"Is she alright?"

"She has blood lost, but I see no further damage "

"Thank goodness!"

I could hear the faint voice more clearly now, squeezing my eyes for a second before opening it.

"Princess!"

"How do you feel?"

Elinna and Doctor Edgar were looking at me. Elinna had a worried expression while the doctor had a serious one, I wanted to sit-up, but, the pain suddenly courses through my arm.

The doctor told me to stay still and lie down.

"Princess, don't move too much!" Elinna tells me

"Why is my arm aching?" I ask

"The lion cub bit your arm, in order for you to wake up"

"Was it hungry or something?" I looked at Fries my eyebrows creasing

"Holy Beast, do not eat your highness, it feeds off of the psych energy of the holder of the prophecy"

"Is that so?"

"Meow!"

"Where are we, by the way?"

"This is the final town that we will pass by before we reach the capital"

"How many days has it been since I was asleep?"

"You were out cold for fifteen hours, thankfully you woke up now"

"That's good, at least I didn't wake up three days or a week after, that's messed up"

"You will have complications if that happens, it is a good thing that you have rested and your body is adapting to this world, apart from that, the holy beast is giving you support, a remedy of sorts to your anaemia"

"It's being remedied, how?"

"If I explain it to you, you won't understand"

"Then make it understandable" I stated to him like it was the most obvious thing in the world

"You have anaemia, but that doesn't mean that you lack, white blood cells like a normal human have" he started explaining

"So, is it a special kind?"

"Yes" he nods "it is incurable, but it has beneficiary"

"I benefit from it?"

"On the contrary, your highness" he sat beside Elinna who was also listening to him "the people in this world is the one, that benefits from it"

"I don't understand"

"This is why I told you, that if I explain you wouldn't understand"

"I still want to know!"

"Alright" he nods "your anaemia, 'sickness' is inborn already, why? you are supposedly a vampire in your early stages of development inside your mother's womb"

"Are you saying the truth?!" I said in disbelief

"Yes" he nods "you had complications since the power of the prophecy, is being passed down to you, your development in becoming a vampire halted, and the requirements of being a prophecy holder is being"

"Human," I said in realization

"It seems you understand after all" the doctor smirks "you became human, but that doesn't mean that your development being a vampire disappeared"

"That means?"

"Despite being a human, you have the blood of a vampire mixed with your human blood" I looked at my hands "your vampire blood is eating away your human blood, the two different blood types are having conflict inside your body making you weak, the vampire blood that flows in your veins contain your supposed vampire powers, while the human blood contains the power of the prophecy"

"That's amazing! You are very powerful if that's the case, your highness" Elinna says

"In reality, your 'anaemia' is a power imbalance, and that imbalance is a miraculous cure for incurable diseases and an antidote to all poison, hence you are a cure-all, the little holy beast is treating your anaemia by balancing both of your powers inside you, by absorbing the excess power of the prophecy"

"So...if for example, someone is going to hunt me, knowing that kind of information? How much am I?"

"The Whole continent isn't enough as payment, your highness, that is how valuable you are, your whole existence and your blood is a valued treasure, that is beyond the normal value"

"So if I make a living out of my blood maybe, I won't have to worry about being broke"

I said being occupied in my thoughts, the doctor chuckled and Elinna looked at me with worry

"I was just kidding you two"

"It will not go well if you sold yourself your highness, the one that will buy you will get executed on the spot, so you better watch what you are jesting" I grimaced "now, why don't you rest-"

"No!" I shouted

"Princess?"

"I don't want to sleep again, I want to go to the toilet and then venture out before we leave! I want to see what this town is like" my eyes caught something moving "what is that?" I leaned forward careful to not apply pressure on my arm that got bitten by Fries

"You have been floating objects after you collapsed your highness"

"I did?"

"Yes, you literally lifted the whole escort to the town of Lux, everyone saw and felt the harsh intensity of the psych energy you gave off that everyone locked themselves away from their house frightened at the power you've shown"

"That means that the whole town is literally close?"

"Yes"

"The only thing that is open is commander Alfonso's Mansion"

"M-Mansion?"

