Chapter 15

    The weekend was over and it was Monday. At school, during class. I excused myself to the bathroom. While I was washing my hands, Amber and her friends barged in and dragged me all the way to basketball court. Amber walked over to me. 

     "Hi Amelia, long time no see. I see haven't taught you a lesson in a while. You are becoming more and more bold lately. You are a pain in the neck you know. I expected you to live a quiet and pathetic life but you turned out to be a gold digger." I looked at her confused. What is she talking about now? 

     "Amber look, I don't know what you are talking about. I have to go to class so please let me go." Then Amber slapped me across the face twice. 

     "Hey witch, don't forget your status here. I have been too nice to you. I haven't even told anyone your true nature. You are just a pathetic witch. Your parents abandoned you because you were an embarrassment and bad luck. You have provoked me enough. Tell me where you were on Saturday. Tell me now and don't you dare lie to me." 

      I froze. 'Does she already know I work in a dance studio? This is bad.'  "I have no idea what you are talking about. You knew I went to get your assignment done. That's all." 

     She slapped me again and threw me on the ground. "You are still lying even when I told you not to. A friend of mine saw you with the Alcott brothers near a restaurant. You were even holding takeouts. How dare you. You are even playing the two brothers. I really want to beat you up right now with my two hands and ruin that stupid face of yours but I have a better idea." Then she shouted. "Boys!!!" Four boys came out from nowhere and grabbed me, pinning me to the wall. 

     I struggled to free myself and shouted. "LET GO OF ME!!!, Amber what's all this? Tell them to let go right now. Please." Amber scoofed "Since you like to seduce men I got you four. You should be grateful. I told them to treat you really nice. They will take care of you so don't worry." 

      Then her and her minions left the room laughing while I cried, shouting and begging for them to let me go. "Please, let me go. I beg you, please." One of the boys held face. "Hey girl, don't bother screaming. No one can hear you. Let us finish what we came to do and get out of here or else." 

       Then another one took my shirt and tore it, exposing my undergarment. I screamed and began to cry, closing my eyes. He was about to unzip my pants when I heard a loud thud. When I opened my eyes. I saw the other three men on the ground badly injured. I shifted my gaze and saw a really beautiful girl standing behind the man that tore my clothes. Then she grabbed him by the collar and threw me away like a piece of garbage. 

      The four boys quickly stood up and ran away like cowards. I looked at my savior. She was really pretty, almost like an angel. I was still recovering from the shock when she approached me. 

      "Are you alright? Did they hurt you?" I shook my head. Then she sighed and gave me a sweater which I wore immediately. "Thank God. If I had come any late then they might have gotten away with it. Anyways, what's your name?" 

     I wiped my tears and gathered enough strength to talk. "T-Thank you so much. If it weren't for you I would have been in big trouble. My name is Amelia Jones." 

    The girl put her hands on her mouth and gasped. "You are Amelia? Wow, I had always wanted to meet you. My name is Caroline Alcott by the way. I think you have heard of me from my brothers and sister." 

     I gasped. "Y-You are Axel's and Ares's sister?" she smiled. "Yeah. Thanks for helping me with the assignment. You seem really close to my brothers and sister. Especially Catherine. She couldn't stop talking about you."

    "Thank you so much. I will never forget what you have done for me. Is there anyway I can repay you?"

     Caroline scratched the back of her head. "You have helped me with my assignment already but to be honest there is one thing I want you to do for me." 

     I took her hand and looked at her with a determined face. "If it is within my capability then I will do it. Just tell me." 

      "Okay, the thing is I need a tutor, if I don't get my grades up, I would get into big trouble. I could hire one but some are old, some are really rude and some are not even that smart. So I was thinking maybe you could be my tutor. I heard you are the top student in the school and you look like the perfect tutor for me. So can you? Please. I can pay you."

      She saved me and it won't be a problem for me to tutor her at all but I don't know if I will have the time. "Of course I will be happy to tutor you and you don't need to pay me for it but my schedule is really tight. I don't know if I would have time to tutor you." 

      She smiled. "That's not a problem. We can do it during lunch break and I will transfer to your class incase there is a free period too. We can start tomorrow." 

