Chapter 78: Mr. Sato's Murder Case 3

When the kids finish eating their bento, Miwako led them out of the convenience store as they encountered a group of middle aged men and women. Miwako heard someone speaking of her name.

"Oh ya? Isn't this Miwa-chan?" -Chiyoko Kandori

"You grown up!" -Mitsuo Inomata

"It's been quite a while, aunt Chiyo, uncle Mitsuo, uncle Shuji and uncle Hidero. What are you guys here today?"

"We were about to have a drink together. But first, we came to greet the captain, Sato."

Miwako Sato introduced Seiya and the kids to them while acting normal as she noticed Sarutari's eye pupils seem to dilate when he took a glance at her. Kana Shuji on the other hand seem to avoided her glance which was only noticed by Seiya, as he immediately placed down the flowers he brought in front of the flower vase underneath the traffic light as he prayed for redemption. Seiya noticed Conan rubbing his chin with his finger as he thought of something, he couldn't help but ask as he felt that this kid is still careless.

"Conan, what are you thinking?"

"I'm thinking, if Sarutari had something to hide. Ah! It was Big brother Shinichi who taught me how to see if someone is trying to hide something using their face and eye movement."

"Oh, no wonder. You got talent conan-kun!"

Edogawa Conan internally wipe of the invisible sweat of his forehead as he thought.

'It was a close one..'

Seiya acted dumb at this part because he didn't want to leave any handles that the kid could grab which might reach the point where Conan speak of his identity just like how he admits his identity through Takagi, Heiji, FBI agents and etc. He didn't want that to happen as he admits that he has greed and interest with Shinichi's childhood sweetheart Mouri Ran. He already died once, this is the second life opportunity that was given to him. He wants to go big and try all kinds of things that he wasn't able to do in the first life. After a few more minutes, The group of Mr. Sato's friends left as Seiya asked Miwako while they walk back to the parking lot.

"Miwako, is the bank from your father's case still exist?"

"Yes, are you planning to find the records of the stolen bills? I believe they still have the records for the serial numbers of the money that was stolen."

"Let's go back to the police station and ask for a search warrant. I think that record will help me find the second suspect in the case."

Seiya and Miwako droved their car back to the police station as they drop off the kids, Miwako felt that the events that will happen later feels dangerous if they brought to kids. This action displeased Ayumi Yoshida as she tried to find her solution by using the legendary move called the puppy dog eyes as her eyes were like big beautiful jewels that will start to sparkle, she asked with a hint of starting to cry.

"Big brother, can I come with you? *sniff*"

"Sorry, Ayumi-chan. But you can't come with me, because it will be dangerous later on."

Seiya gave her a head pat as he softly apologized to Ayumi, she was disappointed that she couldn't come with him. But she still obediently followed the Junior Detective Squad back to the playground park nearby as she thought while wiping the tears in her eyes.

'Big brother doesn't want me to cry! big brother did this because he doesn't want me to get hurt!'

Ayumi made her own conclusions as she turned back into a joyful little girl, Conan was having the urge to follow. But remembering that this seem to be a private case, and getting found out might get him in trouble. He still resisted the urge to follow as he remembered that he still has no Edogawa Conan I.D or Birth Certificate. Miwako followed Seiya onto the 8th floor building as they encountered Yumi Miyamoto on the elevator. Seiya remembered her letter as he took out the letter that he made and hand it over to her as he said.

"You are Yumi, am I right? I have answered all your "inquiries" about my guideline. "

"Yes, you are correct. I am Yumi~ Thank you for taking some of your time to answer all my "questions". I might send another one after reading this one. If it's alright to you?"

"It's fine~"

Yumi seem to noticed his set of words as she also gave a deeper meaning of her statement, she didn't forget to hold his hands a bit longer when she took the letter. Miwako seem to noticed the ambiguous setting of the elevator as she cough, She asked Yumi.

"Why are you still here Yumi?"

"Why can't I be here? Hehe, it looks like I have disturb your *muffled*"

Miwako couldn't help but cover her mouth as Yumi tried to protest as she asked Seiya for help with her eyes. Seiya chuckles as he said while the elevator reached their destination.

"Miwako, lets go~"

"Hmph!"

Seiya went out first as Miwako gave Yumi a glare before following him toward Superintendent Matsumoto's office. Seiya felt that he will meet Miyano Akemi soon as he remembered that she was currently working in a bank and his case was also about a bank. He removed his thought as he opened the office door and saw Superintendent Matsumoto talking to a young beautiful girl about a marriage. Seiya felt that he was getting into something more deeper as he saw Superintendent Matsumoto give him the sparkling eyes.
