Chapter 8 Yearly Progress

Waking up the next day remembering he doesn't have to go to school until next week Jack connected to his divine realm again preparing himself for accidents and hoping something amazing happened.

As he slept for about 8 hours he found 4months had passed not a lot of time missed but more than Jack was used to. Looking over the tribe he breathed a sigh of relief seeing the tribe was progressing well.

A few hunters that were the second and third in command were able to level up alongside having another 20 kobold kids being born. The first group hadn't grown up yet as the kobolds weren't fully grown up until they were three years old though after 2 years they could start training which is something Jack is planning to implement in the tribe.

Remembering the most important thing to check Jack opened his god profile looking at his worship value with happiness. Happy the leader continually preached his greatness even without his control to the group.

Seeing the large amount of worship value Jack decided to upgrade the kobolds at the next feast and immediately permanently buff the two hunters and the leader's mates but having another buff decided to buff one of the crafter's hoping for something special.

At the next feast after giving a personal speech to the tribe he upgraded the two kobolds who were in awe and thanked the Lord of Grass for this bestowal. Once again looking at the worship value to check the faith he noticed it increase by a good chunk with this bestowal and another couple believers upgraded to true believers alongside a single devout believer.

Deciding to observe more in-depth and take control of multiple different kobolds to help them increase their experience in their forte.

Jack observed the kobolds for 3 days witnessing the hunt and noticing the hunters followed his directions to not overhunt and that every kobold including the leader trained and Jack decided to design a new course for lv1 kobolds who were being called champions.

Looking at the crafting portion and noticing a few things that can be improved and feeling comfortable leaving the group for a bit since they have everything under control. Jack left the divine realm to search the internet for tips on smithing and crafting.

Spending the rest of his day going back and forth between the main world and divine realm adding new things to the smithing burrows. Most things Jack implemented helped though many did the same thing in the end and several had no effects or worsened the situation.

Jack finally decided on several things that each helped and didn't overlap. Jack personally taught these things to the other smiths who quickly understood due to the simplicity in the methods Jack chose.

Through a lot of effort on Jack's part the kobolds tools increased in quality and the skills of the kobold's themselves increased with the teaching of Jack.

The first year anniversary of the divine realm had passed while Jack was testing methods. During this period of time Jack kept track of what was going on though not too in-depth.

Multiple rounds of births had taken place increasing the population further. With the new births and increasing amounts of permanent buffs on the adults Jack noticed the buffs didn't pass down. Though he blessed a child as an experiment and noticed the child seemed to be stronger than any other child but nothing special.

With the increasing population the hunters had to hunt more with the females fishing and taking care of the apple trees. The next year would be rough with the increased population of children while also having to feed them.

The next year was rough with high percentage of children and Jack decided to implement a big change in the tribe which hopefully would allow for the increase in population to not be problematic.

Jack considered his options but heaved a sigh of frustration as he would have to progress his tribe to a more civilized status which would help with feeding the children but the population would just keep growing.

Realizing the crisis that he will have to deal with stressed Jack out. He decided to consult his friends on what to do and if they had any genius ideas. Also he wanted an update on their statuses.

Jack as the leader organized the hunters and lead them on multiple raids against the same boar group. During these raids they didn't focus the younglings but the adults capturing a few in each raid. With a few raids that targeted the younglings for food.

With the increase of live boars that were fenced off and kept in the tribe alive Jack decided to start domesticating the boars. Using various methods he looked up on the internet and just pure brute force eventually overtime domesticated the adults.

Jack taught the females how to take care of the boars while they were not eating and to feed them get the hunters to escort the boars while they ate in the plains.

With this change the tribe hunted the wild boars while the domestic boars were multiplying.

With the gradual conversion of wild adult boars to domestic the food problem became easier to manage as they could easily slaughter boars for food without having to hunt.

This change lead to the hunting group to disband and become two separate groups once their was only one boar group left. The trapping group was formed by the skilled kobolds who specialized in capturing rabbits compared to hunting boars. The other group was formed by the stronger and less creative group to guard the boars and escort them around.

With this shift in the structure of the tribe many things changed. The leader became the head of escorts with the third in command taking over the trapping group. The tribe now consisted of the trapping, escort, smithing, female and children group.

The training field was maintained and became something all males outside the smithing group had to participate in as a way to increase strength.

Jack finally felt settled with this increase in food production as there wasn't much else he could do.
