Planting the Field

"Master Rabbink!" Red called.

Master Rabbink started to feel there were some cold sweats on its fur. What It was afraid the most happened.

"I want to sell these seeds to your store." Red couldn't use the seed. "Would that make the store sell a fresh one?"

"Fresh one?" Master Rabbink felt humiliated. Its store always sold a perfected one.

"There were some seeds in your storage ring. Perhaps, you use them for medicine." Master Rabbink said.

Red could believe that to some extents. He often prepared for the danger and brought many medicines.

He purchased 5 Ton Pandan Wangi. It stood like 5 boulders next to him in the store.

Red returned with the 5 sacks of Pandan Wangi seeds. It was lucky there was nobody there. Most people were gathering in the village square.

However, Red couldn't do anything to this 5 tons seeds. It was very cheap for him, but it was very large and heavy. His storage couldn't put the sacks. Nong Min's house was also small. "You already had this much harvest? I remembered you were still preparing your field."

"This is the seeds that I saved from last farming season." Red made an excuse.

"All of them? This could be used in a quarter of the total village field."

"No. The rest was my saving. I need some money this season."

"I see."

"Why do you visit me?" Red felt it was strange. Nong Min rarely had people visited him.

"I will to the City tomorrow with Xi San's husband. I want to look for my brother. I heard you need to purchase something in the city. Do you want me to help you?"

Red smiled. The villagers were often the best people. They were friendly and loved to help.

"I had some in my mind. Could you sell some of these seeds? I don't have any money right now." Red would only need a quarter of the sack.

[Should I purchase more sacks from the store and turned it into money?] He thought. [No. I will do it only when my harvest wasn't enough. I don't know what the future would require me. I also need to plant some for the mission.]

Red himself had prepared Nong Xie's field all this day. He managed to plow the field. He also channeled some water to his field. The field had turned into a puddle of mud. It was the most suitable condition for paddy rice. He wore his boots and jumped into the field.

He started to put the germinated seeds into the field. He had already prepared the seeds during the past 5 days.

Red wouldn't directly plant the paddy. He would need to wait until the seedling had 3-5 leaves before he planted them into the field. This process would take another 12-20 days to ensure the seedlings had a better success rate.

It took Red another day to prepare the seedbed.

Another 20 Days passed. During this time, Red continued to prepare the rest of the field. He removed all weeds, hoed, plowed, and tilled the field. It was finally the time for him to move his paddy seedling into the field.

At the same time, Red had started to be influenced by Nong Min more. He became friendlier to the villagers. He started to think the people around him were his family.
