."

"What?" Zeth was clearly shocked by this.

Seljin didn't bother replying.

Black Heaven is a powerful force. They were originally a group of people who held grudges against the leading powers. However, they had gathered together and managed to take over a fortress. Initially, everyone thought of them as nothing but a bunch of madmen who could get wiped out anytime.

But this force had managed to assert their dominance by assassinating multiple world leaders and terrorizing multiple kingdoms.

Gradually, over time, they managed to take away land from the Macian Kingdom.

Black Heaven was more of a cult than an organization. They worshipped their leader, the Incarnation of Death, Nais.

This was all information Zeth had heard back in Arakish City.

'Crap, is this guy one of those madmen?'