Now that the doctor mentioned it, I was in a fancy bedroom, not your ordinary bedroom inn, I sat up with the help of Elinna.

"The commander didn't have a choice but to invite everyone in his home"

"I should thank him, but first I need to use the toilet"

"Your highness, please halt your powers, you are no longer in mortal danger"

"I don't know how," I said to the doctor

"Let me help you to the toilet, your highness" Elinna offers

Carefully getting out of bed, Elinna supporting me to the toilet, when we arrived, I told Elinna that I can go by myself, she bows, leaving me to my own devices,

I sat down on the cold toilet, and relieved myself, the objects that were floating around suddenly dropped, loud noises could be heard outside the bathroom.

"Your highness!"

Panic voices outside called out for me, maybe since I just woke up, I was still tense from the ordeal? now that I'm wide awake, the tension has dissipated...

"What happened to her highness?!"

"Is she safe?"

"Lady Elinna!"

"I can't take a dump with all the shouting, I need to concentrate"

"Everyone! Calm down!" Elinna started "her highness is inside the toilet, she is not harmed, she is safe, your worry is not needed"

"Way to go" I mumbled listening to what's happening outside

"All of you can go, so that her highness, may relieve herself in peace"

"We apologise"

"Julius overreacted!"

"Commander Alfonso!"

"You did raise a ruckus, Julius"

"C-Commander Raulyn too?!"

I heard the Knights teasing the squire, the voices finally toned down.

"Everyone is worrying, your highness"

"Lucky me, huh?" I said with a little sarcasm

"Don't be like that" Elinna says

After I finished, I exited the bathroom. Elinna still supported me even though I felt fine already, she leads me inside the room.

"Welcome back your highness, I see that you finally got your powers to stop"

"I still don't know how this works"

"You will manage to use your powers in due time"

"Are you hungry princess?"

"Uh, no I want some alone time right now, can you two, give me a bit of privacy?"

"Yes! Of course"

"As you wish"

The two left me inside the room, there was a veranda to the left of the room, I wanted fresh air and since everyone will freak out if I went outside this will do.

"Wow" I looked up and the stars are still amazing like the first time I've seen it, it's like the stars are a natural light source twinkling in the sky "breathtaking"

I'm never going to get tired looking at the sky, but now that I noticed the horizon is dark, and since it's facing the backyard, the forest looks like something is going to jump out-

"Hm?" I squinted my eyes to see better in the dark forest "is that a person?" It looks like there's a silhouette standing at the front entrance of the forest or is my eyes playing tricks on me?

"Meow?" I look down for a brief moment to look at Fries then looked again, the silhouette is now moving forward

"No way, I'm going to find out what that moving thing is," I said, turning towards the veranda door, I went inside the room again.

"Meow?"

"I know, there's a lot of, weird creatures in this world Fries, and I don't want to find out whether that wants harm on me or not"

I said talking to Fries, it looked beside tilting its head.

"Fries, stop it okay? I'm freaked out already" I said laughing nervously, I looked at my peripheral vision.

"Don't move" the person says in a husky voice.

Judging by the voice it's a man, he was a hooded figure, approximately 6 ft. tall, I gulped fear already taking over me.

"...Aa" I was about to scream when he stepped in front of me, with a shushing gesture, of course, I looked up since he was tall

"You don't want something to happen with your little cub right?"

"F-Fries?" he points at his side, my eyes widen at Fries, floating inside a bubble, Fries isn't moving "what have you done to it?" my brows creased at the person

"The cub is asleep," he says

"Who are you?" I said my voice full of suspicion

He steps forward bringing a hand in front of me, I readied myself if he was going to do something or hurt me but my expectation of being attacked didn't happen.

"The proper opportunity of you being mine will soon arrive"

He caressed my cheek using the back of his hand, I flinch at his touch, closing my eyes looking away.

I don't know who this person is, but he is giving me the creeps, I couldn't see his face since he lowered his face so that the hood could hide it, of course, what use is a hood if it also couldn't hide someone's face.
