SERA's POV

"So you came back without telling me?" Xu Je'er squinted at me. "You didn't even let me prepare some sort of welcome party!" she complained. "And you didn't give me any souvenirs."

"Actually, I did. I just forgot to bring it. I haven't unpacked my clothes yet." Exhausted and drained, I immediately fell asleep the moment I arrive at Chris's house.

Xu Je'er looked at me without hiding the displeasure in her face. She furrowed her beautiful brows. "And… are you going to tell me about this 'family vacation'?" she asked.

"It's a long story. To make it short. My grandfather died. There were some… disputes about money." I was partially telling the truth.

"And?" she folded her arms across her chest.

"I won. I receive a few properties."