      I nodded then smiled. "One more thing."  Caroline continued. "I need a friend who is not after my money and has no evil intentions. Catherine told me a lot about you and I think you are that person I need here. Someone that could even get the attention of my two dumb brothers and friends is really special."

     I quickly shook my head. No, it's not like that, we are just friends. Nothing else. Pls don't misunderstand. If you truly want to be friends with me then I won't refuse you." I didn't know if I was making a mistake but I just felt like it was the right thing to do. Caroline chuckled. Then she smiled and nodded. 

     we heard the bell. I was about to get on my feet when I felt a sharp pain on my leg. It seems I really hurt my knees and ankles badly when I was being tossed around and beaten. My face was still reddened and throbing with pain from Amber's slap. 

      Caroline put my arm on her shoulders to assist me. "I think we should get you to the school nurse first." 

     I nodded in agreement we headed to the infirmary.

     When we got to the infirmary. I laid on the bed after the nurse gave me some drugs and left. Caroline sat next to me. I told her not to bother but she insisted on staying.

     Moments later, Ares, Max and Blake barged in. 

      "Amelia are you alright? We heard you were in the infirmary so we rushed here. What happened?" Ares said. The boys finally noticed Caroline. 

       "Oh Caroline, you are here." Caroline smiled in an annoyed manner. 

        "Glad you finally noticed. This place is stuffy, you guys should get out." Amelia held Caroline hands and sat upright. "Caroline, I told you I'm fine. I can walk now. Besides, you and I have to get to class."  

        Max walked over to Caroline. "Caroline what happened?" Before she could speak Axel walked in. "Aghh, what are all of you doing here? I planned to take a nap here today." 

       Caroline got angry and threw a scissors at him but he effortlessly dodged it. 

     "Are you blind? Amelia is hurt and that is all you have to say?" Caroline said. His gaze shifted to Amelia. 

     "What happened to you now? Why is trouble always following you?" Axel said leaning against the wall. As much as Amelia wanted to insult him, she knew he was right. She had always been unlucky from birth. The only good thing that ever happened to her was gone and that was her father. Memories of the incident and how she was almost raped came rushing to her mind. Tears came rushing out of her eyes without her knowing. 

     "It's not my fault. I never wanted any of this to happen." 

     Caroline hugged her. "Amelia it's okay. No need to cry anymore." Then she looked at Axel furiously. "You are really a fool. You want to know what happened to her right? Some guys tried to force themselves on her and I happened to pass by." 

      Amelia wiped her tears and straightened herself up. "I am alright. I just got a little scratch. That's all." Amelia assured. 

     Axel walked over to her and held her face. "Who did this?" He asked. Referring to the bruises on her face. Amelia kept quiet. Caroline gasped. 

     "Amelia, did they hit you? I should have beaten them more. How can they hit a girl?" I quickly shook my head. 

    "No it wasn't them. They weren't the ones that hit me. It was someone else." 

     Caroline suddenly realized something. "I saw some girls on my way before I went to the room. Some of them are in my class. I think a girl named Amber was there. Was it perhaps them?" 

      I remained silent. Axel clenched his fist. "Caroline, Max. I need to talk to you." After saying that he walked out. 

     Caroline left Amelia and followed Max and Axel out of the infirmary. "Why would those girls want to harm Amelia?" Caroline asked. 

     "One of those girls is her cousin. Her name is Amber. She bullied Amelia several times before. I don't know why she would hate Amelia to this extent though." Max explained. 

      "We are going to teach them a lesson." Ares who came out of nowhere said. Blake joined soon. 

      Axel faced Caroline. "You should continue to watch over Amelia and make sure no one bullies her. She's too soft and does nothing when she is bullied." Caroline nodded and went back to the room. 

      He faced Ares and Blake. "You guys can deal with those idiots that tried to force themselves on Amelia but make sure you don't kill anyone."

      Ares scoofed. "Do you need to tell me before I do it? I was gonna do it anyways but what are you going to do?" 

     Axel smirked and faced Max. "We are gonna have fun with some girls. Let's go." Saying that he left.
