6 Noah Adler

''Right back at you, after not seeing each other for almost 4 years you just stood before me without greeting me and ordered me to follow you, I'm your lackey or something? I'm busy.''

Noah immediately passed Lilith whose eyes widened after realizing what she had done wrong.

She wanted to say something but was unable to open her mouth, not knowing what to say.

It was then another person who blocked Noah's route, it was the black-haired youth with ruby eyes, giving off the air of a prince.

''What do you want Aiden?" Noah glared at the black-haired youth before him. Almost punching that handsome face. It irritated him every time he saw it.

Aiden Von Klassen, the young master from the famous and ever-powerful Von Klassen's family.

''It is not how you should treat a lady. Please correct your behavior.'' Aiden said those words, his condescending tone seemed almost like he was ordering Noah not making a suggestion.

Noah was amused.

''What if I don't?"

Aiden was not surprised by Noah's answer, he expected such an answer, now he could move on to the next step of his plan of making Noah look like a fool and at the same time drawing Lilith's attention, it is like killing two birds with one stone.

However, Aiden forgot to take a few things into account, first Noah wouldn't play by his rules and lastly, he didn't know Lilith at all, she was not your typical woman, and she doesn't give a damn about these annoying things.

Noah looked at Aiden with pity, then flashed past him but only after saying this.

''You are still pathetic like when we were children. Grow some balls, man. Next time I'll punch your face like in the past.''

Aiden's smiling face froze, he felt like he had just received a huge slap on the face.

The following scene didn't help at all.

''Wow!"

''Nice drama.''

The students exclaimed and secretly began whispering amongst themselves.

Aiden ignored those fools and focused his eyes on Lilith, his eyes mellowed and he tried to appeal to her.

''Hello Lilith long time no see. I-"

Aiden hadn't finished talking before getting cut off by an expressionless Lilith, her face was colder than usual, almost like an iceberg from Antarctica.

''Move, I don't have your time.''

Aiden's body stiffened again and he stepped aside like a broken marionette.

His dignified appearance was no more, his shoulders slumped, and even the others felt sorry for him.

Lilith disappeared in turn, probably going after Noah, Arthur followed and stopped by Aiden's side.

''Man up. Try harder next time.''

Aiden glared at the annoying blond youth, if the look could kill, Arthur was certain to have died a thousand times already.

''Fuck off!''

Arthur shrugged his shoulders before disappearing beyond the door wearing a subtle smile.

'My first day was fun. As expected father didn't lie to me, school life is a must and it is bound to be fun.' Arthur mumbled while chasing after Noah.

Meanwhile, back in the classroom Aiden untied his necktie and his face recovered, glancing over at the rest of his classmates he flashed them a cool smile.

''See you tomorrow.''

Then he vanished, followed by his lackeys.

''As expected of the prince.'' Someone mumbled, another beauty, rose gold hair and emerald eyes, Francesca Fillion from Napoleon country.

''I would have looked down on him if he was down with something like this,'' Ilya responded. The princess of the Pharaoh country in the Far East Continent, a girl with tanned skin, black hair tied in twin tails, and emerald eyes just like Francesca. Ilya Norys is her full name.

''Oh Ilya dear, long time no see. Let's hang out.'' Francesca immediately dragged Ilya out of the classroom, and the latter followed her with a smile. Those two seemed to know each other very well.

'School life is going to be fun.' Ilya murmured.

Another one who was thinking the same thing as Arthur Kaamelott.

°°°

On the other side, Noah who had disappeared somewhere, now appeared inside a garden.

It is wide and open, sloping gently down to

a cosmic-blue river. A corpse of

cypress pines flanks us on one side, with a

thicket of peaceful beeches standing guard on the other side. Apple trees run through the center of the garden, casting a lake of claw shadows onto the grass.

Because currently it was autumn, the fiery brilliance of their leaves was a sight: scorching oranges, burning browns, and molten reds. Then they drift to the ground as silently and carelessly as an ash cloud, settling into their eternal rest.

Past the river, there is a plush-green

meadow that stretches away into the

vastness and a dragon-backed mountain in the distance.

Noah didn't wander too far, he was not in the mood to enjoy the magical garden. He sat on one of the many benches after the river.

''Fuck, that piss me off. How dare she to act like that.'' Noah untied his necktie and violently tossed it to the side. His hands were shaking.

He wanted to curse to his heart's content but maybe because he was afraid of someone hearing him he restrained himself.

However, he was really angry, back then he restrained himself pretty well if not he would have gone physical with Lilith, disfiguring Aiden's face.

''Calm down Noah, Calm down!" He repeated this several times like a mantra and finally managed to reign in his anger threatening to burst out.

Noah is someone with Intermittent explosive disorder. He received intensive treatment lasting years for that. He acquired this symptom after the death of his mother, it was pretty serious back then, and he would often easily get into a fight, brutalizing others, during this period he met Aiden and fought him several times, in most of the fights he beat the shit out of him.

Because of this, he didn't want to socialize, he had trouble making friends and he didn't trust easily, fearing being left alone if he were to get too attached to someone.

''Sigh! I thought if everyone left my side during my darkest time you'd have stayed but you disappeared.'' Noah's anger threatened to resurface again, his face kept twisting.

Well, Noah is rancorous as well. He resented Lilith for abandoning him when he needed her the most, back when she was in her toughest period he was there, even when she would beat the hell out of him during their training, he expected the same treatment when it was his turn but unfortunately his hope was smashed when Lilith suddenly disappeared without saying a word.

He didn't care why she had left, she just had to be present that time, helping him overcome his dark period more easily, he knew it was unreasonable but rationality was one thing, while his emotions were something else.

Because he was rancorous he didn't want to meet her, didn't want to talk to her, well there was another reason, Lilith is super competitive and had treated him like her errands boy since childhood, he didn't want to get beaten, in one word he was afraid even though he had grown up, not only physically but became powerful as well. That girl is a monster, a doll who does everything she wants without giving a damn about your opinion.

''Pfft! Why I'm even angry when the doll doesn't possess emotions and doesn't know how to express herself?" Noah laughed, it was funny now he thought about it, his resentment vanished but not completely, he was now more clearheaded upon recalling how Lilith was.

''Well, let's go back. I'm pretty much healed because I managed to not punch that fucker in the face.'' Noah disappeared after saying those words, he was smiling.

As soon as he left a white-haired beauty appeared and sat where he sat. She could still feel the warmth Noah's body left behind.

Lilith expressionlessly murmured.

''I'm sorry.''
