Chapter 4 : THE OTHER DIMENSION

_03/03/3030 the day COMASIS strikes|

Jared suddenly thought of the idea of attempting to log out. He shouted a couple of times but nothing happened, the panel only continued explaining the mechanics of the game.

Back in his distressed state he panicked and search for settings or the log-out button but, there is none. The only conclusion he could come up to was either this is just a dream or he was stuck inside this game-like situation.

His Theory of it being a dream was the closest guess on what happened to him. His consciousness was brought unto another realm which people of this century refer to as an alternate reality or another dimension.

The victims' bodies are left within the earth while their consciousness exists in this other dimension scientists discovered and named ENIGMA.

This is a place that's yet to be explored, scientists created wristwatches that would activate over time while slowly making the host's body adapt to the high-pitch-ringing noises when travelling. The said project was named Project Azathoth (PA).

Zyke Andrei Reyes, Jared's father who was one of those developers died before he could explore ENIGMA leaving the watch to his son. This was supposed to be a private exploration but, one of the scientists who created more copies leaked the project and made a fortune over it.

No one expected such a thing to happen. The said gadget was distributed to a huge number of people with no regard for age, gender, or societal rank. Jared labeled as no. 1091 means there are more than that number who had become a victim of COMASIS or PA.

03/03/3030 was the set date for the watch to forcibly transport the host's consciousness on ENIGMA. And this time Jared is facing the hurdle of being stuck in this dimension.

There were unexpected events that occurred, ENIGMA was aware of the arrival of the Earthians. Those victims of PA are now the subject of entertainment for the people of ENIGMA.

This dimension was so far ahead in terms of technological advancements and created an environment for amusement. Taking advantage of the cracks in dimensions scientists unconsciously created, The people of ENIGMA peaked through Earth and created a place similar to it. There were only minimal changes as ENIGMA was already similar to Earth.

Jared was unconscious when he got transported to this dimension, he was manually transported with the others on the separate cubes they are in and was installed with a transparent anklet that gave them access to this game system they'd created.
