Chapter 2

After I put down my diary, I started searching for a place to hide it. In the end, I just threw it under my bedside table. I threw it under just as the door opened, so I jumped on the bed and smiled.

"Hi! My name's Allie, nice to meet you-oh, it's you."

"Hello, Allison."

It was Miss Adams, and behind her were a couple of girls who I assumed were my room mates.

"This is Brittany Taylor"

Miss Adams pointed at a girl with long wavy dark brown hair and green eyes, who was wearing a dark green crop top with a pair of ripped jeans and white trainers. She had a mixed skin colour, quite dark but not quite black. A light brownish colour.

Then Miss Adams pointed to a girl with short, shoulder-length blond hair and violet eyes. She had quite pale skin, a sort of pale peach/white colour. She was wearing a red crop top with a yellow musical note on it, and a pair of navy leggings with red musical notes running down the sides. She had a black Quaver music note hair clip keeping her fringe back, and she had a pair of black trainers with white music notes across them.

"And this, is Melody Parker"

I smiled politely and held my hand out.

"Nice to meet you Melody, Brittany"

Brittany frowned at me and held out her hand for a second before pulling it back. Melody looked at me suspiciously, but sighed and shook my hand. I grinned and Melody looked away angrily.

"Well, where are we supposed to sleep?! Show us!" Brittany demanded. I frowned and pointed over to the bed furthest from mine (luckily, phew)

"That one over there, and Melody, yours is right there next to it"

"Thank you, I guess" Melody muttered, walking over to her bed. I sat down on mine awkwardly and waited as they unpacked.

Just then, the 3rd school Bell rang. I smiled at my room mates and said "hey, do you wanna go and find our common room?"

Melody and Brittany looked at each other and nodded. I grinned and we walked down the stairs until we saw a sign on the door that read 'Strings Common Room'

We walked in and . . . Well, it was amazing!

The floor was a dark shade of brown, and there was a light pink circular mat in the centre of the room. There were 3 red sofas and a white table on the mat, a chatting area probably.

In the corner nearest the mat (the right corner furthest away from the door), there were a few built in bookshelves. There was also a purple armchair and tall lamp for reading.

Then, in the left corner furthest from the door, there was a small stage for performances. There was a lighting board in front of it, so when we put on shows and stuff, it'll be really realistic! There was also a piano and a CD Player on the stage, although they can both be removed for shows.

In the corner on the right side of the door, there was a recording studio. Yes, an actual recording studio!! That way all of the Year 7 strings can record something together! It's so cool.

Then in the corner on the left side of the door, there's a disco floor! There's a switch that makes the whole floor light up! There's a small TV built in the wall! And there's a pile of Just Dance wii games next to it! There's even Just Dance Disney Party 1 & 2!!

It's amazing! There's even a balcony! Our common room is on the second floor, so we can't just walk out the doors. But we have a really fancy looking balcony with a porch swing and everything!

Probably the best common room EVER!!

I was about to ask Melody and Brittany if they wanted to do Just Dance, but I turned around and they were gone. So instead I decided to sit down and only speak if someone spoke to me.

The same girls from earlier, the blonde, brunette and black haired girls, walked up to me and snickered. The blonde one walked stood directly in front of me.

"Well, well, well, I was right after all. I told you guys she looked like a dork. I mean, just look at her hair. So dorky, right Annabel?"

The black-haired girl, Annabel, nodded shyly.

"Y-yeah, she's, like, so ugly and dorky. Just look at her shoes! Ew, so NEVER"

I sighed and put down the book I was reading, I fake smiled at them.

"Hi, my name's Allie Crossford. Can I help you at all?"

The blonde glared at me again and then spoke in a posh voice.

"My name is Charlotte-Rose Amies, this is Annabel Goslar, and this is Sandra Davies. And no, we were just discussing your outfit"

I smiled politely and surprised myself with what came out next.

"Okay, well if you're done will you please do me a favour and move your bitchy discussion somewhere away from me so I can read, I'm in the middle of a very interesting book so go away"

They glared at me and walked off, however I heard Annabel giggling a few seconds later.

I sat in the reading corner for a few minutes before someone walked over to me.

I looked up and noticed that she had short, curly hair and glasses. She was wearing a black T-Shirt that said 'Music is a lot like reading, they both involve concentration, dedication and skill' and a pair of navy leggings with purple musical notes going down them. She smiled and I saw she had braces.

"Hi! I'm Argentina France, but I hate that name so you can call me Aggie! or Agatha if you have to"

"Hi, Aggie!" I replied happily. I felt a rush of excitement. Was I making my first friend at Ensemble Academy?! "Yeah, I get that. My real name is Allison but that sounds too fancy so I've always gone by Allie"

"Hey! Allie and Aggie? They sound so similar!"

