Da Yu

After the spectacle the first fight offered, the following matches were quite lacklustre. But there was a special case amongst this year's combatants.

The first and foremost was Yao Tai, who was basically considered invisible at this point. Then there was the mysterious person, who had a hat and his upper clothes hiding his feature, not allowing anyone to recognize him. But no one underestimated him, as, like Yao Tai, he barely seemed to move before his opponent became unconscious. In the women's group, there was Yao Tian's the girl he just met a while ago, Sister Yu on the field

"It's that dangerous lady! But why is she here? She doesn't seem much like a fighter at all. "

Her skin was free of any blemishes or scars. She lacked any kind of fierce aura exuded by the other female contestants.

Indeed, unlike the other female participants who had lean muscles and almost similar physics to the men. Da Yu had the appearance of a normal girl who never practised any martial arts. But he didn't need to think for long as she was called for the next match against another female contestant.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coming up on the field first was the fierce looking woman. Her appearance alone could intimidate any who've dared to cross her path.

She stood a head taller than Da Yu with nearly double the mass.

Truly a dangerous foe.

"Well, what do we have here? Aren't you that whore who works for the Blue Lily brothel? Go back pleasing men, you don't deserve to be here." Said the buff woman with a sneer.

'Taunting her will be easy. She is obviously not a fighter. So might as well rile her up and get it done with a single attack' Thought the strong woman.

"Why, it seems that big sister has mistaken about my identity. This one is friends with the Blue Lily Pavillon and their members. And I just came here to reconnect with my dear sisters~."

Even after the woman's harsh insult, Da Yu still replied with a gentle smile on her face.

'Well that didn't work...maybe she's just acting calm. I'll try again.' She'd met many fighters before who acted all calm and cool in the beginning, only to quickly lose their temper and make rookie mistakes.

"Don't act smug in front of me bitch, I'll teach you a lesson by ruining that pretty face of yours!"

"Oh my, calling me pretty in the middle of a fight. Such a charmer, big sister~" Teased Da Yu faking a blush.

Off put by her act, the woman decides to forgo the taunting tactic and to just straight-up attack her.

Being the first one to move, the combatant charged up ahead with her fist up, ready for a quick jab.

Coming up close, she punched towards Da Yu's face, with a mocking smile thinking that the fight was already over.

But unfortunately, that attack was dodged at the last second by Da Yu who sidestepped missing dodging the punch at a hair's breath.

"Wh-what?" Not expecting Da Yu to be able to evade her fist punch, she barely was able to not get thrown off her momentum.

After regaining her ground, she immediately started throwing a volley of punches and kicks towards Da Yu who kept evading every single one with ease and elegance.

Ha!" Another punch aimed at her stomach was launched.

"Too slow~" Only to be dodged by Da Yu.

"Well, how about this!" This time she lashed out with her feet, going for Da Yu's front leg.

But as quick as a snake and as graceful as a swan, Da Yu followed the force of the attack, spun around and used her other feet to quick of the ground and create a large gap between them.

"Wow! Such and strength, I truly believe that sister deserved to be in the men's group." Seemingly impressed, she complimented the strong woman.

But it only infuriated her increasingly angry opponent. "Shut up." She growled and continued to lash out with her every strike.

"Hahaha~ big sister, you must calm down a bit, your performance has the appearance of an enraged boar." Provoked Day Yu with a sly smile.

"Shut up you bitch! Stop dodging and start fighting back you weakling!" Her constant evading couples with her using her own taunting strategy against her slowly but surely enraged the strong woman.

A flash of light passed by Da Yu's eyes, but her face remained smiling. She stopped dodging and put some distance between them.

Prepared for a counterattack the strong woman immediately put up her guard.

Only for Da Yu to start talking again.

"Why being called a weakling is a bit too much isn't it? After I've been able to keep up with big sister after all. " Replied Da Yu with a slight edge of anger in her voice.

Seeing her reaction the female combat smiled, 'Hah, it seems that I touched a nerve. I finally got her!'

"I touched a nerve, didn't I? You may say otherwise about yourself, but to me, you're still nothing more than a weakling whore, who should try to find a rich man to comfort! "

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

.

Yao Tian, who was witnessing the scene by the side was sweating buckets, the more he watched on. 'Something's not right about that Da Yu girl, something tells me that her opponent shouldn't have gone that far with her provocations....'

Ever since he accidentally met the woman a few moments ago, his senses kept telling him to stay wary of her. 'Yeah, something is really off about her...'

And as soon he finished that train of thought, the atmosphere in the field became cold. The happy smile on Da Yu turned into a frown, she let out a sigh before looking the woman right in the eyes and said, "Here I was trying to be as humble and understanding as possible, but my patience can only go so far. "

The moment she said that Da Yu lift up her palm straight at her opponent and muttered a few words.

[Poison mist cloud].

Suddenly a dark blue colour formed in her hand and flew straight towards the opposite woman.

The surrounding people gasped in fright!

The strange pressure coupled with the appearance of the erie looking mist brought up a single word in minds of everyone.

" An Immortal Art! That woman is a true immortal! "

The people were very surprised, this was the first immortal, they have ever seen in all of their lives.

The surrounding regions were only habituated by mortals, with people able to cultivate never coming near the region due to the lack of any form of potent Qi in here.

Now witnessing the attack of Da Yu, people hesitated between staying and watching the fight, as it may be the first and last time they ever see something like this. Or run away and avoid being accidentally killed.

After all, immortals are pretty notorious in their disregard towards mortal's life.

"Calm down! She joined the tournament at her own accord, she would have harmed us if she wanted to in the beginning!" The announcer shouted trying to calm the crowd.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the mist left her palm it immediately surrounded the woman before she could escape.

