All In

Masashi walked the streets of Konoha. The sun was shining and the people bustled about.

He made his way to the Civil Affairs Office to turn in his paperwork for acquiring the store.

Both his documents and Haruto's documents will be checked and then the asset will be in his name.

After a little walk, he made his way inside the Hokage Tower.

"Yo, Tadeki-san." He was lucky that the person in front of the counter just left as he didn't have to wait.

"Ah, Masashi-san. What can I do for you?" Kiyomi asked with a smile.

"Here to turn in some paperwork for a property I bought." He reaches into his satchel and pulls out the necessary documents, handing it over to her.

"Oh. Is it for your business?" She knew that he didn't have one yet.

"Yeah, I'll probably open it on Monday. Still have things to do." He responds.

She nodded and typed away at her computer.

"Do you also want me to update the place of address for your business?" She could naturally do it as well.

"Sure." He gave her his ID and she got typing.

After ten minutes or so, she handed back his identification and went to make copies of the paperwork.

She went back to the counter and slid the documents back to him.

"This is for your own records, but that is everything. I'll make sure to come by Monday then." She smiles.

"Sounds good. I'll be at the Open Market until Sunday, there will be new volumes out by then." He laughs before taking his leave.

Leaving the building, he makes his way to his stand.

It was exactly how he left it and began unloading his volumes. He made sure to keep the cards for the prices and placed them accordingly, along with some cutouts as usual propped up in between the volumes. He brought out his paper and a stack of cards along with the same sign to give out their email for updates.

He is going to get as many volumes made as possible and perhaps at lunch he could look around for a gym.

For the next hour, he made 3 more colored second volumes. He also sold five volumes. Three regular volumes 1s and 2 volume 2s.

Soon enough, he was faced with a few known characters that he already met.

Sakura, Ino, Sai, Tenten, and Hinata.

"Ah. Nice to see you again." Masashi welcomed and they nodded.

"Hey, how are the scrolls?" Tenten asked.

Masashi patted his bag.

"They've made things far more convenient. I can't complain." He responds.

"Good. I really enjoyed the first volume, could I get the second?" She asked.

"I also want to check out what Sarada has been reading. She's been obsessed with it." Sakura sighed.

"Same with my little Inojin." Ino already read the first and was ready for the next one.

"Of course." Masashi smiled and gestured to the regular and colored second volumes.

Hinata didn't say much but she wanted to get both of them to at least understand what was being said at dinner, plus she did like it from what little she read from the first volume.

She then noticed the banner at the table.

"Oh, you found a permanent place?" She asked and that caused the others to look.

"Yeah, I've been meaning to get my own shop and I'll be opening on Monday." He nods and they are happy for him.

Sakura picked up the regular first and second volume, Ino got the colored second volume, Sai got the regular and colored second volume, and Hinata picked out the colored first and second volumes.

They left while leaving their emails on the cards for an update for the next volume.

He was about to get back to work when a voice interrupted him.

"Oh wow, so this is what all the rage was about these days." A masked man drolled out with a book of his own.

"Haha! Little Metal has been reading these comics lately!" A man in a wheelchair shouted with youthful energy.

It was naturally Kakashi and Gai.

"I think Naruto called them manga, Gai." He took a look at the volumes.

"Really?! I will do 100 laps on my hands around Konoha for making such a mistake!" Gai looked excited about that though.

"Hmm, you say something?" Kakashi picked up a volume and flipped through it.

"Curse your hip attitude, Kakashi!" Gai also grabbed one with anime tears pouring down his face.

"Anyway, Naruto recommended these trying to break my habit. It seems he'll never learn." Kakashi thought it looked interesting enough so he bought one along with Gai.

It seems Naruto is trying to get him to stop reading Icha Icha.

Masashi thought it'd be cool if he walked around with his manga instead.

Shaking his head, he sat back down and got to work.

For the next 2 hours, he created another 3 colored first volumes and 3 colored second volumes. The commotion by the Sixth Hokage boosted his sales a bit, so he sold about 15 volumes. Two-thirds of that being volume one, and another five of the second volume.

Packing up for lunch, he headed out to one of the few gyms he knew of.

He pulled up to a two-story building with the name, "Land of Weights." Masashi thought it was hilarious and went inside.

As he made his way inside, he saw many cardio-related equipment, but the weight section was even larger.

A fourth of the first floor had cardio, but the rest of the first and second floors had everything weightlifting-related.

"Hey. Are you here to check in?" A clerk by the name of Sasaki asked.

"No. How much is a gym membership here?" He asked with a bit of an unwilling expression.

A gym like this would be expensive, especially with the added fees on top of it.

"Oh, it's 5000ryo a month. Would you like to set one up?" Sasaki asked.

Masashi didn't think that was too bad and especially with all the equipment being very similar to his previous life. There are even multiple of them.

"Alright, and the fees?" This would make or break it because he couldn't spend too much.

"Fees? There are none." Sasaki looked confused before explaining.

