Chapter 28-A Battle with a Deity

"Pant….pant….pant….pant…."

Human Saints and Saint-level magical beast are breathing heavily on the ground. Some with heavy injuries, while some have light injuries due to their tough defense.

The two groups just finished a mock battle in Mt. Blackraven with all their strength. All their strongest attacks are shown on the battle without holding everything back.

The first group composed of James, Sarah, Douglas, and Roger and the second group composed of their magical beast companions. They are Firedragon Brad, Winged Pegasus Chrissy, Blackbear Horus and Dragoncat Alger. Velocidragon Nadia was also included in the battle.

"Horus, you really didn't hold back. I almost died." Douglas berated his magical beast companion.

"Master, you said to me to go all-out, so I give my all." Horus answered back.

"Nadia, your tail attacked almost broke all my bones. Don't use your spiritual attack next time, its very annoying when I get dizzy every time your attack hit me."James grunted, being defeated by Nadia.

"Husband, don't be too hard on Nadia, she is only doing this to train us." Sarah, who was still lying on the ground with claw marks on her body, finally spoken.

While they were discussing, a white light envelop them, healing their injuries quickly. This is the reason they are not afraid to go all-out in their battle, as long as they don't die, Ernst will heal them to full health.

"Okay everyone. Relax your mind and rest. Replay every move you did during the battle in your mind. See if there is something you need to improve in your battle skills and if there still a flaw, try to improve it. Find also the quickest way to defeat your opponents with minimal effort." Ernst gives his suggestion.

After a few hours of meditation, they finally open their eyes. During their previous battle, they got insights on the Laws they are training. The more they attuned to nature, their understanding of the Laws get deeper.

"If you want to enter the Necropolis of the Gods, your strength are far from enough. Inside the Necropolis of the Gods, if you are not careful, even if you are promoted to a Prime Saint, the chances of dying are very high. Anyway, we still have fourteen years left to prepare. Always believe in yourselves. When you are all promoted to a Deity, we will leave the Yulan continent and travel around the Infernal Realms." Ernst smiles whiles he gives advise. He had told them the information about the Necropolis of the Gods after he becomes a Deity.

"Husband, Ernst, little darling. I missed our previous home in Fenlai City. Though, it was already in ruins. I have many good memories their, I want to visit it." Sarah feels nostalgic about their previous residence and told them about her desire to visit the place they have stay before.

"I also miss our previous home. In there, I watched Ernst and little Anna grew up while living there. Let's go and see if our mansion still exist, even if it is already ruined." James also agreed to Sarah.

"Alright, let's go then. I want to visit there for a long time." Ernst also agreed.

"You guys stay here, we will back shortly." James told Douglas and Roger and the rest of the magical beast.

"Yes Milord." Douglas and Roger replied.

As Ernst, James, and Sarah was about to fly. "Wait, I'm coming too." Nadia changed into a smaller size and landed on Ernst shoulder.

"Let's go."

Arriving at their former residence in Fenlai City, Ernst, James, and Sarah feels sad after seeing the ruins of their home. Ernst recalls his happy memories during his childhood. He and his sister were born and grew up in this place. This was the place where his soul takeover the body of the original Ernst Dawson. Everywhere he looks, he saw the image of a little boy running around the training ground, making stone sculptures in the back garden, eating and chatting happily in the dining room. He also saw the little boy being chased by a little girl, while laughing. Many good memories emerge as he looks more in their previous home, he even hears the voice of her parents and sister laughing with him. As he walks around, he grows angrier. A pack of Windwolves now occupies their previous home. It becomes a breeding place for a group of magical beast.

He releases his aura, scaring the group of magical beasts.

"Get lost!"

Ernst feels his anger towards Dylin and Linley getting stronger for causing the magical beast tide. He was weak and helpless against Dylin at that time, so he promised himself to take revenge once he got stronger.

While Ernst and his parents were still looking at their former residence, a devilish young man with slit on his forehead is flying at high speed towards Ernst direction. Aside from him, three kittens with wings were flying alongside him. He was angry that some Deity enters his territory without his permission. He knows who it was and plans to teach the person a lesson.

After arriving, Dylin saw Ernst, two Saint-level human experts and a Saint-level Velocidragon. They are looking at him with anger, but ignored them.

"Well, well, well. What have we here? The sixth Deity of the Yulan continent trespasses in my territory without permission?" Dylin said in a provocative voice.

Ernst already knows that Dylin was coming so he informs his parents and Nadia. Since Dylin is already here, he wants to vent his anger for ruining their previous home. He sent a message to his parents and Nadia through divine sense to keep a good distance from him.

"So it's you, Dylin. Do you know whose ruin mansion this belongs to?" Ernst looks seriously at Dylin. "I was born and grew-up in this mansion. Ten years ago, a beast tide destroys my home. At that time, I was too weak to stop them and take revenge to the one who orders the beast's tide. I promised to myself, when I'm strong enough, I will have my revenge." Ernst release his murderous aura.

While Ernst and Dylin were having a staring contest, on the Forest of Darkness, a Violet-Gold Rat King was watching the confrontation with Ernst and Dylin thru his divine sense. "A good show is about to begin. Harry, Harvey come here. Hurry, or you will miss watching an interesting show."

