1 The beginning

It was a silent chilly night that day, the sounds that one would be able to hear commonly were not there, it was almost morbidly quiet, except a sudden low sound coming from up on a tree branch.

!groan

"Uh, oh ... I'm in trouble" said the soft voice

A young boy suddenly woke up on a large tree branch of an old overgrown moss tree in a forest, he climbed up here on this branch a few hours back when he snuck out of the village, he always wanted to climb here to see the forest from a height of the branch of this tree, but as he was watching the sunset, he fell asleep during it.

He would be in huge trouble if it was found out that he was out in the forest this late

That's because, he and other villagers were forbidden to come out of the village before night, and especially the kids like him.

The boy was woken up by a chilling feeling in the humid air in the forest.

"What is the reason this is happening ? " said sleepily the young boy still laying on a large tree branch

"I must return to the village before big brother finds out that I snuck out, but .... i don't want to go yet before checking what´s going on."

The boy carefully jumped off the tree branch he was on and started looking around the tree if he sees any animals. He was shocked as there were none. "No animals .. not even insects, were they scared of something, or just hiding because of me making ruckus ?" said the boy out loud. At that moment the boy heard a long-piercing sound coming from some distance away.

!Zzzziiiiiii

The boy was shocked, he didn't know what to do, but he wanted to know what is happening and wanted to check it out before returning to the village. He started running in the direction where he thought the sound came from, which was deeper into the forest away from the village.

During his running, the boy realized that the thing or entity which produced such sound might be dangerous and that he should approach carefully, and take attention to any small details of the forest around him. He thus slowed down and just walked at a quicker pace.

He saw a faint bluish light, hiding, and weaving through the trees.

"What´s that ?" thought the young boy

As he approached he saw that the light was growing larger and brighter at a rapid pace

The boy hid behind a tree, thinking that with the increasing luminosity of light he might be visible to whatever the thing or entity was. He choose a tree with a view on the plains where the source of the sound was.

The boy was trying his best at slowing down his panicked breathing. He feared to make any sound. The boy has just now realized how far away from the village he went without thinking about it much, and that the villagers and his brother won't find him here, should something happen to him. As the boy was thinking, the light was still getting stronger and stronger.

!Zzzziiii

Another piercing sound was heard. The boy quickly looked at where the source of the sound was, but even with the still-increasing intensity of the light, he couldn't discern what was happening on the plains. He saw a shadow with whitish-blue electric currents flowing around the thing or a being.

" Lightning and shadow? what even is that thing" thought the scared boy

The shadowy thing was seemingly absorbing the "lightning" around it, and with it, the light in the vicinity was becoming more and more intense. As the boy was thinking that the lightning will fully disappear into the shadow, the surrounding light all started coming to the bits of the lightning that still were around. With that the bits of lightning connected once again.

As the light was centering to the lightning, the plains were once again cast to the common mundane darkness of night. After a time, all the previous light was no more and only the unusual shadow and lightning stayed.

The boy, still hidden behind the tree was looking at the thing happening on the plains, he never saw anything of sorts in his life, he was even doubting if all of this wasn't just a dream

" I should run, but I want to understand what is happening, I will stay ..for just a bit longer"

The shadow once again moved towards the lightning, and started learning the position where the lightning was, the lighting reacted and went to counter. The two forces started to repel each other.

! Riiip

A sound, as if the paper was ripped or torn. A gap, a void, emptiness, absolute darkness the boy didn't know how else he could describe what he just witnessed.

The void abruptly sucked in the shadowy thing along with the lighting, the moment both have disappeared so did the void, as if nothing was ever there.
