Chapter1 I'm Yang Bai

Mount evergreen lay in the boundary of primordial mountain range, and a small village situated at its base. The village there lived far from land and villagers rarely contact outside world.

Currently it was early morning, and some villagers were sleeping, some were getting ready for hunt, a muscular middle age man carrying spear walk towards the gate followed by four strong men. Suddenly he stopped at village gate and shouted, shock written at its face. Hearing its shout villagers quickly congregated at the see a few months old baby wrapped in red cloth beside the gate. He is currently trying to get out of cloths, thin and frail looking women picks up the boy the crowd gather around the women to see the boy. He had healthy, fair complexion, chubby cheeks, and gem like eyes which is filled with curiosity. He was wrapped around red cloth and had key shaped pendent. An aged man walked out of the crowd, he was village chief.

"Dear Elders and fellow villagers" he said, "we don't know who has abandoned this boy but we will raise it" the village chief had pained expression on his face when thought of the boy whose parents had abandoned him. The surrounding villagers exchanged glances, and agreed with village chief.

TEN YEARS LATER

"MY garden is on fire, my garden is on fire, someone stops this" miss ronxi clutch her hurt as she saw her garden burning. She was growing a certain twin petal flowers which are great help in warding evil spirits."YANG BAI, you weasel, I will not leave you" she know there is only one boy who dare to burn her garden.

Villagers started putting fire and someone said " who would known such pure and charming kid we adopted turned into weasel, miss ronxi garden has burden three times already. He also left my sheep on the cliff to see if it can fly, if things kept going on like this he will turn whole village upside down" He has pained expression on his face.

In the forest far away from village a young boy was running, he look young and wear a ordinary robe and has holding a bag in his left hand and a axe on his right hand. "Grandma Ronxi told me twin petal flower can ward off evil spirit but she doesn't know it can help me to go down Red Cliff. I just asked few and she was not giving me" said while pouting.

First time he went to Miss Ronxi garden to eat green peas while trying to discard left over he has no choice but to burn it and who know whole catches fire because of it. But this time he took extra care trying not to touch anything but while he was leaving garden with twin petal flowers who knows its branches itself catches fire. Twin petal flower is yang type flower and it does require certain way to pluck it but he doesn't know.

Three years ago during his first hunting experience, he suddenly got lost and after roaming hours he came to red cliff. He always wonder why this place called red cliff, now he knows r as he can see there was red mist covering the whole crevices and some touch of the mist can dissolve body and soul. His whole body was trembling and was sacred silly just by looking down the cliff it's like a beast wanted to devour.

He wanted to run as fast as he could and as he got ready to leave, the key on his necklace started trembling but he did not wanted to know the reason he just wanted to run. After running few hours he met with his fellow villagers. Months went by and despite being fearful of Red Cliff; his curiosity took over his body. Yang Bai born curious he wanted to unravel everything, he wanted to know about every plant, every animal and to roam whole world. Due to his curiosity villagers suffered numerous times.

Yang Bai born with perfect memory, after numerous failures and being chased by villagers and low level demonic beasts, he finally remembers the path leading to the Red Cliff. He stood at the edge of the area of red mist, red mist rose up its spread quite distance and dissolve in the air. He knows it's very dangerous to touch red mist, in the past numerous villagers had died because of it and village chief grandpa warned to never come to this place.

He stood there nervously, "how can I unravel every secret of the world if I get sacred of this puny mist, humph I will see what u are made up". He slowly raised his right leg and was about to put down inside the red mist and close his eyes. Few minutes passed nothing happened, please with himself he slowly open his eyes and nearly pees in his pants. The key in his neck was extruding green light and cover his whole body and the harmless looking red mist attacking the shield, it's like red mist has gotten alive wanted to quickly devour the shield.

He scolded himself for being cowardly, was about to put the other leg in the mist to go deeper then he notice, the bag in his left hand shrinking fast, it contain lots of peas. Key was slowly absorbing the peas and after few minutes it started flickering. Yang Bai slowly backed away from the mist and started running towards the village. Now he knows how go inside the red mist, next time he will bring lot more peas.

Present time

Mount evergreen and its ranges situated on the perimeter of primordial forest and a giant rift is separating its outer and inner portion. The whole forest stretches far and wide, numerous demonic beasts roam in this forest and it's extremely dangerous to transverse the forest alone. Mount evergreen was not a very tall mountain but it was near the Red Cliff. Red Cliff is one the branches that connect outer perimeter of the forest with the giant rift. Giant rift itself has many web cracks stretching throughout the forest, some were small, and some stretch far and wide. Compare to giant rift the red mist inside its branches were faint.

"miss Ronxi told me that he was growing twin petal flowers and it's great for warding spirit, I wonder how much deeper it can help me…" Yang Baipreceded along, heart thumping. Suddenly, a rustling sound could be heard from nearby tree. It almost sound like multiple wild growl and it immediately caused Yang Bai to grow extremely nervous. The hair on his neck stood straight. He recognize the sound it was triple head lion

He quickly held his breath and started running towards Pino valley. Pino valley is maze like tunnels that open up towards the Red Cliff and its very complex tunnels that make it difficult for anyone to travel but Yang Bai has already memorized whole correct path.

Triple head lions has strong smell so Yang Bai knew only way to survive is to head towards red mist, no living being dared to enter it. Yang Bai running for his life, and he hears a loud roar. "Don't come" he shouted trembling, "don't even think of catching me" he shouted and finally he enters the Pino valley path. He keep running inside, simultaneously trying to change paths, feint roars can be heard as lion keep getting closer, valley has few narrow tunnels that could stop that lion but eventually he passed that.

After hours of running inside complex maze, Yang Bai finally emerge out of the tunnel but his face was pale and his whole body was shaking, he was being tailed very closely. This time he is in grave danger, without pausing a bit he speed towards the Red Cliff, while he was just few meter from Red Cliff he heard extremely angry roar from behind and he look back. Triple head lion was standing there and angrily staring at him, its left head was damage as its get smashed by hard surface, a red rim is forming inside its eyes. Yang Bai finally understood this animal was being transformed into demonic beast. When a spirit animal transformed into demonic best, losesit's intelligent and leaves its territory. Lion started running towards yang Bai.

Yang Bai get inside the red mist, a green halo was formed around him which protecting him.

All those years Yang Bai has gone hundred meters inside the red mist, red mist spread one mile away from cliff edge. With the accompany of roar Yang Bai speed up, he was getting closer and closer to the edge but roar can still be heard. With the pain and madness during transformation lion will not hesitate to enter inside mist. When yang Bai reached at very edge on the cliff red mist has gotten stronger, when he look behind, his heart skip a bit just a few meter way from him multiple eyes was staring at him, lion body was slowly getting corroded and bones has exposed in some parts.

At this moment Yang Bai look at the lion and then downwards, he hesitated there was slim chance in surviving inside the crevices but lion will definitely kill him. So after strengthening its determination yang Bai jump downwards, halfway through the crevices green shield started flickering and at the bottom after shielding him form falling it faded away. And Yang Bai get assaulted by great pain, it feel like getting bitten by millions upon millions of ants and it was so painful yang Bai loose his consciousness.

Just then massive body fall behind Yang Bai, it was triple headed lion, yang Bai body was getting corroded by red mist and suddenly the key started shining brightly , after some time Yang Bai disappeared and left behind piles of bone.
