19 Martial Style(II)

"Unfortunately, you haven't awakened yet so I can't help you form your Martial core, yet. But that's fine."

"So I'll recapitulate; we need to understand your gifts and master them, then you need to find an anchor to form your martial style or atleast, an embryonic form of it."

"Understood?"

Adonis felt like he was back to the old days training with his older brother as he subconsciously straightened his back and seriously nodded.

"Now, let's start with the trinity of gifts."

Atryan waved his hand and a rush of qi filled Adonis' body, rapidly healing him.

"Gifts have three sections; The Passive, The Active and The Nova."

"The first two don't need to be explained. As for the Nova section of a gift, it represents the ultimate form of a Gift, surpassing all limits, that can only be used three times during your life before forever disappearing. You'll retain your gift but you just won't have your Nova ability and section."

"It's really important to master your Gifts before you begin cultivating since if not mastered, they'll become obsolete and their potential will go to waste."

"Alright, what are your Gifts."

The rush of qi died down and Adonis' body was fully healed. He took a deep breath in, exhaled then spoke.

"I have four Gifts."

"The first is [Order], the second is [Layer], the third is [Snatch] and the last is [Prime]."

Atryan didn't seem to be surprised by the amount of Gifts Adonis had awakened as he fell into deep thought and began caressing his chin in contemplation.

"Should I explain what their abilities are?"

Atryan didn't answer, too engrossed in his own mind and thoughts.

For a few hours, Adonis just sat there, watching Atryan's cogs spin faster and faster as the seconds passed.

"You're very lucky." He suddenly said.

"You're lucky for multiple reasons. You're lucky because your Gifts are part of the few billion that my master studied in depth, meaning you won't be searching for answers veiled in darkness. It's all already here."

"You're lucky because your abilities perfectly synergise with one another and are powerful regardless of the stage you're in due to their broadness."

"You're also lucky because with these gifts, you'll probably never need any other auxiliary technique. There's a very high chance that in your life, your Gifts are all you'll need to stand at the top."

Hearing this, Adonis smiled in excitement.

Atryan removed the upper part of his armour, revealing his powerful chest as sat down cross legged in front of Adonis.

"So, I'll be now telling you what your trinities are. We'll rapidly go over them then, for a period of time, we're gonna be focusing on having you reach perfect mastery. Once that's done, we'll move on to the second phase."

Adonis nodded.

"So, let's start with [Layer]. Its Passive, Active and Nova abilities, respectively, are; [Enhance], [Stack] and [Multiply]."

"[Enhance] passively increases your overall power at all times. The enhancement factor depends on your maximum possible Layer. If the most you can layer is ten then your [enhance] will be of five and when you maximum amount of layers goes to twenty, your [enhance] will move to ten. Pretty simple, yet, very terrifying."

"As for [Stack], it's what you've been using. To simply temporarily layer anything related to your being. The only downside of this ability is that you can't extend it to other living beings or objects but it's a good trade off."

"[Multiply] just allows you to use [Stack] but permanently. So if your stack reaches a number like eight hundred and you use multiply then you'll forever be eight hundred times more powerful. This ability is terrifying especially if you wait to use it until you're much older and have reached a higher cultivation realm." He said.

As soon as he heard this, Adonis felt his mind tremble as a wave of information flooded his mind. As soon as he'd learned about his trinity, his own Gifts seemed to have filled in the gaps and sent him the full package of information.

"Let's move on to [Order]. Its abilities are; [Control], [Command] and [Impose] referring to its passive, active and nova sections, respectively."

"[Control] gives you absolute dominion over your own body and gives a minor control over the world around you. It's a bit elusive when said like this but when we begin training, you'll understand."

"[Command] is the ability you've using and [Impose] is your nova ability. [Impose] allows you to permanently impose your will and decree onto something. With it, you could permanently turn a left into a right or an up into a down. In other words, it allows you to break and reshape logic though on a minor scale. The effects are more pronounced if you use it on yourself as opposed to the world or other living beings."

"Hm, it seems like [Multiply] and [Impose] mirror one another. Almost like they're aspects of the same concept." Remarked Adonis, to which Atryan promptly nodded in agreement.

"Mhm. Like I said, you're very lucky. All your abilities, though not the most generally overpowered, provide the most solid foundation and support one could ask for. Even if you were born talentless with no backing, with your Gifts, as long as you studied them for long enough, you could rise to the top."

"Oh? There are fundamentally more powerful Gifts than the ones I have? Which ones?" Asked Adonis in curiosity.

Atryan sneered.

"Hmph. Your gifts are good but they're just a few among an endless stream of abilities that are just as good. An example of an overpowered Gift would be the [God] gift."

"Unlike most Gifts, it doesn't have any trinity and simply transforms the very essence of its wielder. It grants the person who has it a form of omnipotence that can't be touched in the realms of mortality." Added Atryan.

Though Adonis was shocked by the insanity of such a Gift, his attention was focused on something else.

'Mortality? Interesting.'