Soon, two Violet-Gold Rat Kings arrive. "Hart, what is it?" Harry hurriedly ask.

"Ernst and Dylin is about to fight. Ernst seems to have an enmity with Dylin. Let's watch the show." Hart said.

Dylin were not only annoyed by Ernst words, but makes him laughs too. "Hahahahaha! Revenge against me? Are you making me die of laughing? Ernst, know your place. I know you are very talented, but do you think you can fight me who was already a Deity for thousand of years? Even Catherine, O"Brien, and Cesar don't dare to provoke me, but you, a new Deity, dare to say challenge me?"

Ernst was not affected by Dylin's sarcasm, he has a belly full of anger towards him. "I never fought a Deity before. I will not know If I can defeat you, or not, unless I try." He soared towards Dylin and stop one hundred meters from him.

"Do you really want to challenge me?" Dylin ask again.

"Yes, are you afraid?" Ernst provokes Dylin again.

"Hahahahaha. So be it. I will teach you a lesson that you will never forget."

Dylin wears his glove offensive divine artifact as he charges towards Ernst at full speed, but he was surprised at the approaching Ernst.

Ernst has already arrived before Dylin could react with his right fist approaching his head.

Dylin was caught unprepared by Ernst sudden appearance, but being able to survived in Gebados Planar Prison for thousand of years. He did not panic and make an unexpected punch to counterattack Ernst punch.

"Bang!"

Ernst and Dylin's fist collided. Ernst did not take a step back, so as Dylin. They look in each other eyes, then separated to exchange blows again. As they exchange blows, the space, cracks during the collision of their fist. The already ruined Fenlai City below them, turns to dust by the shock waves made by their punches.

Ernst enjoys their exchange of blows with Dylin, but Dylin did not feel the same. He is wearing a divine artifact, but it was useless against Ernst. "Is his body stronger than a divine artifact?" As he thought of the reason, he quickly separated from Ernst and keep his distance.

"You are stronger than I expected. I will use my full strength this time." Dylin release a black aura full of destruction, as he suddenly vanishes and appears in front of Ernst in punching motion with his right fist.

"Boom!"

A loud sound was heard after Dylin punch. Everyone watching the battle thought Ernst will be dead this time, but seeing that he was fine after receiving Dylin's full power punch barehanded. They were dumbfounded. Even Dylin's eyes went wide.

On Ernst palm was a very thin pulsating earth elemental essence that negated most of the power of Dylin's attack.With his body comparable to a full God defensive artifact, Dylin's punch has no effect on him. He grabs Dylins fist and punch him in the chest.

"Bang!"

"Crack!"

"Aaaaargh!"

Dylin flew out after being hit. His chest cave in, while his chest bones were broken. He coughs blood. His looks at Ernst with fear.

"Father!"

The three kittens shouted as they worried about their father.

"Master, beat him up." Nadia also shouted.

Ernst looks at the injured Dylin, his anger towards him did not yet diminish. "Dylin, transform to your real body and use your innate divine ability. If not, you will not have a chance to use it later."

"Roaaaar!"

With no choice left, Dylin angrily roars as he transforms. A monstrous size divine beast 'Suanni Lion' appears in the air, glaring angrily at Ernst. The divine beast opens it mouth, a very powerful devouring force envelop Ernst, pulling him towards the beast mouth.

Ernst tries to resist the suction force, but it was useless. A divine clone with red hair appears beside Ernst, as they both resist Dylin's devouring force.

"Boom!" An explosion occurred in midair and a sudden hurricane appear out of nowhere. Ernst finally escapes from Dylin's devouring force.

"Phew!" Ernst, heaves a sigh of relief after escaping. "The devouring force were really strong" He thought.

After using his innate divine ability, Dylin return to his human form. He was panting heavily. Using his innate divine ability was too much burden to his body and it uses much of his spiritual energy.

Ernst did not waste time and seize Dylin's weak period. His original body and fire divine clone both attacks. The eyes of the fire divine clone turns red as it release a red needle beam of light towards Dylin. Meanwhile, his original body appears in front of Dylin in punching motion.

"Aaaaargh!"

Dylin scream in pain as he clasp his head with both hands. His body is constantly shaking.

"Bang!"

"Crack!"

Dylin's bones were instantly shattered. After being hit by spiritual attack, his defense was barely nothing. His body falls from the sky.

"Father!"

The three kitten shouted and flew towards Dylin.

On the ground, Dylin's orifices were bleeding. In addition to his broken body, he is not far from death. A single weak attack can kill him. His children cried after seeing their father's condition. The eldest child, Cleo, looks towards Ernst and shouted.

"We beg you! Please don't kill our father. We know what he did in the past was wrong. He only did it to protect us." Cleo tears fall down as he waited for Ernst response.

After beating Dylin, his pent-up anger is now gone. He just looks towards Cleo and Dylin's injure body and did nothing to him. He is a son, too. If he experience the same situation as Cleo, he will also beg for his father's life. He pick up the transparent attribute bubble on the ground, turn around and left. He walks towards his parents and Nadia.
