13. The wedding day

Two weeks had passed and the time had already come. Anna was being dressed up by the professional stylist that was hired. She was beautiful in her large white ball gown, shimmering and glowing under the rays of light peaking through the window.

"Common people, we don't have much time or else we would be late for-- ohh....is this my daughter" Rayn came in to the room only to be interrupted by how beautiful her daughter was. She placed her hands over her mouth and started tearing up.

"Momma, please don't cry, you'd just make me cry as well and you don't want to ruin your makeup" Anna said trying as much as possible not to cry as well.

They arrived at the venue and someone whispered into the priest ear-"she is ready"- and with that, he voiced. "congregation rise!". The instrumentalists began playing the musical notes as everyone held their breaths waiting to see the bride, and there she was, walking alongside her brother down the isle and holding hands. Everyone was in awe at how beautiful she was. Then Troy whispered to her,

"You look beautiful"

All she did was smile. Within a blink of an eye, they were already at the alter then the Pastor began saying,

"Please be on your seats. We are gathered here to celebrate the union between Phillip Jones and Annabelle Woods. I pray that their marriage shall be as sweet as honey and that you will love one another till thy kingdom come, now Annabelle. Say this after me, Phillip Jones, the love of my life, I promise to love and cherish you, stand by you through thick and thin, through sickness and wellness, till death do us part" As the Pastor said, Anna repeated.

"Now Jones, your turn" the pastor said as he read the vows and Jones repeated.

After the Pastor was done, he instructed them to say their own personal vows to each other and they did, at this time, Anna was already in tears before the Pastor said,

"Now is there any one here who thinks that these two should not be together in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace"

This made everyone really tense especially Anna as she was looking around, praying silently that no one would object, she was a little bit concerned that her mother would speak because from the beginning, she always had uneasy feelings about him, but thankfully her mom didn't speak.

"Okay then, by the power vested in me. I pronounce you husband and wife.. you may kiss the bride".

With that, he raised her veil and devoured her lips without wasting any time. Once the whole church ceremony was over. People rejoiced as they left the church and went to where the reception hall was located.

The hall was beautifully decorated with different shades of purple, as purple was Anna's best colour, chandeliers dancing and emitting different rays of lights. The venue was outstanding. There was enough food and activities for everyone. The whole event lasted for about 8 hours and ended by 9 O'clock in the night. What Anna had been waiting for since was about to happen. She was going to finally see his house. He opened the car door for her to enter and she did, but before they left, they greeted everyone good bye then left.

"I can't wait to see your house" Annabelle said enthusiastically but Jones didn't reply, he just looked at her through the front mirror and smiled.

The journey was so long that Annabelle slept off only to be woken up by Jones.

"Babe....we are here" Jones said as a very built man that looked like a guard open the door for him

"Welcome master" he spoke.

Annabelle was shocked, she knew he was rich but she didn't know he was 'this' rich. The house was massive it was a mansion with five floors. The ground floor was beautifully decorated with flowers, a large white tiger rug that really looked comfy for sleeping and very beautiful antiques The large white floor had some swirlings of black in it. Large chandeliers and lights beaming with different shades of colour. One thing she couldn't fail to notice was the amount of servants that were working in the house. When she advanced further into the house, her beautiful smile turned into a slight frown. She saw a lot of portraits that were not quite appealing to the eye. They were nude pictures, not only that, there were lady servants that were dressed outrageously. They wore black net leg ins and a very short black skirt on top of it with a red shirt tucked- in, if it was a flare skirt, she would have let it slid, but it was a very tight skirt. At some point, she concluded that they were trying to seduce him but she then realized that they were maids and he obviously decided what they would wear, and she could tell that most of them seduce him in the process....now that she was there and legally his wife, she would make some changes, she thought to herself.

A lady then came and showed her to the room she was going to stay. "Wait....aren't I supposed to stay in the same room as my husband"

"Uhh...my lady, the master assigned this room specifically for you" she said with a not-so-sweet smile then she continued, "i will take your children to their room now" Immediately Annabelle heard this, mommy mode kicked in.

"No! They are staying here with me. Move their things here and I don't want any arguments" Anna said with a curt voice.

"Uhh..okay" the maid replied reluctantly then left.

Annabelle quickly went for a shower and changed into her p Jamas.

"My sweet pumpkins" Anna said as she cuddled with Alex and Alexa. One after the other, she took them, cleaned and also changed then into their night clothes then fed them with breast milk before she patted then to sleep, when she was done, she went out of the room too look for Jones but she just ended up getting lost, she tried as much as possible to re trace her steps and she did it just fine. She finally got to her room and decided that she would see him the following morning then kissed her children before she finally slept off.
