Chapter 1 Episode 1: The history of Marley

Long ago, there was a great empire known as the Marley. It is located somewhere near Japan where no exact information on the location can be gathered. Citizens were unaware of what was going on in the military as they were hidden from the citizens. Only those that serve in the army knows the cruelty and how the Marleyan got their power from. 

Since the Governor is biased and hates the Eldians who were given the title "The Descendants of Devils," the rest of the world believed that the descendants of Ymir are evil as she has made a deal with the devil for a great power to conquer the world. It caused the world to have hatred in them as they believe the Eldian cheated with the help of the Devil. Even after a century with peace, the governor still had problems with the Eldians and tried to banish them all to Paradise and raised war against them.

One of the Citizens POV:

Everyone living in Marley lived a wonderful and happy life for a long time without having to go for war with other countries for almost a century. This continued until one day, Captain Keith Sadies raised his voice towards the public claiming he couldn't take the brutal methods of punishments given by the Governor. He spread awareness to the public catching the attention of the Governor which results in them bursting to flames. He then cast out all of them to the nearby island of Paradise where it works as a jail for the citizen on Marley.

People say that those who went to Paradise were almost never heard from again. It was a way to tell the world not to mess with The Marleyan. One thing that the Marleyan forgot about the island was its great mystical legend for the champion slayer of humanity. His name is Captain Levi. He is much more dangerous than you ever know. Those Eldians in the Paradise island refer to Levi as their savior of humanity as he was always engaged in battle and near the edge of death but he trusted his comrades on all of their decision so they would survive critical situations. In a nutshell, the Maryelans made a grave mistake by casting him out.
