12 The Royal Meeting
Emperor Cailum POV;
I am going to start by introducing myself, before anything else.
I am Cailum Agathangelos Allerick Armaclei.
The younger brother of Eric and the uncle of Lucianus and Seraphine, I also have my children.
Crown Prince Aeilus Laurent Armaclei and Princess Phoebe Petunia Myrtaceae Aislinn Armaclei.
My son is currently on a mission and my dear daughter is bed-ridden. Day in and day out I have worried about my daughter's failing health because of her condition.
But the Imperial Doctor has sent me a letter that states my niece Seraphine who recently arrived is a cure.
Her blood specifically. Doctor Edgar said in the letter that with the right tools he can dilute Seraphine's blood and make it a cure-all.
But making her come here to the capital is easier said than done her brother Lucianus is being stubborn, he is not allowing her to come here.
But if she does decide to come here I just hope that she'd cooperate with us to cure my daughter.
"Your Majesty?"
I wasn't listening to what my chancellor said, I gave a long hum pretending to think
"You weren't listening were you...?"
He says annoyed I gave an awkward laugh at him and apologized
"It's best to keep your focus your Majesty, the Kings and Queens are waiting for your decision on this matter"
That's right. I am the Emperor of this empire and I command every other Kingdom and Queendom in Celestia Continent.2
My orders are absolute and no one can defy me, but I've questioned my leadership all this time, when Eric was still here he was the ideal King our Father has shaped him, I am a stowaway Prince after all.
But Eric's mischievous and naughty ways ended in him abandoning the title of King, and I had no choice but to succeed the throne, I never hated my brother since the both of us had a camaraderie with each other,
He also told me first that he was going to abandon his title as Crown Prince for Arianrhod so that they can peacefully be together.
But I got overwhelmed with the duties and responsibilities that I never thought I would have been King, everyone here in the palace all guided me on how I run things, but my subjects would ultimately carry out the work for me.
I would just make the order commanding them around, after a while, the palace felt empty despite the people working here the Chancellor arranged a marriage for me, but I declined.
I met my wife at war when she was about to be slaughtered by the people of the Star Queendom.
Before this Empire became united there were inner conflicts, but when the Ophiuchus Empire attacked we all stood as one and defended our land,
The Kings and Queens' came into an agreement to hail me as Emperor to become their leader commanding them and everyone else.
"You want me to make a decree to have my niece be engaged to you King Kristopherson?"
"It is beneficial for us to strengthen our Empire with a union by marriage, similar to the Sun and Moon Kingdom once"
He explains. He's still so young, and yet he already experienced the hardship of becoming King and War, everyone here in this private Royal meeting has already shed and spilt blood staining their hands.
"And by doing that the Ophiuchus Empire would be more cautious in planning their attack"
Indeed, the union by the marriage of the Sun and Moon Empire has stirred that Empire and by the way, Arianrhod, my niece's mother is the princess of the Moon Kingdom.
The goal of Eric being married to Arianrhod is to strengthen the Kingdom's power but before that happened the Sun and Moon Kingdom1 weren't on good terms
But times have changed and my father and the Moon Kingdom's King decided upon a truce to raise power, but then they fled to another world,
The Moon Kingdom's King died of a heart attack not taking the news lightly and father got enraged over Eric's action he was already old and dying and the true successor just went and gone like that.
It was a mess the day they fled, and it was also their marriage ceremony, now that I think about it Eric was reckless
"That would be my proposition in this matter your Majesty, and the other Kingdoms and Queendoms doesn't have any objections in the matter of my proposal"
"..." I gave him a stern look "your proposal isn't that bad, but it isn't good either"
"Your Majesty?"
"I would like to agree but Seraphine only recently arrived here. She doesn't know how this world works, and I do not think that she would easily accept an arranged marriage. I need to consider her situation first before I can completely agree with you. Secondly, my daughter as you may have already known is bedridden, so she is not an option either King Kristopherson"
I do not want my daughter married right away, she needs to experience falling in love at her own pace.
She's been asleep for almost her entire life already at least when she wakes up she can have the freedom to do what she wants and choose the person she will marry.
"Then isn't my proposition of marrying her highness Seraphine more agreeable?"
"What do you mean King Kristopherson?"
"Her highness Seraphine does not have knowledge that means she needs guidance, I can offer my knowledge and guidance to her as her husband"
Do young people these days just rush marriage like this? They aren't even married yet, and he is already proclaiming that his a husband to my niece.
"You haven't even met yet King Kristopherson"
"I do not care what her appearance is what matters to me is I marry into the Armaclei Family"
"That is quite a bold proclamation King Kristopherson"
The Queen of the Star Queendom says. I agree with her. Why does he want to join the Armaclei Family so badly?
Wait. Now that I recalled,
The nobles scorn King Kristopherson since he doesn't accept the proposals and the noble daughters offered to him,
His situation is similar to mine but no one forced me to marry unlike him so maybe this is his choice to marry into the Armaclei Family to show the nobles, unbending will to bow down to them.
"And since she's the Holder of the Prophecy her safety and security will be much more secured when she marries me"
"Alright, Alright" I raised a hand for him to stop
Since he insists on this, and I know now why he wants to marry into the Armaclei Family now I guess I should agree, but I honestly don't want my niece to immediately hate me when we first meet…
"I promise I will take very good care of her"
"Marriage is binding King Kristopherson you can't spit the food out even if it's still hot you need to accept and swallow it wholeheartedly"
"I understand"
"Alright, I will announce your engagement along with her formal coronation as the Crowned Princess of the Sun Empire"
"Thank You. Your majesty"
"When will you announce the coronation and engagement, your majesty?" The Queen of the Terra Queendom asked.
"When she arrives here. Three days from now on" I told them "Now let's discuss the state of affairs of your Kingdoms and Queendoms"
The problems are still the same.
Terra Queendom still has a never-ending drought. The Star Queendom still has lightning problems. The Sky Kingdom still has dark poison fog surrounding it and the Sun Empire is having famine. And to top it all officials are being corrupt especially Barons and Marques.
The only thing that can solve the problems of the Kingdoms and Queendoms is my niece but is she capable of this...?
I'm resolving the issue about the corrupt officials uprooting them, but it's tricky to find evidence. Although the Viscounts and the Earl's are helping me they as well find it rather troublesome finding evidence to present to me.
And being a vampire that has a high psych level is not helping at all, but at least Lucianus is getting somewhere in his investigation about this he had evidence sent to me and I approved bestowing the punishment death by execution of that Baron.
In the End. I just hope my niece would easily accept the responsibilities that she has in this world.
