DIVINE BEAST HUNTERS II

"Huh? why are you thanking me?" Dave suddenly asked with a confused expression as soon as he and Muzi separated from their hug.

"Didn't you save him in that pagoda six years?" the dark-haired boy asked with a confused expression also on his face.

"..."

Although Dave was rendered speechless by what the dark-haired boy asked, Muzi still answered to clear his doubt.

"He did Jake but I don't think he was aware of his surrounding at that time since that's where the awakening started"

When Jake heard Muzi's explanation, understanding dawned on him as he calmed down. But not long after, he suddenly had a curious expression along with glittering eyes as he asked Dave.

"So how was the process in the awakening? did you meet a God?"

After pondering about it for some seconds, he eventually answered.

"Well, it wasn't that exciting. I just got some spells along with a movement technique"

"That's pretty lame for you to stay in that sphere for six years" Jake replied with a disappointed expression. But before Dave could reply to what Jake said, Muzi quickly asked.

"Now that you are out of that sphere, what are you going to do now?"

And so, with a solemn expression that quickly appeared on Dave's face, he answered Muzi's question.

"Am planning to create a beast squad in other to retrieve the lands we lost to the beasts decades ago"

When Muzi and Jake heard what Dave said, they both had shocked expressions as Jake asked.

"Is that possible?"

"Of cause" Dave answered with a smile on his face as he unleashed his aura. When Muzi and Jake felt the aura coming out from Dave, their shocked expression quickly changed to disbelief as Muzi exclaimed.

"How is this possible!?"

Right now Jake and Muzi we're both in the peak phase of Rank C as they both were expecting a breakthrough any time soon. Although they are both geniuses, they paled in comparison to Dave's monstrous growth.

"Although I admitted that you were strong six years ago, It looks like I made a mistake in labeling you "strong" at that time," Jake suddenly said with a downcasted expression.

Although Dave felt sorry for both depressed men in front of him, he still muster up the courage to ask them.

"So you guys what of others? are they around?"

"Don't worry Dave, I already brought them here" replied Lord Xavier as he suddenly appeared with girls and a boy. When the two people saw Dave, the boy had a shocked expression while the girl suddenly towards Dave with faint tears in her eyes. As soon as the girl reached Dave, she immediately hugged him as she spoke in a relieved tone.

"I missed you"

Although Dave was initially surprised by the sudden reaction, he later sighed with a warm smile as he replied.

"So did I Viona"

Viona right now has grown compared to six years ago. She still had her long red hair that stopped at her waist, she wore casual clothes like a white T-shirt and a jean which slightly revealed her curves now that she has grown. Along with wearing sneakers, she looked like a typical teenager.

"You have changed Dave" Jonah spoke with shock still on his face. Among the trio, Jonah is the one who has changed in appearance the most. He now had long dark hair that rested on his shoulder and dark-colored eyes. Along with the body hug clothe he wore on his now burly figure, he looks more like a wrestler than an energy practitioner.

"So have you Jonah" Dave replied with a smirk on his face as he stared at Jonah's figure.

"What's that on your forehead?" Viona asked right after she separated from Dave with a curious expression on her face.

"Oh, this? it's just a sign that I am now a gods successor" Dave answered as he touched the rainbow-like sphere on his forehead.

"Oh, Ok!" Viona replied as a charming smile appeared on her face while staring at Dave.

'I haven't seen her smile like that for the past six years' Jake thought as a sudden twitch happened on the smile he had on his face.

"Now that you have met your friends again, what are you going to call your beast squad so that I can register the name to the beast hunter HQ" Lord Xavier suddenly spoke which drew the attention of everyone there.

While feeling the surprised gazes on his body, he answered with a calm look on his face.

"Divine beast hunters squad"

"Nice name" Lord Xavier replied as he began to disappear from the courtyard. But before he could vanish from that place, Dave suddenly asked.

"There is one more person I would like to recruit to my squad"

"And who might that be?" Lord Xavier asked as he materialized back in the courtyard with a curious expression on his face. And so, with a solemn expression now on Dave's face, he answered.

"Austin Phillips"

Although Lord Xavier got shocked by name of the person Dave want to recruit, he quickly calmed down as he spoke with a sigh.

"Right now he is in his house that has number twenty on the door located at the south side from here. Although he is one of the strongest student we have seen in the century, he refuses to join any beast hunters' squad"

When Dave heard what Lord Xavier said, he suddenly smirked while speaking in his mind.

'He is waiting for me'
