Escaping the Eyes of the Yandere

Being watched. Everything you say. Everything you do. Everywhere you are. Jilun grew up in a small rural village. Located at the edge of a major Empire, the village only housed farming families. Because of this, Jilun didn’t really have anyone around his age in the small population of the village. Except one girl. She was named Jia, a bright and friendly girl who happened to be born around the same time. Their parents were great friends and even gave them similar names. Over the years, they grew attached to each other and did everything together. Jiluns dream was always to venture out of the bounds of the village to explore what the big cities of the empire had to offer. After explaining his dream one day to Jia when he was young, everything changed. Jilun started to notice changes in Jias personality. She became so clingy that she clung tighter to him then the clothes he wore. He wrote off her changes as natural for being the only one in the village around her age that could understand her. He found her to be perfectly normal as he had never met any other girl or boy of his age. Everything was fine… until the day he decided to leave the village. _____________________________________________ Contains Prominent Yandere Elements R-18/Smut Content Chapters Labeled (Don’t expect any until later chapters) I do not own the cover image. So Known, Yet Unknown

Jilun seemed to get lost in those eyes that were more beautiful than the sea. Her white hair only served to enhance the perfect features of her face. She looked so pure, one you would never assume to have ever held a weapon before. Jilun felt that even if he touched her she would collapse, more fragile than even the paper that he held within his hand.

Her hair still fluttered as it landed on her back, as if she had suddenly paused mid action. It seemed that Jilun had interrupted their spar.

'Wait, a spar between an instructor and a disciple who looks no more than my age? This must be the infamous disciple he spoke of.'

But as the beautiful figure burned into his memory, Jilun couldn't help but feel her so familiar, as if he has known her for more than a lifetime.

This was truly strange to him as he assured himself he had never seen her before in his life. And it's not that he had forgotten, but it simply wasn't possible. He had never met a girl his age before leaving the village, this was of course, excluding Jia. As this was the case, then… who was she?

Jilun knew what familiarity felt like, and it wasn't as if he was missinterpreting his feelings. It really was strange, maybe her mystical figure had him going crazy or the like.

"I apologize if I had interrupted, Instructor Fengge. I have brought a disciple who wishes to reside under you."

The disciple tapped my arm, indicating to me to show the seal signed with his name.

I follow his instructions, lifting the wrinkled paper out of my pocket, stretching it out in the air allowing the instructor clear view of the promise he had made my family.

Instructor Fengge was silent for a moment, pondering as he seemed to try to recall when he had made such a promise.

His eyes slightly widened, coming to a realization.

"You must be Fengs son?"

He looked at me dead in the eyes, awaiting my answer. Of course, he was right, but he seemed as he wanted reassurance.

"Yes, Feng is my farther, I come from the Village of Quadel"

Instructor Fengge nodded before letting out a light laugh.

"I am very surprised that he remembered me! It seems a thought of visiting me hasn't passed him by with the past years!"

Fengge and Jilun's father were great friends. Following the sequence of certain events, Fengge felt he was forever indebted to Feng. But after sometime in the relationship between the two, Feng had told Fengge about his village, and that he was only in the City of the New Moon temporarily. After they spent some time together as the last reminiscent moments for what could be years, Feng departed back to his village.

Fengge had expected him to return one day to meet with him again, as he is well informed of his position at the Aster Grounds and cannot just leave on a half a year long vacation as he pleases. But Feng never did visit him, and it seemed that he had a son in the 15 years he was gone.

"I would have to disagree. I'm sure father would've loved to come visit you but with the burden of the farm, as well as me, he hasn't found the time."

Fengge waved his hand in the air as if he was joking, responding wholeheartedly.

"I am just kidding. I of course, knew of your fathers work and responsibilities. I hold no contempt for his lack of showing face around here. I'm only glad that he still remembers me and has entrusted me with his son."

Fengge turned to look at the white haired disciple.

"Xuanyin, our spar will end here. If you are so kind, would you care to guide our newly appointed disciple to his housing? I'm sure you know where the empty residences are."

The white haired girl nodded, her face remaining coldly indifferent.

"Of course, it would not be a problem."

The disciple who was guiding Jilun to Fengge cringed with Jilun's luck. He had only guided Jilun in order to see the heavenly beauty, now, the random that had just joined the building with seemingly no talent will now get personally brought to his residence by the goddess?

Nothing much was known about Xuanyin, even so, her beauty was enough to attract all men who laid eyes upon her. She spoke to no one, and has no friends. It was not that nobody wanted to be her friend, in fact, there wasn't a single being who didn't want to, it's just, her indifference made it impossible to determine her thoughts of you and to build any sort of relationship. She would never continue a conversation, react to anything that was said to her, and never actively sought to do anything that wasn't asked of her. She was truly an oddity, but that was what brought a desire to conquer her amongst the men.

But of course, that wouldn't happen. She was the prized disciple of the Aster Grounds, the number one candidate for the major powers tournament. She was given anything and everything, along with her top strength that no disciple could match, no one of any status could do anything to her, not even the grounds master. It was but a pipe dream to force her to do anything within the City of the New Moon, much less the grounds itself.

*Swoosh!*

Suddenly, the angel of a human appeared before Jilun, her hair gliding with her immense speed. Her two feet gentlely touched the ground as she quietly landed. Looking towards Jilun, she spoke.

"If you would follow me, I will guide you to your new residence"

Jilun responded quickly as he looked away. He was worried he would be transfixed on her face if she stood any closer. As when she neared him, all he could think of was her pure white skin, not a blemish to be seen on it. It really took up most of the thoughts running around in his head, and only made him think of her more.

"I will be in your care then"

Jilun bowed in appreciation, because, disregarding her beauty, it was a great favor that she was doing for him.

Xuanyin simply walked past him, Jilun following behind.

The disciple could only watch in jealousy as Jilun and Xuanyin disappeared behind the enormous double doors. He sighed.

'It should've been me…'
