Prologue: Death of A Legend

Clouds loomed and thunder rumbled. The end was near.

"You guys really did this just for me?" asked a young man wryly.

His body was in tatters as he floated within the void; blood drenching his body from head-to-toe.

"I feel truly flattered", he chuckled.

Surrounded by armies of enemies from various races, some of them stepped forward with a domineering presence.

One of them spoke out in response to the young man.

"Don't make me laugh. We warned you about the consequences", he replied sharply; his appearance hidden by the darkness of space.

"Give us everything right now and we'll make your death quick!" said another.

"Haah… No mercy. No miracle. No plot armour. I guess I couldn't become the protagonist of this universe", the young man sighed deeply, before looking to his companion next to him affectionately.

"You want my treasures? Dream on!" the young man yelled angrily this time.

"System! If you truly have any self-consciousness inside you, you will hear my first and last request for you", he spoke out loud, ignoring everyone's confused expressions.

"After I die, make sure the one who inherits my legacy meets my expectations", he said sorrowfully.

"M..as..ter…" the system echoed within his mind.

Suddenly, a bright radiance shone as immense levels of concepts, laws, elements and qi started swirling around the young man. Extending his hand, light wrapped around his befuddled pet as it tried to get out; attempting to reason with its master, but the young man couldn't hear it.

"I'm sorry Xiao long…" the young man whispered as an egg shell made of qi formed around Xiao Long, while forcefully reversing its evolution and size to make it fall into a deep slumber.

Piercing his own soul, the young man fearlessly shattered it into pieces along with the system linked to him as he took out all of his treasures from his interspatial storage rings. His face was deathly pale, but he continued to inject fragments of the system and his spirit that contained his will. All of his enemies could only watch helplessly from afar as multiple black holes had appeared from the very start, crushing the space separating them into smithereens.

"NO!" they all screamed in despair, but it was too late.

The young man had burned all of his life and blood essence as realms, universes, solar systems, planets and continents were created within his hands. Encompassing his spirit, the system's spirit, his dearest companion and all of his treasures, everything was spread out and hidden everywhere; sealed in every depths of his realm.

"From this day onwards, I will no longer exist. With my own life as a sacrifice, I will create my own realm that none of you heavenly and demonic races will ever be able to enter. Only life native to my realm shall be allowed in and out. As a mere human, I shall name it the 'Mortal' realm. My spirit will be left to exist to leave behind one question that only my inheritor will be able to answer", he announced resolutely.

*Boom*

As he spoke out quietly, his universes and worlds expanded, while the black holes collided to create something beyond a supernova. Everyone was escaping and distracted, yet his voice could still manage to reach their ears and every other existence across the realms.

"If everything has a purpose, are you the one destined to carry on mine?" the young man asked ethereally.

What the young man actually thought as his life ended.

"GODDESS! There's no demon king here! YOU SENT ME TO THE WRONG FUCKING WORLD!" he thought spitefully.