Aggie slipped her arm through mine and grinned.

"I have a feeling we're going to become good friends Allie"

I smiled at her just as the 4th bell rang. The bell was right above me and Aggie's heads, so it was extra loud to us. I rubbed my ear as Aggie said jokingly "I am never going to get used to that. Ever"

I laughed and said "hey, do you maybe wanna sit together at dinner?"

"Sure! I mean, we're Allie and Aggie. The A-Team! I want to really get to know you! You seem really cool! Hey, do you wanna have a sleepover soon. Obviously we're not supposed to on the first night but I might not be here for long so, 9pm. Tonight?"

"Omg yes I would love to!"

"Great! My room or your room?"

"How about my room? Since they're the same though, I don't mind."

"Ok, sure. Your room. I'll sneak in at 8:15."

"I thought you said 9?" I asked, confused. Aggie laughed.

"I did, but I forgot on the first night everyone goes to bed at 8."

"Oh yeah! Of course!"

Suddenly the bell rang and I nodded towards the door.

"Do you still wanna sit together?"

Aggie grinned and reached over. She linked her arm in mine and started walking towards the door, pulling me with her.

"Yep, let's go Allie."

When we got to the dining room I gasped. It was set out like the Great Hall in the Harry Potter film series.

There were 4 long tables spread out around the room, going from the entrance to the end of the room. Above each table there was a sign hanging, reading 'Strings', 'Brass', 'Woodwind', and 'Vocals'.

Me and Aggie immediately headed over to the Strings Table, and sat down next to Brittany and Melody, who stared at us. Charlotte-Rose, Sandra and Annabel were sat opposite us and they groaned, Annabel just smiled and looked away. I ignored them again.

"Melody, Brittany. This is Aggie. Aggie, these are my dormmates, Melody Parker and Brittany Taylor."

"Nice to meet you!" Aggie said happily. Brittany raised her eyebrows and looked away, while Melody frowned and sighed, like she was bored.

"So your names Aggie? Is that short for Agatha?" Charlotte-Rose asked, giggling.

Aggie's eyes went wide, she looked panicked.

"Um, yes. My names Agatha Francisco, but everyone calls me Aggie."

"Ok . . . Aggie." Charlotte-Rose muttered. Melody turned to Brittany and sighed.

"God, some people can be so stupid with nicknames."

I frowned. Aggie went red behind me and I sighed, I was probably going to regret what I was about to do. I was already starting to feel stressed, but why not add more to that. I noticed that Melody had gotten a stain on her crop top and took a deep breath. I could feel Aggie shaking beside me, trying not to cry, and suddenly it happened.

"Hey, Melody. Why don't you focus on keeping your clothes stain-free instead of making fun of peoples names."

Melody gaped at me while Aggie stared at me in awe, for some reason. Brittany frowned.

"Excuse me, who do you think you are?"

"I'm Allison Crossford, but everyone calls me Allie, or Als. However, I don't like you, so you two bitches can call me Allison. Oh, and you can leave my friend alone."

"How dare you! I have done nothing to deserve this, Als-"

Hearing her say the nickname my brothers gave me when I was 4, so mockingly, that's what triggered it.

"Do NOT call me Als, you bitch!"

I started feeling dizzy. I hardly knew what I was doing, but the next thing I remember is

PUNCH!

Brittany fell backwards out of her seat and groaned. Melody leapt forwards and pushed me backwards. She knocked over a few plates and someone yelled "food fight!". Some people started throwing food while others ran out of the room screaming. I heard Sandra screaming.

"Ow! My finger! It went all the way back! It hurts! I swear I heard a crack! Owww!"

Then I heard Charlotte-Rose yelling at someone.

"Oh my god, that, Allie girl is like crazy! She's gonna kill us all!"

I turned to Aggie and told her to get out of there, but she frowned. She was about to say something when Brittany slipped under the table and kicked me. I pushed Aggie out of the way and she sighed.

"No. This is all because of me. I'm not just gonna leave yo-"

CRASH!

Aggie groaned as Melody smashed a plate over her head. She fell to the ground, blood pouring from her head, and Melody stood back looking shocked. I could hardly see, but I could tell she regretted it. However. . .

"You bitch! You're gonna pay for that!"

And then I punched her.

She fell to the ground clutching her nose, and kicked me in the stomach. I threw up and Charlotte-Rose took a picture and posted it. Then I shoved her and she fell backwards into the dinner lady, Scarlett, who fell backwards into a pile of used plates. Everyone cheered and then Melody got up and pulled my hair while screaming. I grabbed hold of her arms and we both started trying to push the other one away. I shoved her again and she fell into the former-pile of plates where Scarlett and Charlotte-Rose were a few minutes ago. She then clutched her arm and screamed.

