Chapter 9

It has been a year since Wen had started training with Shaka and he has improved a great deal. He is currently suspended in the air sitting in a lotus position with his eyes closed as golden energy swirled around him.

Shaka is sitting on a cloud in front of him as he smiles at the young man in front of him. He knew the amount of concentration and hardwork that he had put to reach the level of strength that he is at now. He then pointed the tip of his staff at him as a ball of golden energy formed in front of it which he shot at the man.

Wen's eyes stayed closed as the energy ball was nearing him before he opened his eyes and waved his left hand deflecting the attack as Shaka smiled at him.

"Good. It seems that you've fully become an enlightened." Shaka said with a smile.

"I did? It's hard to know." Wen said to him as he looked at himself.

"Tell me. What do you feel right now?" Shaka asked with a hum.

"What do I feel? I feel... peaceful, tranquil and happy with the fact that I managed to reach this stage." Wen said with a smile.

"That's right. That is the entire point of my teachings. It isn't about gaining power, but ascending your spirit into a higher existence and attaining spiritual perfection. That is the core of it, to improve oneself and attain spiritual perfection and ascend yourself." Shaka said with a smile.

"I kind of had an inkling considering what you had said. But I want to ask something." Wen said to Shaka as he stood on the cloud.

"What is it?" Shaka asked with a smile.

"These things that you've been teaching me. Isn't it part of Buddhism?" Wen asked him curiously.

"Hmm. Yes, that is correct. The attainment of spiritual perfection and ascending your spirit to a higher plane of existence is the core of Buddhism." Shaka said to him with a smile.

"Then what about cultivators? Are they any different?" Wen asked him.

"Hmm, if we were to make a distinction between it then I would say that it is a way of ascension which doesn't care about right or wrong and anyone can reach it with enough training. But of course, it also depends upon their talents and meridians." Shaka said to him with a smile.

"Then how is it different from Buddhism?" Wen asked him curiously.

"It's the approach. Cultivators become stronger by learning to take more energy into their souls, but they also have to learn more about the world to actually become immortals. This can be done if they start to use their qi to learn more about the world. But it is more physical than spiritual as they do need healthy bodies and meridians for it, which have no need in Buddhism." Shaka said to him smiling.

"And in Buddhism?" Wen asked more curious now.

"In Buddhism, it focuses on self improvement of the mind, body and spirit. When a human is born the power of their spirit is normal but as they train more and focus on themselves rather than the world, they can perfect their spirit and attain perfection, becoming Enlightened and ascending into a higher. This also makes those who achieved enlightenment the ability to gain and understand vast amounts of knowledge that cultivators take years to learn." Shaka said to him.

"I see. I have also gained a lot of knowledge as well." Wen said to him with a smile.

"I know. I can feel it. However you still lack experience to fully use your new powers. But rest assured, now that you have become enlightened you are without a doubt one of the strongest beings on Earth." Shaka said to him with a smile.

"So I will be able to go back now?" Wen asked him with a smile.

"Of course. I wish you a more happy and successful life." Shaka said to him with a smile.

"Thank you. But there is one more thing I had wanted to ask you." Wen asked the man.

"And that is?" Shaka asked him.

"Who are you really? You said your name is Shaka but there seems to be some kind of barrier around you. Now that I have ascended my memory has improved as well and I know that there isn't a Buddha called Shaka that has been recorded. So that is my question." Wen said to him.

"Indeed. That is another name that I use. In truth, I am the founder of Buddhism and the one who discovered the way of enlightenment for all sentient beings. My original name is Gautama Siddharth, a former prince of Nepal and now known as the Buddha." Shaka revealed himself with a smile.

Wen's eyes widened a bit before a smile appeared on his face. Then he gave a bow to the man in front of him.

"Thank you. For giving me a second chance at life." Wen thanked the man with gratitude.

"It's alright. Now go live on Earth and show all those who made fun of you your worth." Buddha said to him with a smile.

"Thank you and I will do my best." Wen said as he smiled.

Buddha nodded to him with a smile before he waved his hand and a portal appeared beside him as Wen walked and stood in front of it. He gave one last look at Buddha before he entered the portal before it closed.

"He will go far." Buddha said with a smile.

Buddha then looked at the ground as his eyes glowed as on Earth some dark energy seemed to be on there.
