"Come on Ashley Chua, hurry up or else...!" whoaaa! My annoying best friend is really just ANNOYING and yes there's no other words that would describe her. I can't believe she really convinced me to go with her on that kind of event. It is February 14, 2014 meaning lover's day, but for me it is just another simple day that will pass but then since I asked her help for my Thesis I had no other choice but to go with her on that "Meet Your Match" shitty event. "Happy now?" I answered with rolling eyes as I opened my door.
For Ashley, there's no such day for lovers to show affection or love for eachother as she believed that expressing your love to someone must not be dated as it should be anytime and not only with special events. Or maybe that is just how she can see it with the fact that she never had a boyfriend yet although a lot of guys wants to date her. Ashley is really beautiful with a good posture, nice and smart plus a good family background, her family owns the most Highly paid Law firm in Asia.
Ashley's parents are both lawyers and being the only child they expect more from her as she is going to take over their business in the near future. Ashley is now a graduating student of Political Science and a candidate for Cumlaude, even though she really want to be an Architect she had to set it aside to make her parents proud. She can do everything just to see them happy.
--Meet Your Match event
It's been 20 minutes since my annoying bestfriend Chloe and I got here and I've had some few talk with some guy coming on my table. "Chloe Chen, I'm leaving now, this is insane!" I whisper as I grab her arm, I'm about to leave when she pulled my hair "Uh uh My dearest bestfriend, where do you think you're going?" I simply replied 'home' then she took her hand off of my hair "And your thesis?" she slightly curled her lip, "I'll just get some drinks" is all I have said and go to the bar counter.
This good bestfriend of mine is blackmailing me with my thesis that she won't help if I won't stay with her in this event, if only I have completed my thesis earlier then probably I won't be here right now. Chloe is actually the daughter of the CEO in the biggest maid agency in the Philippines and fortunately my thesis is about how do a maid agency handle their contract.
Meanwhile, Chloe is too busy chatting with a guy then Ashley took the opportunity to escape from the event.
While walking she open her clutch to look for her phone and immediately book for a grab car since they used Chloe's car to get there. She was just lucky that the grab car is on the same destination and no need to wait.
When she saw her grabcar she run and directly go to the backseat, after closing the door she noticed that there is someone sitting beside her. She raised her eyebrow and glared with the man sitting on her side "I don't think I booked for a grab share" The man's face is obviously shocked, he did not say anything but gave her a sweet smile which reveal his small dimple then gave some money to the driver. And that's when Ashley realized that the man sitting beside her awhile ago is actually the passenger the grabcar is dropping off.
