She hates me for being a guy

Emily glared at Blake as he tried reattaching the red wire. He sighed and glanced at her, "You really shouldn't glare at someone for so long, it might get stuck on your face."

"I trusted you, Blake."

He stopped what he was doing to look at her fully, "What do you want me to do? Get down on my knees and beg for your forgiveness?"

Emily folded her arms and the lone sweatshirt she adorned almost exposed more than she would've wanted to.

Blake averted his gaze, "If I didn't know better I'd think you're trying to seduce me."

Emily pulled on the sweatshirt and forced it to go down to at least her mid-thigh, but then her cleavage became exposed.

Blake turned his back to her and continued trying to reattach the wire. He mumbled under his breath, "You're going to drive me insane."

He was sure he wasn't attracted to her; when he saw her for the first time he didn't think much of her, but after seeing the full package and even getting a taste of her, Blake was hungry for more.

He wanted her and her being angry with him made him want to make her submit to him even more. Just the thought of all the things he would do to her made him so very hard.

Blake shook his head, 'What the hell am I thinking? I'm not attracted to her at all.' He already failed Anessa by letting Emily find out he isn't gay, he can't fail her again.

He blamed his arousal on him being a normal guy. What kind of straight guy wouldn't get hard after seeing a sexy woman naked?

"Hey!" Emily called out to him for what seemed like the billionth time since night. "Why are you always dreaming when I'm talking to you?" she angrily questioned.

'If she hates me for being a guy, I should might as well hate her too for being so alluring,' Blake thought to himself. He was sure it would be easier to hate her since he can't be attracted to people he hates...right?

Blake turned around and stared blankly at her, "Because I get tired of listening to you, so I block you out."

Emily narrowed her eyes at him, "You're such an asshole."

"Takes one to know one," he rebutted.

Emily rolled her eyes, "What are you? Five?"

"I could ask you the same question. I only asked you to hold the light steady and you can't even do that?" he questioned.

Emily hmphed and directed the light directly at his face, "Happy?"

Blake grabbed the phone from her, "Fucking ecstatic." He placed it into his mouth and continued connecting the wires.

"Anessa told you to do it, didn't she?" Emily accusingly questioned.

Blake sighed as he took the phone from his lips and looked at her, "Let's just focus on getting out of this microwave oven of an apartment first, okay?"

The predominant frown returned to Emily's face, "Fine." She took the phone from him, "And you better start brainstorming other places to live."

Blake stole glances at her as he twisted the small wires together; he couldn't help but wonder what happened in Emily's past that made her hate men so much.

'It would've been better if she continued to think he was gay,' Blake thought to himself because he knew at least he would've been able to live in peace.

A small spark appeared on the wire and Emily quickly pushed his hands away. "Careful," she warned.

Blake rose a brow, "You actually care?"

Emily rolled her eyes and let go of his hands, "Don't let it get to your head. If you got electrocuted and died I'd have nightmares for months." She plastered a smile to her face, "I was simply trying to avoid that."

Blake chuckled, "Right, I forgot how much of a selfish bitch you actually are."

Both thought they were completely fooled by the other. Emily's mood and attitude completely changed when she found out Blake wasn't gay, and it was the same for Blake when he realized he wouldn't have to pretend anymore.

No one ever dared to talk to Emily like that, and even if they were to curse at her, they'd do it behind her back or anonymously. But Blake stared deeply into her eyes as he called her a selfish bitch.

'The nerve of this arrogant piece of shit!' Emily inwardly cursed.

"I hope you know your sleeping outside on the cold floor by the door tonight," she threatened. Emily then smirked, "But if you apologize now I'll consider at least giving you a blanket."

Blake chuckled, "I'm your roommate Emily, not your boyfriend."

The contract wasn't finalized yet and Blake knew that, but it'd take more than a few threats to get him to move out.

He twisted the last wire on the bunch and the room lit up. "Anessa's apartment rebooting," Maria announced.

Emily smiled brightly as she squinted her eyes to adjust to the brightness. "I can't believe it actually worked," she said in disbelief.

When she realized Blake wasn't saying anything, she refocused her gaze on him but ended up unintentionally drooling over the beast of a man in front of her.

Her eyes traveled his excellent physique from his six-pack abs to his firm, muscular chest. His body glistened with sweat which made him look even more perfect, but before she could move her eyes to look at his face, her eyes caught a bulge in his pants.

Emily's brows shot up and her face heated up, 'We've been arguing for the past half-hour, why is he hard? Did I do something?'

She was so embarrassed to look at him, she was sure he knew she was staring at his boner, but regardless, she slowly and shyly looked up at him from under her long lashes.

To her surprise, Blake was actually looking at her with a blank look on his face, but his eyes were focused solely on the cleavage that spilled out from her pulling her sweatshirt to cover her thighs.

Blake's adam's apple bobbed up and down as he gulped. His eyes followed a bead of sweat that rolled down into her cleavage and he frustratingly cursed at himself, 'Fuck, why is she so hot?!'

She was like a forbidden fruit he wasn't allowed to have, but that only made him want her even more.

"Emily," he started as he stepped closer to her, but his sentence was cut off when Maria announced, "Reboot complete, resuming protocols. Activating defense protocol."

Emily's eyes widened, "Shit! We need to get out of here!"

And so it begins- Strangers to Enemies to...?
