A Reminder Before the Festival

As she arrived, their room was still ecstatic about the upcoming event.

"Have you heard Scream Band will be performing this coming festival?"

"Yeah, I can't wait to personally meet them. I've heard they are an alumni, so they voluntered to participate this year."

"I never thought they will be here, I'm a big fan of them"

And so on, which made Mandy out of place since she does not know who they were talking to. Good for them they grow up to the place and know everything, if only she could have someone who could tell her about everything. But well maybe eventually, soon enough she would slowly know everything in the place.

But right now she was thankful enough she was accepted in the committee she chosen.

Days passed quickly, there's only three days before the festival, Mandy tried to do her best for the upcoming event. She was doing well in the work assigned for her. Along with the days passed, she meet the other members, which she thought they would shun her but turns out they do not care who she is and gladly welcomed her. Maybe from the reason that they rarely have new members in the group. From time being they were posting the pamplets and attaching the final decoration for the event. Mandy was posting the posters of the activities of the event.

"Breaktime guys" she heard from the nearby member of the group.

"That's what I liked to hear"

"Oh is it? I haven't realized the time"

"Yeah, coz' you're too engrossed with the work"

"Yeah right" *sarcastically*

"Where's the snacks?"

"Here guys, take yours"

"Thanks"

Mandy was watching the other members gathering to get their snacks and have their break. As she watched everything they worked on the place, she smiled. She never imagined how they changed the place.

"Mandy, here's yours" Grace gave Mandy's share, since they have the same taste so she pick the same as hers.

"Hoh, just a little bit more were finally be done" Grace who enjoyed her snack.

"Yeah, seeing how things works just right for the event, we really done our jobs very well" Mandy feels happy for the first time she came on the place. She never thought she would finally enjoy being with other creature preparing for the upcoming festival.

"I kinda like the concept and the flow of the activities too. Since after this preparation, we would finally have our free time for the fiestival. I can't wait for that day to come" Grace who's one also expect to enjoy all the activities that will be held in the festival. She's one of the member who really did many ptoductive things on the event, that includes participating in each contest. Even if she did not win most of it, she just let herself emerse from it and enjoy the contest. That's why most of the creatures knows her.

"I really admire you Grace, where did you gather all that courage of yours? Every year you do the same." Chris who just arrived and join them. He fold his four knees and sat beside them.

"Don't listen to him Grace, he don't know how to enjoy life. So don't worry I'll always be supporting you"Julie who sat across them in the round table.

"I hope you will finally win Grace, I'll be watching and support you" Heart who tries to encourage Grace.

"Thanks guys, this time I will really try to win. " Grace who was convincing herself.

"Anyway, what is the contest you'll be entering now?" Chris asked, which Mandy also wondered what kind of competition it is.

"Haha, you'll be shocked when you hear it" she smirked and wipe her nose, acting cool.

"Then what is it?" Julie pipe in, excited.

"None other than, the relay marathon event"

"What? But it's a group event contest." Chris looked at grace wierdly, Grace just grinned widely at her.

"Well, I've been entering solo contest ever since, so this time I decided to be different. Since most of you guys are just watching, why not join me and enjoy the event" She look at each of them expecting some respond from them.

"But the marathon I've heard, they put difficulty task this time."

"Add to that, most of the athletic monsters will be participating, there's a little chance for us to win" Chris informed them.

"Don't be a downer guys. As what I've said, lets enjoy the event no matter what happen. Don't be easily intimidated with them." Grace stated to them.

"Well, I know you already registered us Grace, so there's no turning back now, right?" Julie as if she knows already the plan of Grace.

"What? You already did? You did not ask for our permission to do that." Chris who wants to oppose.

"If it's Grace decision, I have no objection." Heart gave in on Grace scheme. As Mandy heard what they've said, she realize she's also part of Grace plan since most of them looked at her direction waiting for her answer. Mandy could only sigh at their action, she gave up on making excuses to not join from it.

"Ok, you got me in too." she raised her hand and bowed her head slightly while closing her eyes, as if she was defeated by them. That made the girls rejoice from it, while Chris shake his head from the silly act of his friends.

After the break, they went back to their work. Mandy was on her way to return some of the materials used to their office, when four shadows slowly approached her way. She stop and look at them, she was not surprised to see them.

"Looks like you're enjoying with them" Vanisa was crossing her arms, while tapping her right arm with her index finger.

"Mandy, its been a long time haven't seen you. It's look like you've been busy for the upcoming festival." Drake said to Mandy. Falcon and Selena have their own world. Selena was holding a shinny marble, while Falcon was texting in his phone.

"Anyway we're just here to warn you in this upcoming event, since most of us have some duty to attend. Don't make any more scene when the day comes, the past event concerning you was enough, before things gets complicated." Vanisa stated before she signaled them to go.

Mandy was left hanging there and thought back what she really is. She mostly forgot who she is, she's not yet known she was once a human and was trying to be with them. After several minutes she came back to her senses and found herself back to the office. She piled back the now organized place, which she works so hard to pile neatly the things on the place.
