Era: Dawn of the New Gods

Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. ________________________________________ Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my colleagues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. ________________________________________ *It is a sort of 'reverse RPG' as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilities. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beautiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters (some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and it treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items (it has similar concepts but they are not the same). *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character. Samira spent about 8 hours exerting her revenge, when she was done she laid on the floor and slept. Jade walked to the last remaining official and said "She might not be interested in torturing you, but I am" the official that was feeling relieved tensed up again and asked "But why?"

Jade responded "What's your name?" the official replied "My name is Salam". Jade smiled and said "Salam, I know you are not innocent, you're just lucky that no one here has a grudge against you, but it's alright, I won't torture you if you give me information on the situation of Abuja. Do you accept the deal?" the official said while shivering "y-yes".

The official told Jade that there were 3 cities like Banu city in Abuja; the cities were all underground cities and were all located around the edge of the state. The inner part of the state had extremely powerful monsters in them so they never tried approaching.

The power station they reclaimed had a Rank 4 monster in it and it was the only monster they'd killed; they mostly killed undead, even the two Rank 5s they'd killed were undead.

Jade thought after hearing Salam's information 'They don't know the Rank of the Hive monster that made the undead, they don't even know about Hive monsters, this sucks, I didn't expect people to be so weak compared to me after the IPs were given, but this works in my favor since none of them will be able to kill the monsters before me… or kill me'.

Jade told his IP 'Give me information of the high human race, I've killed them so I should have access to it right?' the IP showed him a screen that read:

[High Human (Homo Altum): The High Human race is an evolution of the Human race that comes as a result of Humans living in extremely dangerous and challenging environments.

The race has a similar en-code physique to humans hence it is very compatible with Humans. The race possesses higher quality stats than Humans in all areas and also possesses an energy organ. The race also has a far greater growth potential than the Human race.

The High Human race is the easiest race to evolve to from the Human race.

[En-code state:

Strength: 0/1,000,000

Agility: 0/1,000,000

Stamina: 0/1,000,000

Durability: 0/1,000,000

Intelligence: 0/100,000,000

Senses: 0/1,000,000

Energy: 0/10,000

Unattributed: 0/105,010,000]

'No wonder, they're all high humans, but compared to me, it seems like they got the short end of the stick. IP, why didn't I become a high human?' the IP responded 'Your evolution option was only available to humans who did the impossible, without dying, before the IPs were generally distributed'

Jade thought 'Oh? so it was a special evolution. IP, what conditions do I have to fulfill to get a special rewards like evolutions, privileges and stuff?' the IP responded 'Stellar question detected' and a screen appeared in front of Jade.

[Bonus information: Examples of Ancient grade races: Original Vampire, Founding Titan, Primordial Elf, True Demon, etc. Ancient grade races are races whose traits are so unique that they cannot be perfectly naturally reproduced through most forms reproduction or races with unattributed en-code on par with such races

Impossible quests with the 'impossible' status are quests that have never been completed by anyone and the ones with the 'possible' status are quests that have been completed by someone.

Race grades arranged in increasing order of average maximum unattributed en-code:

Low, High, Ancient, Mythical, Celestial.

There is no quest that doesn't have a time limit]

'Another information dump' Jade thought 'hmmm… so this is why I got a different evolution huh; I completed an impossible quest and I had one stat at pinnacle Rank. Come to think of it, if my intelligence was pinnacle Rank that means I was very smart when I was human, I never felt it… But now I'm dumb, I'm sure an average superior primordial human would consider me retarded.

Regardless, I wasn't the only one who completed the impossible quest of killing a Rank 4, if I remember correctly 33,206 people were at Rank 4 when I evolved. What amazes me though, are the evolution missions for humans, how is a human supposed to have all his/her stats at pinnacle Rank before the IP's are released? Isn't that too crazy?

What's worse is that there is a Rank above pinnacle; transcendent. How is a person supposed to get there? And since the quest status is possible, it must mean that someone has completed it, HOW THE HELL DID THE PERSON DO THAT?! CONSIDERING THE TIME LIMIT TOO...

I'm certainly not the strongest person in the world, I can't say even I'm among the strongest 10,000, I really need to get stronger, quick. Especially since there is the ominous bonus information that says every quest has a time limit. It's like the IP is saying this opportunity won't last forever'.

Salam looked at Jade in confusion, he was wondering why Jade was silently staring into space when Jade smiled and said "Thank you, I'll free you now. Leave this city". Jade freed Salam, his loved ones carried him out and Jade went to check on Samira.

She was on the floor, sleeping. Jade told the people in the room "Now that you're done with your revenge, I need you to leave this city". A girl from among the people said "I want to follow you; you saved me from these bustards, I'll do anything to pay you back".

Jade sighed and replied "I helped you get your revenge, but I'm not nice or caring enough to have you following me because you want to pay me back. If you want to pay me back, get stronger, you're far too weak to be of help to me. When you're strong enough, I'll see what you can do to help, OK? Now it's time to leave".

The girl's expression became sullen but she and the rest of the people left the room. Jade carried Samira on his shoulders and left the room after them with the heads of the officials in his hands. He went out of the building he was in and found a crowd waiting, at the entrance of the city center. The guards stood at the front of the crowd wearing their military protective gear.

Jade came into the view of the crowd, when the people saw him, their eyes widened; they couldn't believe what they were seeing. They stared at him in silent disbelief, someone in the crowd said "It's The Stealer" and the crowd started murmuring. Jade dropped the head of the officials down on the floor and said "Leave this city if you want to live".

The crowd's hopes were dashed when they saw the heads, they now knew who started the massacre but now that they saw the heads, they understood; there was no winning against this person.

Some were hesitant and some were willing but all in all, they all to picked up their belongings and left.
