SPECIAL UNIT

'He just had to expose himself' thought Long as he looked at the platform with a helpless expression. Suddenly, he heard a dreadful voice beside him.

"Old Long, I have a question for you"

With a panicked expression, Long stuttered.

"Umm... a... am listening"

Lawrence then asked with a voice more dreadful than before.

"Was this the trump card you mentioned before that your precious disciple has?"

While Lawrence was asking his question, Long sneakily glanced in the direction of where Lawrence and Manuel were seated.

They both were radiating an intense aura coupled with their gloomy expressions. With a frightened expression, Long quickly got up and exclaimed while rushing out of the booth.

"Why don't we forget all those past talks and congratulate the students on their performances"

While looking at the frightened Long rushing out of the VIP booth, they suddenly shook their head as Manuel commented.

"He will never change"

Back in the coliseum, all the students that participated in the competition were seen standing in a straight line on the platform receiving medals from the academy teachers. After giving the students their medals, the teachers promptly came out from the platform and stood in an orderly manner.

'So what next?' thought Dave as he glanced at the people who just stood beside him and looked at the sky. Even the audience didn't move from their seats as if they were expecting some form of information.

Suddenly, Long appeared in the sky along with his friends behind him as he looked at the students on the platform. After some moments of silence, he finally spoke with a powered voice in a form of a speech to the crowd.

"Thank you all for coming to watch this simple yet prestigious event, for cheering for the students participating in the event, and for being understanding toward the mishap that happened yesterday. I give you my heartfelt thanks"

After some minutes of applause from the audience and the students on the platform, he continued.

"If we stick to how these events flow, we naturally give the prizes to the finalist of this event. But before we do that, we have a special announcement to make and the one who will give it will be our special referee Mr. Tang"

After speaking up to this point, Long and his friends simply opened up a path among them which made Tang visible to the crowd. Apparently, while Long was doing his speech to the crowd, Tang sneakily entered Long's group. Although they were annoyed with that act, they simply ignored it since they knew they can't beat him.

While standing in front of Long's group and looking at the curious crowd, he spoke with power that seem to be more audible than Long's voice.

"Thank you all for having me today and it's an honor to officiate in this yearly event. The special announcement I would like to make is that the capital has decided to recruit four second-year students from each school all over the world to form a special unit"

After getting the announcement, there was a strange silence all over the coliseum followed by an uproar among the audience and the students on the platform. But Tang simply ignored the craziness from the crowd as he used his aura which suppressed them to continue.

"The name capital used for this special unit is "BEAST HUNTERS" and they gave me the task to choose the four second-year students from this school who will be in this special unit which I have already done"

Although there was now a heated discussion among the crowd and a look of eagerness among the students on the platform, Tang continue to ignore it as he calls out the names of the students he has chosen.

"Jonah Harry!"

After hearing his name called out, Jonah smirked a little as he walked out of the line made up of students who participated in the event.

'Looks like this is the reason he quited so easily earlier' thought Dave as he glanced at Jonah only for a few seconds. Although the rest of the students were shocked by why Jonah got picked, they couldn't give voice to their doubts since it might provoke the powerhouse.

"Jake Turner"

"Viona Styles"

The owner of those names quickly came out as the former had an arrogant expression on his face while the latter had her head lowered. After those two came out from the line, Tang finally announced the name of the last student with a slight trace of ecstasy on his face.

"And finally, Dave Starks"

'Well, that's to be expected' thought Dave as he leisurely walked out of the line. After seeing the last student called out, the rest of the students had a disheartened expression as they lowered their heads.

But unfortunately, Tang didn't even try to console them as he land in front of the four students and spoke sternly.

"Congratulations on being among the people in the Beast Hunters unit. But you shouldn't be proud of reaching this point because this is just a starting point for you four".

While hearing what Tang told them, the four students cast away their various expressions as they had serious expressions on their faces. After seeing the change of expression on the four students, Tang continued with a confident smile.

"Come tomorrow at the academy entrance for you four to travel to the capital where you will meet other students who were chosen for this Beast Hunter unit. Again, congratulations on reaching this stage in your life"

After speaking up to this point, he simply stepped back from the group of four and vanished.
