Chapter 14

"So you want to open a clinic of your own?" Wang Jing asked Wen after hearing his idea.

After they were done shopping Mingyun went with Chen to meet with her cousin at the hospital. There Wen shared his thoughts about starting a clinic of his own considering the amount of knowledge he has about the subject.

"Yes Mr. Wang. I think it will be a good use of my knowledge." Wen said to him with a smile.

"Please, you don't have to call me Mr. You saved my father's life brother Wen. I would be delighted if you would also call me brother in return." Jing said to him with a smile.

"If that is what you wish then I will do as you ask brother Jing." Wen said to him with a smile.

"I'm glad to hear it. So since you have decided to start a clinic where would you like to have your clinic?" Jing asked him with interest.

"I'm not particularly picky about it. As long as I'm able to work I'm fine." Wen said to him with a smile.

"Okay then. I will make a clinic with which you can use your knowledge effectively. I will make sure to make it as fast as I can." Jing said to him with a smile.

"I'm happy to hear that brother Jing." Wen said to him with a smile.

"Don't worry brother Wen, my cousin will make sure to make build you a high class clinic. You can be sure about that." Mingyun said with a smile as she is sitting beside Jing.

'Considering how much she was willing to use on my phone, I don't doubt it. Though he might be more cautious than her.' Wen thought to himself as he looked at her.

"Ah yes, why don't we exchange our contacts now that things have calmed down?" Wen said to them as he remembered it.

"Of course." Jing said as he took out his phone.

The two then exchanged their contacts while Mingyun had already done it after buying the sim.

"So what are you going to do now brother Wen?" Mingyun asked him curiously.

"I don't have a plan. Though I will think of something after this." Wen said to her with a smile.

"Okay then. Would you like to have lunch with us before leaving?" Mingyun asked him hoping that he will agree to it.

"That will be fine." Wen said to them as they became happy at hearing it.

Then they had a good and expensive meal at a high class restaurant.

'These are really tasty.' Wen thought to himself as he ate the food.

"How are they?" Mingyun asked about the food as she looked at him.

"It's very good." Wen said with a smile as he ate a piece of a crab.

"This is one of the greatest restaurants in Nantong. Please, eat as much as you like." Jing said with a smile.

"Thank you." Wen said with a smile.

After that the three of them had a pleasant time eating as they didn't think about the worries of the world for the short time that they are enjoying themselves.

"Thank you for the great meal." Wen said to them with a smile.

"It was our pleasure. I will inform you as soon as your clinic has been built." Jing said to him with a smile.

"Thank you again for your help." Wen said with a smile at his words.

"Are you sure that you don't need a ride? We can drop you where you want." Mingyun said to him.

"Thanks but I don't plan on going anywhere that far. Have a good day." Wen said to them with a smile.

"Thank you for accepting our invitation. Have a good day as well." Jing said to him with a smile.

"See you soon brother Wen." Mingyun said before she entered the car.

Then the Wang family went away in their car as Wen watched them leave. After they left he started to stroll through the streets. He is now in the area where many expensive shops are. This is the place that people of high class come to buy things. He was curious about it so he decided to take in the sights.

"This really is a place for the high class." Wen said as he saw the price tags of many things in the area which were quite expensive by normal standards.

After strolling through the area he came across a bar which caught his interest. He decided to take a look at it since he did feel interested about it. Besides, considering the strength he has not many in the world will be able to contend against him. May they be a normal human or a decent cultivator.

He entered the bar and saw many people enjoying drinks and some of them were dancing as well the as the disco song and ball gave it a nice feeling. He went to the bartenders counter while making sure that he doesn't bump into anyone.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?" The bartender asked him with a smile.

"I want a Baijiu." Wen said to him with a smile as he sat on the seat.

"Going strong at the start eh. That must mean that sir can surely hold his liquor." The bartender said as he got to his job.

"Yes, something like that." Wen said nonchalantly as he watched the people in the bar.

"Here is your order sir." The bartender said as he placed the drink.

Wen thanked the man before he started drinking it as he felt the strong alcohol go down his throat. He only drank a little and stopped as he let out a breath as he felt the familiar burning sensation in his throat. Of course, he isn't addicted to it but he does like to taste it.

'I should try wine next.' Wen thought to himself before he gave the order.

After that he tried the different alcoholic drinks in the bar which the bartender was delighted to give as this only meant more money for them. And Wen decided that he would be a bit more loose with his money for this night.

'I wonder what I will do until the clinic gets done?' Wen thought to himself as he looked at his glass of alcohol.

As he was thinking that he remembered the face of Zhang Huan and how he had humiliated him and destroyed his reputation and life. Just because he was someone who came from a normal family. He felt some anger at the man for the things he had done to him before a thought struck him.

'A man like that is very conceited. Maybe he has some shady dealings which he keeps as secret.' Wen thought to himself as he thought about it.

It didn't take a genius to know that Huan is a very prideful man and he also didn't miss the look of disdain that he sent him when he had went to his marriage.

'Now that I think about, how did the Xiao family lose their reputation so much. They might not be the most reputed of families in Nantong but they still had some sway in things. Unless...' Wen thought to himself seriously.

The idea was a bit far-fetched but he didn't find anything wrong about taking a look into things.

'Well, looks like I have something to do after all.' Wen thought to himself as he smirked to himself.
