Alita didn't get an answer from Arien, but she saw that the movement of the threads entangling her was getting faster as if to prevent her from starting a fire.
"I thought the fire was your weakness," said Alita, half dragging her body towards the dry leaves that had piled up and scraped the stone.
Fire splattered, lit up on the leaves, and spread quickly. There was a scream of anger from Arien, and red threads moved around Alita's body, wrapping her into a mummy.
Alita's sword and dagger were thrown, but she couldn't move. Arien turned back. He was on top of Alita.
"I almost had a heart attack." Arien chuckled softly, Alita's face was covered with thread and nothing could be seen. "Fire is indeed my weakness, but I can't just give up because of this, can I?"
The fire lit by Alita spreads to burn the giant grass. The smoke rises above the dark sky and makes the temperature around it feels very hot.
