3 Chapter 3: Abilities

"Well, there's only one way to find out. [Status]" Alex stated, but instead of the screen he was used to seeing when he chose the symbol, he had an unexpected sensation.

A feeling about power and the ability he holds.

As Alex focused on the sensation that came over him as he pronounced the word [Status], a flood of wonderful sensations attacked him, along with the knowledge of the abilities and power he now had as Alexander Flameborn.

When Alex glanced over his abilities, he immediately realized that four of the five he possessed were the abilities of the game's protagonist, which he obtained by completing the quest.

There are five protagonists in [DREAM WORLD]—four male protagonists and one female protagonist—as well as eight or nine genres from which the player may choose.

Alex has played the most of them, with the exception of the netorosa route, the BL route, and the reverse harem route—the abilities Alex presently has is the ability he got when playing these characters.

The first ability is called [Evil Mastermind], which is the same ability that is responsible for keeping him composed—from the moment he arrived in the world.

In the game, this is one of the essential powers that the player has in order to prevent mind control or other comparable abilities.

But now this ability has some other effect, it is due to the influence of the first effect Alex was able to easily accept the death of his previous life and the next effect is to enable him to adapt to his surroundings—not physically but mentally and quickly come up with a solution.

The next ability is named [Aspect of Lust], and as the name implies, it is a skill that indirectly effects lust. Its impact is visible over time. It also has a secondary ability known as [Lust Mark].

[Lust Mark] gives the user the power to enslave the female through a worm tattoo—much like how succubus and incubus enslave males and females of different races.

This is one of the unique abilities Alex gained after defeating the Ruler of Lust in a gruelling battle of stamina and endurance.

If this world is really [DREAM WORLD], then this ability is really important in order to avoid world destruction.

Then there are other two abilities called [Last Adversary] and [Blessings of Holy], which support com offensive ability.

Alex's final ability is named [Inventory]. [Inventory] is one of the common talents that all players receive when they begin the game in [DREAM WORLD]. As a result, it is not a rare ability.

In Alex's situation, though, you may claim that [Inventory] is one of the most powerful abilities among his other abilities since he has all of the items, equipment, and crafting supplies that he got throughout his gaming day in his inventory.

So it's not an exaggeration to say that with the use of inventory alone he can be considered powerful.

After Alex verified all his abilities, he took a Minor Healing Potion from his inventory.

Minor Healing Potion is a low-grade healing potion that is utilized during fight due to its fast recovery.

Positive energy is used to regain 100HP. In the game, the potion may instantly restore lost health in a couple of seconds. However, its impact on this world is uncertain.

Taking the bright blue potion, which is kept in an eye-catching glass jar. Alex gave it a close look and thought.

'If I really healed up then what explanation should I give Adele.' If Alex really healed up completely without prior notice then not only Adele but also his supposed father will be suspicious of him.

'Maybe I should take it slow and it's not like I can't move or anything and I don't want to invite any suspicion from anyone.' Alex thought he put back the healing potion in inventory.
