Chapter 5-Ernst Institute

A day later after the Magic Aptitude Test. Ernst set aside his training and only meditates at night. He accompanied his family every day. He plays along with little sister Anna every day, their family travels and visit every interesting places in the Fenlai Kingdom. They have tasted every food that they find delicious. Their family relatives that also in Fenlai Kingdom were visited by them. This experience makes her little sister happy.

Times flies past.

The day arrives when Ernst will enter the institute. His family accompanied him till the gate of the school. His little sister was sad and crying. He hug her, appeased and promised that he will visit them often.

His father James takes a ring from his inner packet. His father patted his shoulder, "Son, this is an interspatial ring. We have acquired it with great effort. Drop a blood to recognize as its master. This will be our gift for you, passing the Magic Aptitude Test. Don't show it to the public until you are strong enough. Don't worry about me, I have another one."

Ernst was touched by his parent's generosity. Having interspatial ring makes his life easier, especially when he travels. His consciousness enters the ring, inside the ring is huge, about the size of football field. He put his case, money and sword inside the interspatial ring. He hugs his family and sends them in the carriage until it is gone from sight, then he entered the campus.

Outside of Ernst Institute, a few visible sights of human presence could be seen, just an empty mountain range.

Inside the campus, there are restaurants, hotels, clothing stores, bar and other sort of service industries. It could be said that the students of the Ernst Institute spent their lives within the campus.

The main gate of Ernst Institute was a fully fifty meters wide. Above the great gate was an enormous, crescent moon shaped construct, covered with all sort of magical inscription. Just from seeing the complicated inscription were, one could imagine how powerful and mighty the magic formation protecting the institute were.

Presently, at the main gate of the Ernst Institute is a very lively place. There were rows of academic staffs. Ernst brought out his admission letter and proof of identity and begun the process of enrollment. The school staff gave a student ID and his residence key.

Ernst moved forward, he observed the school. Inside were filled with shady groves, lakes, stone bridges, ancient buildings with ancient aura that can be felt in the entire place. There are many instructional signs telling students where to each location was, this was intended to assist new students.

The dorm area was numbered logically beginning from 0001, with each row of housing 100 individual dorms. When Ernst arrived at row 20, he saw dorm 1901. Then, as he continued walking east, he finally arrived at dorm 1985.

Ernst knocked inthe room and entered. The space inside in the dorm room is spacious. There are four bedrooms and a living room. In the living room, there are three young boys chatting. One of them has a black hair and eyes, skinny body with wild looks. The other one is a fat boy with brown hair and green eyes. The last one is a short guy with glasses.

As long-term dorm mates, in the future, they would be together for a long time.

Ernst greeted and introduced himself. "Hi everyone. You must be my roommates, I'm Ernst from Fenlai City. I'm eight years old."

"Hello too. You must be the last member of our dorm 1985. By the way, I'm Randy from Hanmo Kingdom. I am nine this year" The fat boy introduced himself.

"My name is Eugene from the Far East plain, and I'm ten years old." The black hair boy said.

"I'm Oliver from Holy Union, and I'm also ten years old." The short boy with glasses announced himself.

Ernst looks at his dorm mates and asked. "What were you guys talking before I came here?"

The fat boy Randy speaks first. "We are talking about staying in the institute for decades. You should know the minimum requirement to graduate is to reach sixth rank magus. For a magus, the higher you progress, the harder it becomes. For most people, it takes a couple of decades to become a sixth rank magus." Randy knows a lot and said all he knows.

"Ernst, since you are the youngest in our dorm, you will be our fourth brother. I, Oliver, will be your big boss. Eugene will be the second brother and Randy as the third brother." The short boy, Oliver said.

"I have no opinion." Said Eugene.

"No problem." Randy said.

"Fine with me." Ernst agreed.

"Good. Good. For now, I will take care of you. If you need money, just ask me. My money is yours. Hahahaha." The short boy Oliver laughs smugly.

"I don't know our boss is that rich, please take care of me in the future." Randy teased him.

"Boss, I'm so poor. I only have one hundred gold coins allowance per year. You also have to take care of me." The black-haired Eugene also join in teasing the short-haired boy.

"Boss, since I'm the youngest, you have to take care of me too. I want to avoid being bullied by the older students." Ernst also joins in the fun.

"Hahahaha." All of them laughs for their childish jokes.

The four boys continued chatting about their experience in coming to the institute, after chatting they went to a restaurant to eat. After eating, they roamed around the campus to familiarize themselves and looked at their classrooms.

Ernst woke up early in the morning to do some simple workouts like running, punching and kicking. After finishing, he went to the restaurant to eat breakfast with his roommates.

The earth-magic class is schedule from 8am-10am in the morning.

Inside the classroom, there are around twenty students. Ernst already knows what the lecture is about, so he sat on the back near the window. Linley is among them and is sitting at the front.

"Greetings, everyone." A kindly looking middle-aged man stood in front of the class. "My name is Wendi, and I will be your instructor in earth magic. Today, we have around twenty students. As same as always, first you are going to introduce yourselves so that we can get to know each other."

Every student stands one by one and introduced themselves.

After the introduction, the instructor Wendi bragged about the earth-style magic power. Only in the second hour did he actually begin to instruct earth-style magic.

Ernst feels bored, he already knows what the instructor taught to the class. He even has a spell starting from 7th rank spell up to the forbidden spell. He plans to only attend class once a month or whenever he feels to. Picking up attribute bubbles will be faster to increase his strength.

After class, he travels around the campus and classrooms, but to his dismay, there are so few attribute bubbles drops.

Ernst noticed that the attributes for the elemental essence affinities, apart from earth, other elements is very low. Maybe because the students and instructors are in a class, and they are not training

He closed the transparent panel and began to think. "Picking up attributes bubbles is not good, while visiting classrooms and travelling around the campus, very few students and teachers are training. I have to wait for the yearly school competition to harvest attribute bubbles. For now, I will continue to roam around the campus to pick up attribute bubbles, though they are few, they will accumulate later."
