Chapter 33

The anxious gaze of the girl lingered on her friend's face, minutely observing the changes in her expression. Her breathing was extra deep and unsteady. 

To put it bluntly, Mary is starting to succumb under the shadows of her worries. She likes Cara but recently she couldn't help but regret certain things. She now regrets tagging along with her friend going to her parent's village in the countryside, partly because she got into an argument with her mom. 

Three months ago, the result of their College Entrance Examinations was released, and both of them were accepted into their dream university. Her friend's parents were so overjoyed that they even called for her to go home and celebrate her acceptance in their home province. 

However, unlike them, her parents especially her mom, were not as thrilled due to the course she applied for. She was very upset and sad.
