Everything didn't happen like it did in novels
This, for Talia Crest, was real life
There was certainly a huge responsibility that came with being the outcast of all Princesses, being the least favourite, being the least powerful... and one of those responsibilities was shouldering all the unfavourable burden.
Talia Crest, the 9th Princess of the Kreal Empire, had to be given away as the scapegoat to the Lord of the Sarabians, whose ruthlessness was said to have no bounds.
And Talia wasn't ready to be subjected to the hard life she had had in her own Father's land, in someone else's, thus she jumped in the Royal pond a day after the 1st Princess' wedding, throwing all caution to the wind.
Faith, however, had different plans for her. She found herself sent back to the time in court when her marriage had just been announced.
But things didn't happen like they did in novels, Talia couldn't hold her reins. Everything was suddenly different, changed and thwarted in ways that just did not happen the first time.
What was she going to do now? Was this fate's punishment for her for going against its laws?
It was like the World was punishing her for committing suicide for that same reason, but could the ball still get in her Court?

"Princess," his voice rumbled out of his chest, velvety and rough and sending a violent tingle down Talia's spine, "what is it you desire, standing by the pond?"
"I..." Talia swallowed, blinking at herself, not because the Man in front of her was strikingly beautiful - she couldn't deny he was, though - but because she could feel her legs shiver underneath her from his intense stare. She ran a tongue quickly along her dry lips, yet the unfriendly evening weather was making it go all chapped and dry at once.
Though she couldn't make out his glistening eyes in the darkness, she felt his savage eyes on her lips and couldn't help wondering why his eyes seemed to be everywhere, on everything, all at once.
"The cat got your tongue? Well, have you fallen so head over heels with me, that you can't bear to see me marry the 2nd Princess and decide to jump instead?"
"What?" It took a whole while before she blinked again at his narcissism. "You can't accuse me of such! I have never..."
"Hush, no need to fret it... The feeling happens to be mutual..."
