2 Departure (Part 2)

In the middle of the night, someone knocked on her door (again).

"Holy crap! Let me sleep. I'm already not bothering you." Mari then reached for her headphone as she tried to play music on the phone and returned to sleep.

*Brrring* Her alarm clock rang.

"Uh-oh... Why does the morning come earlier?" She tried to wake up half-heartedly as she tried to turn off her alarm.

"Hello... Human. You are already dead." A very gentle voice whispered in her ear.

"Nah, it must be a dream." Mari ignored the voice as she tried to turn her body left and back to sleep.

After hearing that kinda response, the woman said something in a strange language, as if casting a spell. By the end of her words, Mari suddenly opened her eyes. Not just that, her body state was laying down no more but instead standing up awkwardly.

It was a strange place, similar to a witch's hideout with 4 pillars that held the room intact. It wasn't that dark since an enormous cauldron shined in the middle. But still, it was a strange experienced here. On the other hand, Mari was now faced with a woman with a wing. The woman's hair was tied in a ponytail with some... red aura hair tie. Mira was shocked about her presence and those kinds of odd experienced. She then looked at a big door as she tried to run through it. Unfortunately, it was useless since she couldn't move at all as if some invisible force held her.

"Wh-what is the meaning of this? So, you mean it when you said I'm already dead?" Mari asked with a certain doubt. She was calmer than ever since her state of mind forced her sanity to stay in its place. Her experience as a doctor built this kinda mindset in her. Someone brave with skepticism on her head. The personality that made her question anything whether they were fact or not.

"I already make a clear notion. For you to believe that is another story."

Suddenly a blue aura came out from the woman. For a while, Mari's body was able to move again. She planned to run through the big door again. Before she went far, she floated as her body pulled back to the initial point.

"Where are you going? I already said it, you are dead." The woman glared as her eyes started to glow with white light. Then, she cast a spell as her aura got bigger. In a second, a burst of aura came. Mari was able to move for a moment but then she flew away as the sudden force struck her.

*Thud*

Mari bumped into 1 out of 4 pillars. The pain was running down her spine. Besides that, There was a shed of blood made on her head. She then wiped it a little.

"O-ouch... The pain is so real. So you are really an angel? But how can I die?" She said as her hand supported her spine and tried to stand up.

"First of all, it's real because you really died. The second, I never said to you that I'm an angel. Why did you conclude that way?" The woman asked as her body approached Mari and bowed 45 degrees to make eye contact with her.

"Umm... Because you have pretty white hair, pretty white dress, pretty white wing, pretty white skin..."

When Mari said that, the woman's face turned red.

"Umm... wh-what was the last part?"

"...And you are a woman. Enough reason that you are just being an angel, not a God." Mari said it relentlessly.

The woman's face turned redder. It was not because shy anymore. She was really offended by Mari's words. She then shouted.

"IT'S THE 21ST CENTURY AND YOU ACT THAT WAY? IN THE GOD'S WORLD, THERE'S ALSO GENDER EQUALITY. WHEN THERE'S A GOD, THERE'S ALSO A GODDESS. AND I AM GODDESS!" The Goddess yelled and not so long after that, Mari felt some invisible hand holding her cheek. The grip on her cheek was getting tighter and it threw her away to the left, direction of another pillar.

*Thud*

"O-ouch... So what now? Would I trigger some random reward event if I bump into the rest 2 of the pillars? It's not fair. " Mari protested as her body still laid down on the ground.

"Well, that will do. Good for lowering my anger."

"Wha..." Mari couldn't finish her sentence as her body flew again. She bumped into 2 more of the pillars, back and forth.

"NAHHHHHH... You said it's just 2 of the pillars. Also, I just said it sarcastically. I never signed up for any of that. Ahem... but anyway, where is the reward, then." Mari asked as her pupils dilated and sparkled while her body just sat down near the pillar.

"Well, I did say 2 pillars. But I didn't say anything about the back and forth," The Goddess shrugged with a mocking face. Mari clenched her fist as she held a grudge toward the Goddess. Since she worried about the outcome, she calmed down.

"Anyway, the reward was my blessing. You will find out later. Before I say anything, I will emphasize this to you. GENDER EQUALITY DOES EXIST," in the blink of an eye, the goddess teleported and whispered the emphasized part into Mari's left ear.

"Meh, another type of social justic- I mean, Oh My Goddess! Thank you for the reward. I will worship you. What is your name?" Mari that planned to stand up, changed her plan into bowing down.

"My name is Yoko, The Goddess of Motherly love. You can stand up now. Sorry for the uncontrollable tantrums I showed. I should be ashamed of my name. But I will tell you the reason why you died. You died because of your childish side personality. You made your neighbor angry too much. Little thing you don't know, she has mental problems. And her episode was at its peak when you made a lot of noise last time. So she burned the entire apartment, starting from your room. Ah.. you probably remember someone knocked on your door. That was her. She tried to make sure whether you responded or not. But as she expected, you ignored her like usual. And that's the time she started to burn the apartment. That concludes the story." Yoko explained it carefully.

"What the hell is this? Argh..." Mari screamed.

"But don't worry, you will live again in another wonderful world," Yoko showed Mari hope.

"Ah... It's like an anime. Since I used to be a doctor, I will choose as a prieste- AAAAA... what happened? Why am I flying?"

Before Mari finished her words, she suddenly levitated to the sky.

"No need to worry! I already chose the best class/job or whatever you called it. Based on your interest when you were still alive, Eterna."

"How can you know my game username? Don't tell me that you are the owner of the websi-"

Mari couldn't get any answer since her body had already moved into another world.

"Ah... I forgot to tell her. The neighbor died earlier and also went to the same world as her. Meh...Whatever." Yoko took that lightly. Yoko took that lightly.
