(Levar Point of View)

I see Asaka heading to the kitchen and I was about to follow when I remember that I am on my period. I look down at my pants and there is a blood spot. What am I going to do? I can't have her know that I am trans. What if she feels like I was lying to her? Can I just stand up and pretend that I don't know why I am bleeding? No, she might want to see why I am bleeding to make sure I am alright. It is at the bottom so she might not see it. I have to think of something. What if I say that I need to go to the bathroom? That won't work. She might stay and see the blood spot. Plus, how is that going to help with the pants issue? Even if I change my pad, I will still have a blood spot. Also, my thighs are going to be covered in blood from how long I have had the pad on. Well, I guess one good thing is that I don't have a tampon in. That would be bad and I don't want to deal with toxic shock syndrome symptoms again. It wasn't bad the first time but it would have been I think two days and with me having it before I don't know if that means that I will more likely get it again.

"Darling? Aren't you coming with me?" I look up at her with slight fear that she might be able to read what is happening. "Darling? What's wrong?"

I try my best to calm down as I try to think of an excuse. "I just remembered something. You can go on without me. I will be there soon." That isn't a complete lie so it might work and hopefully, my face doesn't become red.

I see her look at me with concern. "What did you remember?" What am I supposed to say? I am on my period. Biological males don't get periods. She won't believe me or if she does she might hate me.

I pause for a minute as I think of an excuse. "I have some medication that I need to take." That was dumb. The only medication that I have is testosterone and I changed my patch yesterday I think. Whenever I was at work last I changed it so I am good for now.

I see her relax slightly. "I can ask a friend of mine to get it for you. What does it look like?"

Good. She believed me. I guess if I am going to be here for a while I will need them. Plus, she didn't ask what it was. I relax. "It's in a box under my bed."

She smiles at me. "Let me call my friend." I watch her leave the room and I head straight to the bathroom.

I take off my pants and I look for her pads. I don't find them right away but when I do, I grab one when I hear a knock on the door. I jump slightly, I close the cabinet, and I quickly put the pad on. Luckily she has thick pads so I will be able to last a while with this.

"Are you alright in there, darling?"

"Yes, I am. I just had to go to the bathroom."

"I will be out here if you need anything."

"Actually, can you get me new pants? Mine" I pause for a second, trying to think of an excuse, "ripped." I need new pants because of the blood so this is my best bet.

"Yes, I can."

I wait in the bathroom for the new pants. She soon brings me sweatpants. I put them on. They are a bit big but they work. I tie them so they can fit. I look in the mirror and I look decent. I leave the bathroom and I see Asaka sitting on the bed. I guess she was waiting for me. She smiles up at me.

"Hello, darling. I see the pants fit well but they do seem a bit big. I can get you some pants if needed. Oh, and I can take care of your ripped pants."

I give a small nervous chuckle. "There is no need for that. I can do it myself. Plus, I have pants of my own."

"I know you have pants of your own but if you are going to be here for a bit, I want to make sure you have pants that fit you correctly. Plus, if I fix your ripped pants now, you can wear them again after they are washed."

"That's fine. Plus, it isn't like that is my favorite."

"That doesn't mean I can't fix them for you."

Why is she so persistent? Maybe if I change the topic she will drop it. "Shouldn't we go make breakfast?"

She lets out a small sigh. "Yes, we should but I will fix those pants for you afterwards." Well, that buys me some time. I can work with that.

I smile slightly. "Alright. Well, let's go make those muffins."

I see her smile back at me as we head into the kitchen. She helps me grab all of the stuff out as we make muffins. I do end up burning myself when I take out one of the trays.

"Shit."

Asaka looks over at me as I hold my hand, dropping the tray and mitten that I was holding to get the tray out. "Darling. What happened?" She hurries over to me and she looks at my hand.

"Well, I was holding the mitten, but they don't do much against the heat when with my thumb and the palm area under my thumb."

"Let me see." I see the concern she has as I let her look at my hand. It's quite red where I burned my hand and it hurts. "Let's put it under cold water and then get some aloe on it."

"That's a good plan," I respond as she gently puts my hand under cold water before carefully drying my hand and then putting some aloe on my hand. I let her do so. She seems so focused and caring. Is she like this everyone? She did say that she is a police officer so maybe. She said that she normally doesn't flirt with people and with how she looks you wouldn't think she would care about anyone but herself. However, it seems like she is more caring than she looks. I like this. I like being cared for. I know she probably doesn't want to take care of me, especially if she ever finds out I am trans. Once she finishes taking care of me, she lets go of my hand.

"Let me finish up, you go sit down."

"I can go do that. Thank you." I smile at her.

She smiles back at me. "It's no problem."

I sit down on the couch. I wait for her to finish taking the rest of the trays out of the oven.
