Kione let out a sinister laugh. "I am no witch for you to assume such, and I have done enough, haven't I? Your demise would give me no gain." He threw the question back at Azrael.

Indeed, Kione has done a lot for him concerning Ms. Bronte. It was because of him that he could keep her alive and hope to catch the witch.

Kione glanced over his shoulder. "You are willing to die for her?"

There was a short silence. "If I must." Azrael uttered shortly.

The vampire tsked. "Could you not at least live for her instead?" Kione turned to him, and his eyes shifted to Katherine. Azrael noticed the dark smoke that surrounded her fade away. And the vampiress' eyes closed, falling back to sleep.

"The witch had weakened the curse by making her come alive. It is useless searching for the witch or another witch, for that matter."

"I can't. Do I let her perish now?"

"If you wish." Kione shrugged nonchalantly.