"I give up!! I GIVE UP!!!" Cried out the woman painfully aware of her situation and her previous folly.

But the announcer did not acknowledge her forfeit. Rather he didn't dare to do so, in fear of offending he immortal.

Some of people in the crowd noticed this and started to whisper among them.

"What is going on? Why isn't he calling her forfeit?" Asked a random man in the crowd?

"You fool, do you want to announce it instead? There is no guarantee that she would even stop her attack if asked her to. And she might even take it badly and hurt him." Answered back another man.

"So what, we just leave her to die?" Argued the first man, "Yes! Stop being a dumbass, unless you're an immortal yourself, never go against them!"

Similar conversations were taking place in the crowd. And the announcer hearing some of them was glad that most of the same opinion as him.

But one young man didn't share it. "Hey! heard the lady, she forfeited so stop thi-!" Shouted an angry Yao Bao only to be shut up by both his brother and old man Jing.

"Old man Jing, can you bring back Bao back to the house? it's too dangerous here." The old man nodded and dragged the young boy away.

Back in the field, cries of anguish and pain reverberated from inside the mist cocoon and it only got worse with each passing moment. The spectators each had a horrified face while witnessing the scene.

The mist dissipated and a hideous figure fell to the ground, it was Da Yu's opponent but her appearance had completely changed. Her body became dangerously emaciated, her skin seemed to have rotten with green and red skin almost peeling off her person. Her hair was long gone, all in all, she just resembled a walking skeleton.

"P-Please have mer-mercy on me. I couldn't recognize the esteemed mistress in front of me. " She pleaded with her heart filled with regret and despair.

"You should have thought about it before offending me with your harsh words, despite my warning."

Tears started streaming down the woman's face. "Ple-please have mercy." She pleaded again.

The scene was unbearable to Yao Tian, he wanted for all of this to stop. The woman didn't deserve death, she was only what was necessary to win. This was going too far.

Unknown to him, Da Yu had briefly glanced at him without anyone noticing. Seeing his expression, she released a small sigh.

Turning her attention to the no longer strong woman, Da Yu dispersed the poisonous fog. "I guess, I went too far with my actions...this is a simple spar and I did come here to have a bit of fun. Nevertheless, I do apologise."

After waiting for the medic do take away her previous opponent, she left the field while the spectators all cleared a road for the lady. They didn't want to experience the same fate as the poor woman prior.

"Unfortunately, due to my restricted schedule, I will have to leave the tournament so don't expect me to come back. I have already finished my business with the local Blue Lilly branch." After saying those words, she walked off the ground and disappeared to where the Blue Lilly brothel branch was located.

Yao Tian couldn't believe his eyes, as for the first time he saw the object of his everyday thoughts in front of him. Should he be excited? Scared? Or both?

He didn't know, but what he did know is that his previous judgment of Da Yu was correct, she was a dangerous woman.

His brother, soon came back running probably after getting away from old man Jing.

"Oh my god did you see Tian?! Did you see it?! I heard people saying that she used an immortal technique! I want to be like her too. Hey, can we go see her later, please! I want to be able to fly but with a sword in the future just like in the stories!"

Yao Tian was speechless at his brother's attitude and request to visit that deadly woman. He really wanted to show off the state of her previous opponent, but he just couldn't do it. Yao Bao would be scarred for life and he's still barely 6 years old.

After a group came in to clean up the fields, the announcer was at a loss for words. He decided to continue and forget about the matter for later.

"Well.....that was unexpected, but the tournament is still on ladies and gentlemen, so let's continue!" The spectators all were a bit awkward but after a few moments of silence decided to continue to enjoy watching the fights, but the same could not be said to the village chiefs who were drenched in sweat from fear.

Red Mountain Village's chief Song Lao was the most worried. After with another slightest misstep, his village might disappear in an instant.

"My old friends, as fellow chiefs you must help me to deal with the current situation. "

" I'm afraid that this matter goes beyond anything we can do, what about you think Lan Shi?" Replied Green Leaf Village's chief Lu Zhi.

"Our Blue River Village has always been ready to help out anyone in trouble, but Old Song, you are forgetting that we have nothing to worry about. "

"What do you mean nothing to worry about?! We have a freaking potentially dangerous cultivator in my village!" Shouted the chief hysterically.

"Calm down, if she wanted to kill us all then she would have done it already and she came here to visit the Blue Lilly brothel that she seems to be associated with. If you want to be on her good side, then don't tax that establishment and offer them some gifts before they leave at the end of the festival. " Song Lao calmed down after hearing Lan Shi's words and agreed with them, as long as he played his cards correctly, he might even gain Mistress Da Yu's benevolence!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The tournament continued, as usual, Yao Tai dominated the fights, the mysterious man always defeated his opponents in less than a second. The remaining women did exceptionally well to the point where one even ended up being placed 3rd, only because she encountered Yao Tai on her last round.

Wen He was her name and her expertise was in the use of swords and martial arts.

Everyone cheered her on, even Yao Tai congratulated her and offered the woman and a jug of milk for her "to grow stronger" according to him.

The 3rd place winner soon left with a weird expression on her face and a jug of milk. She was a bit freaked out by Yao Tai and wished to go back and resume her training.

Now the time had finally arrived, with the last match which will determine this year's champion. Surprisingly, unlike the previous years, no one knew who would win as a black horse had appeared. Standing face to face both the finalist were silent.

Even Yao Tai no longer had his constant smile, but now wore a serious expression with narrowed eyes.

"It's been a long time hasn't it, Uncle Tai? "

Long chapter, if there are any mistakes let me know! I've tried adding more dialogue between characters. At last, the story is picking up speed and the plot advances nicely. Review my story if you can! Or add it to library if ya want.