And that, I'm sad to say, is when I fainted.

I woke up at 7:30pm. Aggie was sat next to me, crying, and Melody and Brittany were sat on Melody's bed being lectured by Miss James.

They all looked quite bad. Aggie's whole head was bandaged up, and she had a long scratch going down her arm, Brittany had two of her fingers strapped together and had a few small scratches on her face and left arm. Melody was the worst though, which I feel bad about.

She had her nose bandaged up and she had cuts all across her legs, probably from the China plates. She had a bruise on her elbow and her knee and her wrist was in a sling. She also had a black eye and a scratch going down the side of her face

"You were very rude to Allie and Aggie! I'm not saying what they did wasn't out of order, but triggering someone with Vasovagal Syncope could be very dangerous for the person-"

"Vasovagal Syncope?" I asked curiously. Everyone turned to stare at me. Aggie looked happy, Miss James looked relieved, and I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I saw Brittany and Melody smile at each other, relieved, before Brittany glared at me.

"Oh, great, you're up. Yay" she said sarcastically. Miss James glared at her.

I didn't have a chance to think about it, because within five seconds Aggie had thrown herself on me.

"Allie! I'm so happy you're okay! I was so worried! She sat up and looked at me worriedly. "Are you okay?"

I nodded.

"I think so, I just feel a bit light headed and out of it. I'm so sorry about what happened! I lost control! Wait, What's Vasovagal syncope?"

Miss James stared at me, concerned, while Melody and Brittany looked surprised.

"It's alright." Melody said quietly. "I get why you were angry. I didn't realise Agatha was your best friend. I would've reacted the same way if I had a best friend."

"Well," Brittany said, linking arms with Melody. "You have one now. And I would've also reacted the same, so I'm sorry Allison."

I smiled.

"Call me Allie, just not Als please. That's the nickname my brothers gave me and it's really important to me. Anyways, what's Vasovagal Syncope fgs!"

"Fgs?" Aggie asked. I laughed.

"For gods sake."

Aggie nodded and Miss James frowned.

"Vasovagal Syncope is your disorder, of course. Are you sure you're alright? You haven't got Amnesia have you? Do you know who I am?"

I laughed quietly.

"You're Miss James, my teacher. Wait, my what now?"

"Your disorder, Vasovagal syncope. You were diagnosed 4 years ago. Your mother sent us all the forms."

I stared at her in disbelief.

"WHAT?! My mum knew! She had the forms all along! She told me she lost them and didn't know what I had!"

"Well, that was the case. However we needed copies of the forms for you to be a student here, so your mother e-mailed the doctor and got another copy, then e-mailed them to us."

"So?" I asked nervously. "What do I have? Tell me! Please!"

Miss James sighed.

"You have a rare disorder called Vasovagal Syncope. It causes you to pass out when you feel stressed in situations such as the one a few hours ago."

"Oh" was my only response. I was shocked, then I thought about what she had said. "Wait, a few hours ago? How long was I out for?"

Melody sighed.

"I got this one. Allison, you were unconscious for 1 hour."

"What?!" I asked in shock. Miss James sighed.

"It's true, your Vasovagal Syncope seems to be getting worse. I'll have to see about getting some food brought up here, the fact you haven't eaten all day helped trigger your episode. Come girls, let's go to the kitchen and ask Chef Mom to get Allie here some dinner."

Melody and Brittany sighed.

"Yes Miss."

"I think I'm gonna stay here with Als if that's alright, to make sure she's okay." Aggie said distractedly. Miss James nodded and left the room, Melody and Brittany behind her.

Aggie told me that she'd been given permission to stay in my room tonight. We talked and decided to move my stuff into the other room so we could sleep there tonight (and it's good we did because Brittany told us to stay out later that night). Then we talked excitedly until Miss James brought up a plate of Roast potatoes, peas, carrots, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, and gravy. She brought up two since Aggie hadn't eaten either, and the two of us stayed up late having a High School Musical Marathon - High School Musical, High School Musical 2, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and Sharpays Fabulous Adventure (the spinoff movie about Sharpay. Aggie thinks it's ridiculous that they made a movie about Sharpay because she thinks they should've made a movie about Kelsi and Ryan at Juilliard.

Then we got into bed properly and fell asleep. We reached over and held hands and then slowly drifted off to sleep. Then I woke up an hour ago and started writing, I'm still holding Aggies hand, my right hand hurts a lot.

I've finished writing more or less, I've also been messsging Park & Carls, Park created a group chat called 'THE BEST - Crossford Triplets'. Modest, right. 😂

I'm gonna go to sleep now, I'll put my diary in the secret gap in the floor under my bed.

Goodnight.
