Chapter 55: Art Museum Owner Murder Case 3

Inspector Megure called upon the four remaining staff and the director of the Museum as Seiya stared at their expression. Ochiai's expression was shock and surprise as if he didn't expect this too happen while the four staff seem to be scared and timid as they saw the dead bodies. Seiya's eyebrow furrowed as he couldn't see the the calluses from Ochiai's hands while his expression of being shock and surprised really show that he isn't the one that made the manslaughter, Seiya even tried hearing his heartbeat which was beating normally. Seiya's sense of hearing is already stronger than Superman's hearing.

Seiya then stared at the four staff, he knew the fat man whose name is Iijima because in the original plot, he was the one that Ochiai The director ordered to replace the dead man when he didn't use glove while taking the painting off the wall. The three remaining staff had a pale expression as if they felt sick in seeing the two dead bodies. He went close to Miwako to investigate the two dead bodies as he ask.

"Miwako, what do you think happened here?"

"The one who killed both of them seem to be have an angry Vendetta against the Staff named Kubota, but one thing that I have noticed was that it only took one stab on the neck to make the owner of the museum hanged in the wall. I can't see how the 4 staff and director could do such a strong action. How about you? What do you think happened here?"

Miwako asked Seiya as she curiously stared at Seiya's serious thinking expression, he spoke while pointing at the slash wounds of Kubota.

"The wounds in Kubota's body seem to be made by a long dagger, but have you notice that the slash wounds seem to be cut randomly yet the stab wound were aimed at the main organs of the body?"

"That is weird, but it could have been a coincidence...."

"You shouldn't think of the word coincidence with this case since every factor found in the scene can be used as an information to recreate or understand how the crime happened."

Seiya shook his head when he heard her statement, he then went to the medieval armor where some of the armor parts has some slash and stab area. Seiya felt this matter really isn't simple because the one who killed Kubota can literally pierce and cut through iron plate, after checking the damage of the armor. He then grabbed the sword that was used to stab Manaka in the neck and hanged onto the wall. The sword trembled as Seiya could feel some kind of invisible energy began trying to infect him, but it stops as it quickly retreated when it noticed that Seiya's body began to devour the it's energy.

Seiya frowned as he felt the invisible energy that he assume was either resentment or magic coming from the sword, he then tried stabbing it onto the ground which frightened the CSI beside him. Seiya didn't even need to use strength when the long sword freaking pierced the cemented tiles, Inspector Megure cautiously asked Seiya as he stared at him still holding the handle of the long sword.

"Seiya-kun, is there a problem?"

"Don't you think this long sword is very weird like it is too sharp even though it should have been dull and rusty because it is a relic from the medieval times?"

"It is weird....Director Ochiai do you guys call on a maintainance service on this sword and armor?"

Inspector Megure agreed with Seiya's statement as he asked Ochiai on how they maintain and stops the deterioration of the artifacts in the museum. Ochiai shook his head as he spoke.

"We call the blacksmiths nearby if we want to repair the armor and long sword but because the museum has been sold 2 months ago, we stop calling for the blacksmith a month ago. The Beika Art museum is only open temporarily until the new owner starts renovating the place."

Seiya ask Ochiai to lead them to the Monitor Room where you can see the CCTV's perspective, Ochiai obediently led them to the room as the four staff were questioned by Miwako as they spoke of their alibi. The security guard who was responsible for the monitor immediately followed the police's order as he rewind the screen for the CCTV of the Hell room. In the screen, The CCTV shown how Kubota wore the Medieval Armor as he played around it, when suddenly The owner showed up in the screen as he began scolding Kubata.

Kubota who was scolded for wearing the armor suddenly freak out as he saw something behind Manaka, Manaka who turned his body around was suddenly pierced by a long sword in the neck as his body got hanged in the wall while he tried to struggle. The long sword was seen coming from the edge of the screen in the video like it was thrown like a javelin this made Takagi who was beside Seiya shout from the horror thrill of the video.

"Holy shit! *cough* Sorry~"

Takagi apologize as they continued to watch the CCTV, Kubota who was trembling inside the armor immediately escapes, but the CCTV didn't see the whole scene as the last thing that the video shown was that Kubota was still wearing the armor that has turned into a bloody one as he slowly step back then he stops onto the corner before leaning back as he was bleeding. Then the CCTV was cut off as something or someone broke it, Seiya sigh as he remembered something while staring at the expression of the 4 staff, the fat man called Iijima seem to have a gloating expression for a split second before changing into a fearing one, when he arrived at the scene.

Seiya thanked the Security Guard as he went back to the crime scene, Ran who seem to be waiting for him in the entrance of the Hell room immediately ask.

"How was it?"

"Well, it was a gruesome scene. Don't worry, you don't have to wait anymore. Because I think I know who the murderer is."

"Really?"

Ran was surprise but she was immediately curious on who murdered the two victims, Seiya nodded as he went inside the room as Conan who heard their conversation immediately followed as his plot armor seem to activate which made the police officer unable to see him walking inside the crime scene. Seiya walks toward Inspector Megure as he said.

"Inspector, I think I know who the killer is.."

"Really?! As expected of Seiya-kun. Who is it?"

Inspector Megure felt happy as finally they don't have to rely on a Detective to solve their cases, the CSI and Miwako stops from their action as they heard Inspector Megure's exclamation. Seiya cough as he stared at Iijima before saying.

"Mr. Iijima, can you unbutton your shirt and show the murder weapon to everyone?"

"Wh....at? Why? I'm not the murderer!!"