Masashi truly thought that this gym was heaven. No fees? Multiple of the same machine so he didn't need to wait? Special fuinjutsu weights? He was immediately sold.

"Alright, how does it work?" He asked with excitement.

"All I would need is your ID to put you into the system. To check in all I would need is your ID. This gym is open from 6 am to 10 pm on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends." He further explained as Masashi nodded.

It may not be as easy as scanning, but it'll be quick enough for his liking. The no fees and the quality of the gym are what sold him anyway.

He handed over his ID and got his card out.

After 10 minutes, everything was set up.

"Would you like to check in now?" He asked but Masashi shook his head.

"I'll be by later." Masashi took his card and ID back.

"Alright, thank you for joining Land of Weights." Sasaki waved which he reciprocated.

"Later." He walked out of the gym and headed back home.

After he made it back to his apartment, he kicked off his shoes and put everything down on the table.

He made himself some ramen which made him think. Masashi really needs to improve his diet especially if he wants to maximum his gains. That, in turn, will help increase his chakra reserves.

What was the go-to bodybuilding meal?

Good old rice and chicken. Masashi was lucky his previous life had experience in cooking other wise he'd be the who one's cooked.

He had to calculate a bit. Chicken breast is about 200ryo a pound and a dozen eggs are 150ryo. Rice is pretty cheap and he did have a cooker which is handy.

Masashi had to be careful while spending since he didn't really have a safety net anymore, but it was also go big or go home.

He didn't really mind looking like a jacked bodybuilder so long as he had enough volumes to meet the demand.

The things he does for coins.

Maybe he will get some protein powder just to full send it. He's lucky that there isn't much inflation at all here otherwise he really couldn't do it.

Masashi was filled with dread about how much he's going to eat but also excited. He may be doing this just for more chakra but training as a bodybuilder will definitely be fun…hopefully.

After looking at his ramen and bottles, he looked at them as if saying farewell to a lover…or two. In this analogy, he is two-timing, which ruins the mood.

He laughs before deciding to have one more day of ramen and sake.

Masashi wouldn't give up entirely on them though. One must also have fun in life, so cutting them out entirely is out of the question.

He decides to head to one of the grocery stores before going back to the stand.

Putting on his shoes and grabbing his wallet, he left everything else at home and walked through the streets.

Finding his way inside the store, he searched the aisles and found a 6-pack of chicken breasts and bought 7 of them. He then bought a carton of eggs. Next, he got a gallon of milk and luckily this store had protein powder.

2500ryo for 65 servings? He yoinked two tubs. That's a steal. Maybe some creatine? He laughed to himself. He doubts he'd find anything like that. Swiping a bag of rice, he was done now.

He went to check out and the bill was 11,250ryo. He can already feel that sting but fuck it we ball.

Masashi could've gotten by with just one tub considering it's 65 servings, but he'd be taking two scoops each shake before his workout.

He wondered how bodybuilding worked here given the nature of chakra, but he'll find out on his own.

After he made his way home, he put everything away before grabbing his satchel again.

It was quite a busy day. Paperwork, selling, gym membership, shopping, and now back to the stand.

Masashi opened the stand once more and got to work.

Another couple hours go by and he created 6 first volumes, 6 second volumes, and 3 Vol.1 Colored.

His sales were pretty nice at 12 volumes. 6 of those being the first volume, 2 first colored, and 4 second volumes.

Deciding to close up shop, he took his volumes along with his email cards and sign. He'll continue to leave up the banners of course.

"Hey wait!" A female voice called to him.

That brought him out of his thoughts as he saw Ayame running at him.

"Yo!" He gave a wave.

"Are you closing?!" She looked panicked.

"Uh…yes?" He was very confused.

"Could I get the second one, pleaseee." She gave her best puppy eyes at him.

Not that he would have refused either way. Money was money.

He got a volume out of his sealing scroll.

"Thanks! I'll let you know tomorrow." She ran off.

Masashi was tempted to laugh because he could clearly see that she would agree considering her reaction.

He made his way back home once again and put everything down.

Next, he cooked up some rice and chicken. Masashi naturally didn't forget the shake.

Once everything was done, he grabbed a plate and dished everything up.

Taking out the laptop, he made more volumes in between bites. He was only able to make 1 second volume before he finished everything including the shake.

He cleaned up and washed everything before going to the gym.

Masashi arrived at the gym once more and saw the same clerk inside.

"Ah, ready to check in?" Sasaki asked.

Masashi smiled.

"Yes."

May 23rd, 2024 Update: Hey. I'm sure you all know that I haven't posted anything in the last few days, and I'm sorry to say that this story will be postponed indefinitely.

I could make excuses, but at the end of the day, I just lost interest. In actuality, I haven't written anything in almost a week since I had some chapters saved up.

I may return to this story one day, but it won't be any time soon.

That doesn't mean I won't be writing, but it won't be a Naruto or Boruto story.

I plan on making a One Piece fanfic, but I want to stockpile some chapters before posting.

I appreciate all the support and I'm not sure if anyone reads these anyway.
