The battle of the bloody rock valley part 9

Markus came to the gravity ship, which landed far enough from the battle. A Phoenician came off the ship. They were a race of beings that inhabited and resided in the Phoenician heaven. They are master sailors and have scoured the universe for millennia.

They could be easily recognized for their blue and almost scaly skin, fish-like tail, and dark eyes. This though was a different looking from the norm. He had mutations around his body and had both his eyes gouged out.

"Markus I presume?" the Phoenician said.

"Yes. This is the ship that is to take us off this world?" Markus asked.

"Yes. My name is Gugi. I am a loyal servant of Caval and have been waiting for his return for years. It seems he deemed you worthy enough to serve him," Gugi said with a disgusting and scarred smile.

Markus then signaled August who walked past Markus. He walked toward Gugi who was terrified of the large frame of August. The brute, August, grabbed Gugi from his head and crushed the head of the Phoenicians like it was a fruit.

Markus turned around and yelled to his men, "Take the ship!"

The men with joyful eyes went on a rampage and claimed the ship. Some Phoenicians who were cultists to the demons were spared as they were forced to be slaves to man the ship.

Mona came, carrying Berig on her back. He got onboard the ship and dropped Berig on the deck.

"What in the bloody fuck are you doing!?" Berig swore.

"You are coming with me. On to a small adventure. Aren't you glad?" Markus explained.

"I am the emperor of the Heian empire. I am the future ruler and currently the most powerful being on Aesis. I will not go anywhere," Berig said in an angry tone.

"What empire. You will be the emperor of ash and rubble," Markus said, "When Dalai has finished off all the soldiers and warriors here, he will move to Nicea and with just a swing of his finger, it will be reduced to rubble. Then he will go and destroy a neighboring country and then to the next, to the next, and so on. So do you honestly want to be an emperor still while THAT is going on?"

Berig was not sure what to say.

"That's what I thought..."

Maxim ran through the bushes and caught up to the black company as they were just about to fly away. His greyhound knights charged the bleak ship like a pack of hunting animals. Maxim quickly climbed up the ship and started to cut his way through the black company soldiers.

With just a quick glance, he saw that Markus was the one in control and the one who had caused the awakening of Dalai.

Markus saw this great knight rushing at him like a divine beast and quickly dragged August in front of him. He again forced his divine power inside August, turning his eyes red with rage.

As Maxim got closer, August struck with his mighty war hammer at the greyhound knight. Maxim blocked the blow with his curved blade but was sent back. August roared and shoved his fellow soldiers aside as he rushed to finish off Maxim. He dodged the hammer and almost destroyed the entire ship with his hammer coming down on the railing.

Maxim used his clawed gauntlet to scratch the face of August and cut August's leg. August kept fighting like a berserker as Maxim turned into a wild beast.

Mona then, with just a nod from Markus, joined the battle. She lunged her long nails into August and Maxim, calming them down. Mona then shoved Maxim off, with five holes in his chest from the nails.

He fell to the floor, and the other greyhound knights quickly disengaged from the fight. Their leader was falling to his death and promptly ran to Maxim.

"Let's get out of here now. The universe still has many places where we are needed," Markus said and ordered his men.

Dalai had the power to control platinum and, with just one small gram in the ground, could move tons of earth with his divinity. For the first time in eight hundred years, a god walked on the surface of Aesis.

"Rufus! We have to get out of here now!" Satifa yelled as Dalai was occupied with destroying both armies.

Rufus looked as if thousands of people had died. The earth shook and bodies littered the face of the earth like grain on a field.

Many grey skins rushed to the god and fell on their knees, foreheads on the ground.

"Our god! We never lost faith in you! Please spare us!" they yelled and pleaded.

Dalai just quickly glanced at them. Then an instant came down, ripped them all apart with immense strength, and made the survivors flee.

"HUMANS! GREY SKINS! WHOMEVER! YOU ALL BETRAYED ME!" Dalai yelled, causing even more panic.

Rufus seeing this went against all logic. Instead of trying to flee. Rufus flew and went to help all he could. He flew into the crater and attempted to grab any soldier, allied soldier, or imperial. To him, it didn't matter anymore.

Rufus used his divine power to cut a tree to make a makeshift bridge between a canyon to help soldiers flee.

"Run!" Rufus yelled.

The soldiers didn't move, and they were too afraid to even breathe. Rufus didn't know what had gotten into them. He then felt like someone was behind him. He turned around and saw Dalai staring at him right behind him.

His pitch-black eyes stared right into Rufus's soul. The god's divine aura was so solid and ferocious that it felt like it was not sapping the air out but hope itself.

The grey skin god lowered himself and looked into Rufus's eyes.

"Who are you?" Dalai said.

Rufus was too scared to talk. His heart beat fast, and his mind went blank.

"I remember meeting one of the first humans when they arrived here in my world. They were guarding a stone. A crystal. It radiated with great power, and all humans worshipped it and took good care of it.

I was sure that this was a weapon. A weapon to destroy my people and, most importantly. ME. It could not have been anything else than a weapon, as I had never felt such a destructive divine aura. A fierce aura that felt like it could break an entire world.

I refused to have such a thing in my world, but the humans refused to destroy it. They said it was their savior. Their prophet. So I did what I had to. I attacked but failed, killed by the strongest humans, forever lingering only thanks to my immense hatred. Immense hatred for that my people had not given their all.

"And now. After centuries. Here in front of me, I sense the same destructive aura. The same thing that led me to my own death," Dalai said while readying to kill Rufus.

Rufus then quickly flew away, luckily able to dodge the attack of the god. Dalai was still faster and flew into the sky and grabbed Rufus by his leg. He shoved him hard to the surface of the earth. Like a heavy rock, Rufus fell to the ground and blood came gushing out of his mouth. He was severely hurt, and almost half of the bones in his body had broken.

Dalai returned to the surface and stepped on Rufus's body, causing him even more pain.

"The mortals who killed me. Are all dead. But still. I have this unrelenting anger. And resentment. And it doesn't matter how many humans or my own traitor people I kill. I still don't feel any better. But I think killing you might feel good," Dalai said while being ready to end him.

Before Rufus could be killed, he was saved when crystals came flying at the mighty god. Dalai looked like he didn't even feel it, but he did stop his initial attack.

Haley was wobbling to save her brother, and she looked weak. Like she had little strength left to use her divine powers.

"Haley, run!" Rufus yelled.

Just by stomping on the ground, Dalai created a crack in the earth where Haley fell down. As Dalai returned to finish Rufus, a more enormous crystal flew at the god. It was Haley who was holding on to the ledge and was able to pull herself up.

"Fine. If you want me to kill you first. I will," Dalai said and walked toward Haley.

Rufus tried to stop the god by creating divine spheres and blowing them point blank, but none were effective. Dalai walked toward Haley, who kept making crystals from thin air and sending them toward the angry god.

Every crystal she manifested was more resistant and bigger than the last. Her hair started to glow as she yelled in forcing her divinity to expand in creating more larger and tougher crystals. Like her divine powers were growing.

As her strength grew, the frustration on Dalai's face was visible.

"Enough!" Dalai yelled and slapped Haley hard and sent him flying against a rock.

Based on how she flew and how hard she was hit, even Rufus would have been killed by the attack.

As Dalai thought he had finally beaten Haley and could go and finish Rufus, the god felt divine power growing behind him. He turned back and saw that it was not Haley's divine powers that expanded, but she was sucking in the divine winds.

"What the hell are you?" Dalai said.