Iijima refuted while stuttering as his expression shown fear and panic, Seiya noticed while Iijima was entering the room. His movement were restraint like he was keeping something inside his body, just like Ryoichi Takahashi the murderer from the Mountain Villa Bandaged Man Murder Case that would happen in a event coming soon. Seiya spoke while point at Iijima's stomach.

"The first time I saw you enter the room, you showed the expression of gloating for a split second before it turned into a fearful one. Second! When you walk, your body movement seemed to be restrained and a little slow like your wearing something inside and right now, I have noticed that you haven't moved around like the other staff and Director Ochiai. So Mr. Iijima may I ask you to unbutton your shirt?"

"I I..."

Iijima stuttered while frantically looking around then suddenly he moved very fast as he pulled the CSI and stole the long sword that the CSI was holding. He shouted while placing the Long Sword onto the frightened CSI's neck.

"Don't move! or I cut off his head!!!"

Inspector Megure and the police squad was stunned because of this swift action, Miwako was too late to grab her gun from her holster as Iijima slowly steps back while holding the hostage, he spoke as he held the long sword against the CSI's neck. Iijima's panic expression turned into a vicious yet crazy expression as if he was a different person.

"This isn't my fault! I killed that bastard because he fucking deserves it!"

Iijima began speaking out his reason as it turns out, his girlfriend gave him a green hat as she cheated on him with Kubota because of money, but he knew where Kubota got the money as he was the one secretly taking out the original paintings and artifacts and replacing it with fakes before selling the original ones to buyers. But he didn't expect his girlfriend would cheat on him as they literally did it in front of his face when he arrived at his rented apartment. Iijima continue to speak as his expression became more crazier. The CSI was trembling from fear as he could feel that the situation was getting more dangerous for him. After speaking his reason, he shouted.

"Back away! Or else I will kill this man!"

They were hesitant except Seiya as Inspector Megure shouted.

"Give him some space!"

They slowly moved away from Iijima as he then stared at Seiya while viciously saying.

"If it weren't for you! My plan would have been perfect!"

"No, even without me. My fellow police officer would still find a reason to doubt you."

Seiya shook his head as he suddenly saw Conan behind Iijima as he bends down while turning on his rubber shoes gadget, Conan shouted while kicking the helmet of the armor onto Iijima's back.

"TAKE THIS!"

Iijima turned around because of Conan's shout, The CSI hostage was very unlucky because his head was the one that got hit by the helmet that Conan kicked. Conan who missed the shot immediately thought.

'Oh Shit, this is bad!"

*BANG!*

But before Iijima got to slice off the Hostage's neck, behind him was Seiya holding his Colt M1911 as he already fired a bullet. His back was wide open as Seiya shot him in the behind his head, Iijima trembled before he slowly drops the long sword that seemed to control him. Seiya sigh in relief as he thank his fast reflex because it only took a Millisecond to grab the gun from the handgun holster behind his back. Inspector Megure and the police squad sighed in relief as Miwako was admiring Seiya's gun skill.

A few minutes later, the CSI carried placed the three dead body onto their body bags before putting them on top of three stretchers. Miwako seem to forgotten her jealousy as she admired and ask how did Seiya manage to grab his gun so fast. In which he replied.

"Daily practice and training."

Inspector Megure scolded Conan for doing something dangerous in which Conan just lowered his head as he thought.

'I only did it because I had a chance to stun the criminal!'

Conan didn't refute Megure's statement as the incident already happen, he only thought to himself.

'If you give me another chance, I wouldn't have miss!'

The CSI hostage was carried by his fellow CSI as he pass out from getting hit in the face with a freaking metal helmet. While the other CSI kept the murder weapon which was the long sword and the long dagger found inside Iijima's shirt onto a weapon box as they tightly secured it. After this incident, Seiya led Ran back to his car as he drove back to her home. Ran who was in the passenger seat spoke of Seiya's solving skill as she admired it, Seiya shook his head as he said.

"That was dumb luck. Anyway, it seems that we are very unlucky today as we saw such gruesome scene."

"Indeed...."

Ran immediately noticed that Seiya ended the topic using an excuse, she thought that Seiya seem to have some past that he didn't want to talk about as she agreed with Seiya's statement of being unlucky. This made her remember the times when she was with Shinichi as everytime they went somewhere, there would always be a murder case and Shinichi would always try to solve the case as she waited for him. Ran became silent as she thought while staring at the sunset.

'Shinichi, Where are you? Are you doing well?'

Seiya sigh as he could feel that Ran was still thinking about Shinichi who already turned into Edogawa Conan, he knew the time was not ripe as Seiya felt Ran's capture level was rated SSS, but he shook his head to remove that crazy thought. He didn't know when he has changed as he began to think about conquering girls that he used to like in his previous life.

'I feel like a scumbag.....even though I plan to be responsible...*sigh*'

He removed his thoughts as he focused on driving Ran back to her home, after arriving in front of the Mouri Detective Agency. Ran went out of the car as she bowed while saying.

"Thank you for accompanying me, I really had a lot of fun today."

Ran has to admit that she really had a fun time being with Seiya as he isn't like Shinichi who would complain and show a bored expression when she takes him to different places, she didn't know that her thoughts were changing as she began comparing Seiya against Shinichi while a seed of emotion inside her began to grow into a seedling, it will be a matter of time before she permanently changes. After seeing Ran went inside her home, Seiya drove back to Suzuki's Mansion without knowing Tomoko Suzuki awaiting for his arrival.
